Scyther(picture above), the original mantis pokemon. In the games, it appeared in the first generation and has been seen in the games since. It's Pokedex entries say that Scythers can faster than what the human eye can see, leaving only a blur. It can also fly, but according to the Pokedex, it is supposedly rarely seen doing so. Scyther can evolve into Szicor after being traded to another trainer while holding a Metal coat.

Scyther is a Bug/Flying dual type pokemon. They can grow 4'11" tall and can weigh 123.5 lbs. In the anime, it's been seen that Scythers form groups in the wild. Reportedly, they fight to determine the leader, the losers leaving the group. It's also said in some sources that Scyther is hard to catch and is rare to find compared to other pokemon.
