The Legendaries

Name(s): The Legendaries; Daneal, Claw, Rozzia, Jadina, and Shimy
Franchise: The Legendaries series

The Legendaries(picture above) are a group of heroes that fight and protect their world of Alysia. Each member represents a different virtue and their personalities revolve around their respective virtue, though they do tend to show their other personality traits more often than not unless in battle, in which their respective virtues show. The Legendaries started as a french comic book series in 2004 which later was published in other languages, obviously including English. The Legendaries then became a children's tv cartoon.

The Legendaries were fighting against the dark sorcerer Darkhell in order to recover a powerful jewel. This jewel was one of six magical jewels that gave any who possess them great power. During the battle however the jewel shattered, which set off an explosion and a curse on everyone, the Legendaries included, which reverted all to children. Everyone blamed the Legendaries for this disaster, which caused the Legendaries to separate. However, the leader Daneal brought them back together so that they can find a way to repair the damage they caused. Though everyone still blames them for what happened, and even laughs at their efforts, the Legendaries continue to defend their world from further disaster. They travel between the many regions and kingdoms that populate the land in search of a way that might lift the childish curse upon them.

Their world is a fantasy one, but they are knowledgeable in technology and science, though it isn't as advanced as ours. Visually Alysia is similar to the lifestyle seen in Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, which is also a mix of magic and technology. The people of Alysia are smart enough to not only tell how pure a piece of jade is, but also know how to build entire buildings with jade or stone, depending on the region. Alysia is also extremely advanced in the ways of magic. The ancestors of Alysia were capable of creating magical creatures that can live without food and were able to restrict those creatures to the temples they also created, and this is an ancient practice to the Legendaries. A race of people known as the Elemental Elves are capable of controlling the forces of air, fire, water, and rock with their magic. These elves are even capable of physically fusing themselves with the forces of air, fire, water, and rock.

The Legendaries themselves are powerful despite the childish curse put upon them and the people of Alysia. As stated before, each Legendary is a living representation of a virtue. Each of the five members work together like a machine in harmony.

Daneal- The leader of the Legendaries and the representation of the virtue of Dignity. Once a knight, always a hero, Daneal never runs from a fight worth fighting unless he has a very good reason to, and even then he rarely backs down. Though Daneal is far from being the strongest, his leadership skills is unsurpassed and his friendship with the Legendaries is matched only by the Legendaries themselves, guiding them through the toughest battles. Other then his experience in physical combat, his only weapon is a magical golden sword which can return to him at his will should he ever lose it. He was once the head knight of the king of all Alysia's Royal Guard before forming the Legendaries, which is likely how he met Shimy. He was Claw's best friend even before the Legendaries were formed, and Claw's loyalty shows. In the cartoon, Claw once shed a tear and immediately took charge in a fight against a monster, believing said monster had just eaten Daneal.

Jadina- The representation of the virtue of Intelligence, though her lifestyle as a princess makes her seem rude and snobby but dedicated to the Legendaries. In fact, she's so dedicated that her mother, despite Jadina's reasons for joining and helping the Legendaries, made the choice to banish her daughter and the Legendaries from her kingdom. Jadina is very knowledgeable and skilled in the ways of magic, as her people naturally are. This skill in magic has occasionally given Jadina the ability to receive visions, usually from her kingdom's eagle-like goddess. The kingdom where Jadina hails from practically lives on jade, a mineral which in Alysia enhances the power of all forms of energy known to Alysia, which actually puts the kingdom at risk of being destroyed by just a minecart full of explosives, if it explodes in the jade mines that is. Daneal secretly, but noticeable if you know the signs of such, has a slight affection for Jadina, yet the jade princess always seems to have a slight affection to another close individual in both the comics and cartoon. Jadina, according to the comic books, also doesn't get along well with Shimy, the only other girl of the Legendaries, though the cartoon suggests quite the opposite.

Claw- Also referred to as Ironclaw in some publications of the comic and referred to as Griff in the cartoon. The representation of the virtue of Courage, though it's his impulsiveness and joking behavior that his friends know him by when not in a fight. A literal man-beast, Claw was Daneal's best friend even before the Legendaries were formed. He walks, talks, and wears clothes like any other human or humanoid in Alysia, but when he runs or fights, he is quite feral(wild) and animalistic in nature. The comics show that there's an entire race of man-beasts that Claw hails from, though whether or not they appear in the cartoon I personally don't know.. His claws are his main weapon in a fight, hence the name. Claw can slash almost faster then the eye can see and can send enemies flying. Claw can also run faster then a human, though he isn't the fastest thing in the world. His sense of smell is an important tool to the Legendaries, which is powerful enough to tell the difference between nearly any human he's met and any animal, plus he can determine from the smell when said human(s) and/or animal(s) have been within the area in the last week or so, tops. Claw has a vast knowledge of creatures and how they live and where to find them, which makes sense considering Claw himself is an animal. Claw also has an extraordinary climbing and partcore ability which allows him to easily jump between buildings and environments. He is also surprisingly good at stealth, though not the best at it. It's possible he has affection for fellow Legendary Shimy, though he doesn't make it very clear that he does nor does Shimy show affection for him in the slightest.

Rozzia- the representation of the virtue of Strength, and also knowledgeable in the ways of archeology. Before the curse was set upon Alysia, Rozzia was the strongest of the Legendaries, and still is. Despite being turned back into a child, his great strength remained. Rozzia is strong enough to lift a boulder with one hand and hold another boulder in another hand and still easily get around. He can also throw boulders and other large objects great distances. Rozzia can also punch through thick steel doors with little effort. He also has a gaint sword he can use in battle should using his bare hands not be enough. Mind you, he was turned into a child like most everyone else and is still capable of said feats. Rozzia also has a great appetite and will eat anything given the chance. This has yet get in the way of fighting alongside the Legendaries however. Apparently he also has a past with Darkhell's daughter, evidence being that she often tries to catch Rozzia's affection and repeatedly calls him her "kurbo". In the cartoon, the Legendaries discovered a race of humanoid mole people who, as they later found out, were banished underground by a king from centuries ago. These mole people perceived Rozzia as their old king reincarnated and gave him their king's belt, well aware that the belt would slowly turn Rozzia to act as violently as their king once did. Fortunately this plan was foiled and the mole people realized their mistake in time to help the Legendaries fix an ancient elemental lighthouse gone haywire. This act lead to these mole people to eventually be allowed back above ground and be welcomed back into Alysia, and they became even more loyal and friendly to Rozzia for his help. This would later help the Legendaries, since sometimes they run into a village who'll blame a tribe of these mole people for their disasters and Rozzia always defends the mole people and speaks with the tribe to make sure they weren't at fault. Whether or not this mole race appears in the comic, I'm not sure.

Shimy- The representation of the virtue of Purity and is a powerful Elemental Elf. She was even chosen to be the Sacred Elemental Elf for the king. As stated before, the Elemental Elves are capable of controlling and fusing with the forces of fire, water, and rock. Shimy is no different. She may have been able to use the element of air along with the elements of fire, water, and rock and may have been able to levitate before the curse turned everyone to children, but that has been lost to her now. She can still get around very easily with or without the help of her elemental based powers. However, if she doesn't have access to any fire, water, or rock or simply can't get near a supply of said elements, she is powerless and very much defenseless. Since Alysia is mostly covered in nature, Shimy likely only has to worry about her powers whenever she is inside a building not made of stone, though it is possible for her to be caught off guard when she is not in the immediate area of fire, water, or rock. If she uses too many elemental fusions at a time, her energy can be exhausted and she can pass out from it, as seen in an episode where she was so determined to save the Legendaries from a ghostly fate that she neglected her energy usage completely and fainted mid-battle. Shimy is also known for being mostly calm and composed when in battle or in general, though she can act childish when she feels like outside of battle, though judging from her usual personality she would only behave childish to get back at another Legendary for joking about her or making fun of her, probably towards Claw mostly. Being the chosen Elemental Elf to the king, she is one of the few who knows the location of a extremely rare, beautiful, and magically dangerous breed of fish that are so hungry for magic, they can drain any living being of their magic permanently. In the cartoon, Shimy was forced to use one of these fish on a strange, elemental meteor that her people had discovered, due to its elemental shockwaves slowly turning her whole home to stone. This episode of the cartoon was another occasion where she used her powers to the point of exhaustion, but she didn't seem to care even after being convinced to let the other Legendaries take over for her in catching a fish. Then again, this just goes to show just how determined, loyal, and will-powered she is. Though the comic shows Shimy and Jadina being at ends with each other, the cartoon shows them to be quite friendly and even sisterly to one another.
