Titanosaurus(picture above) is a ancient aquatic dinosaur that continues to live in modern times. There is a dinosaur that was discovered that was given the same name of Titanosaurus four years after this Titanosaurus's first appearance in Terror of Mechagodzilla, though the name is the only thing the two dinosaurs share. Titanosaurus is peaceful in nature, only becoming violent when threatened, or mind-controlled by aliens like he was in Terror of Mechagodzilla, his first appearance in the Godzilla franchise and his only film appearance to date. Being aquatic, he has fins and webbed hands to help him travel in water. He can also walk on land should he have to.

Titanosaurus was first discovered by a scientist, though his colleagues didn't believe him. This drove the scientist mad and, years later, joined a group of aliens who wished to conquer Earth and wanted Titanosaurus's assistance. They had tried to conquer Earth before with their robot creation Mechagodzilla, but it was defeated by Godzilla and sunk into the ocean. After successfully taking control of the normally timid Titanosaurus's mind and regained control of Mechagodzilla, they attacked Japan and came close to killing Godzilla. The humans, however, found that Titanosaurus couldn't stand high pitched sound waves and used that to help Godzilla. Not only did it weaken Titanosaurus, but it broke the alien's control over him. However, with Mechagodzilla defeated again, Godzilla still saw Titanosaurus as a threat and continued to throw him over a cliff into the ocean. Since Titanosaurus's roar can be heard sometime afterwards, it is speculated that Titanosaurus survived and lives in the ocean peacefully.

Despite Titanosaurus's peaceful nature, he is definitely much stronger then he looks. Titanosaurus was able to pick Godzilla up by his throat with just his jaw and threw him a great distance, which means Titanosaurus is more than capable of lifting hundreds of thousands of tons. Titanosaurus is also able to jump higher then other kaiju his size. When Titanosaurus swings his tail fin, he can create winds powerful enough to blow away entire buildings, something only Rodan, arguably the fastest of Earth's kaiju, had been able to do before. Titanosaurus's roar can be unsettling after sometime hearing it, since it sounds somewhat like a dolphin and an elephant mixed together.

Though Titanosaurus's only movie appearance as of yet was only in Terror of Mechagodzilla, the movie he debuted in, he has appeared numerous times in the graphic novels and games about Godzilla, usually as a ally to the Earth. In Godzilla: Save the Earth and Godzilla Unleashed, Titanosaurus is oddly classified as a mutant monster despite being born naturally on Earth. It may have been because the Earth Defender class, which monsters like Godzilla and Mothra are, has many monsters already in it and the Mutants needed another member, but other then this I can't see how Titanosaurus can be a Mutant. The only reason Titanosaurus fights the other monsters in Godzilla Unleashed is, according to Wikipedia, because the meteor shower that rained across Monster Island, signaling SpaceGodzilla's soon approaching return, basically ticked Titanosaurus off, causing him to awaken and search for the cause. In Godzilla Unleashed, Titanosaurus has the ability to shoot high frequency sound waves as a way to combat the breaths and rays of the other monsters.

In the graphic novels Titanosaurus often is on the same side as Godzilla defending the Earth. In fact, Titanosaurus fought alongside Battra against the powerful SpaceGodzilla, though the two were obviously no match for the space mutant. In the book Godzilla Legends, a book which tells untold stories about five of Godzilla's kaijus, Titanosaurus was one of them. In Titanosaurus's story "Secrets," a boy's pychic powers grow stronger with the help of Miki Saegusa who is also pychic. Unknown to both of them, the boy is being monitored by aliens, whose home will be destroyed by a black hole and feels they need to take the Earth as their new home. When the boy accidentally tapped into the mind of none other than Titanosaurus, the alien spy who was with him at the time decided they needed him and Titanosaurus. After sensing that his parents were in danger, the boy's powers take him back to his home and unwittingly calls upon Titanosaurus to come as well. After the boy finds his parents are gone, he meets Titanosaurus as he looked into the window at his human friend. Suddenly the boy is knocked unconscious by the aliens, which sends Titanosaurus into rage, but before he could do anything Titanosaurus is abducted and taken to the alien's homeworld along with the boy. The aliens chain Titanosaurus amongst the growing army of Mechagodzillas and other alien war machines as the aliens trick the boy into thinking that he still on Earth and that the aliens kidnapped his parents. Though it isn't revealed what happens to the boy or Titanosaurus after this, it is possible that the boy eventually learned the truth and Titanosaurus fights alongside Godzilla to defeat the aliens.
