Songbird
Name: Songbird
Franchise: Bioshock
Gender: Male(supposedly)
Species: ❔❔❔
Songbird(picture above), a infamous, giant ,bird-like robot of-sorts, was created for the sole purpose of protecting and guarding Elizabeth. His design was apparently based off a being from an alternate dimension that visited the world of bioshock. Seeing how Songbird acts around people, especially Elizabeth, and how he seems to feel pain, one can assume that he, at least, has a brain and maybe even a heart. Though this is only specification, for it is unknown how Songbird was created as a whole.
How Songbird grew attached to Elizabeth is interesting. Songbird's creater couldn't get Songbird to care for Elizabeth, as he was built for keeping Elizabeth in her tower. One day, Songbird crashed into the tower, breaking his air tube in the process. Elizabeth, a child at the time, managed to fix Songbird's tube by simply reattaching it to Songbird. After that, all Songbird wanted to do was to protect Elizabeth, and the only way he found to do this was to keep Elizabeth from leaving the tower, even if it meant destroying the tower itself. We know this through a tape that shows exactly this moment. How ironic that we see this tape after we pretty much kill Songbird.
Songbird is a powerful "creature" with more then enough power to topple any building and can even knock out an entire fleet of airships. According to the GameInformer magazine, Songbird is seen to be around 18 ft tall, and weighs countless tons. He can somehow fly at high speed, considering a "creature" of his bulk. On his hands are claws that rip though material like a hot knife through butter. He also noticeably can climb buildings with ease. Though he responds to Elizabeth, he can be manipulated by the musical notes C,A,G,E. Songbird's eyes change color based on his mood: Green for happy and content, Yellow(or orange depending on your perspective) for neutral feelings, and Red for anger and rage.
Much like Bendy the ink demon, Songbird has a in-game plushie of himself. In fact, Irrational Games, the people who made the Bioshock series, actually sell the Songbird plushie exclusively on their website. Songbird is also a playable character in the Bioshock Infinite board game.
