Trishalini POV
"Kiss me back," he muttered and I could not help but try to push my hand firmly against his chest. My breath was shortening as I had forgotten how to breathe.
"Abhi!" I managed to inhale and the moment I felt his hand gently pulling my face up to his kiss, I felt something twist in my stomach. His thumb feathered against the middle of my neck and for a few moments, I forgot everything.
I felt him parting his lips and sucking mine between them. I could not stop my toes from rolling, which did something to me.
My heartbeats raced intensely and I immediately pushed him away and sat up. My eyes closed, and my hand rested over my chest.
"What happened?" he asked, catching my attention and I immediately looked back at him. His eyes were worried.
"You... scared me," I tried to say, unable to figure out what I felt.
He rolled his eyes and suddenly he pulled me back and I clicked my tongue with frustration.
"Uth jaiye, hume ye baar baar chipakna pasand nahi hai,"
"Get up, I do not like this sticking together frequently," I muttered and sat up again. And, this time I stepped down the bed.
He laid back, glaring at me and I sighed with frustration.
"Mana kardo, hum chipkenge hi nahi,"
"Then say No, and I would not even touch," he said, and I inhaled deeply.
His eyes stared at me and I sat down and muttered.
"Esa thodi keh rahe hai hum,"
"I am not saying like that," my voice came out slow.
He nodded slowly and forwarded his hand to me. I gulped before silently placing my hand in his and suddenly he shifted closer and put his head in my lap.
I widened a little, noticing him closing his eyes and shifting on his chest, with his face sideward and head back up.
He placed my hand on his head, and I could not help but feel my heartbeats slowing down. It was still dim in here.
"What happened?" I asked, slowly caressing his head and he shook his head.
"Nothing," he muttered and I kept moving my fingers in his head. He closed his eyes, and I stayed silent as he went back to dizziness.
But, with each passing moment, I could feel the irritation bubbling in me, of getting late. I hated staying abed after waking up, and he had the habit of sleeping late.
Turning behind, I noticed that it began getting brighter and suddenly I heard the rustling of feathers. My eyes widened with shock as I saw three pigeons flying in.
Not just flying, but one of them sat over the bed's edge and looked at me.
"Hello," I muttered and he shook his head, left, halt, then right and then at Yuvraj. He grunted stepping closer. His friend also sat on the friend, and I wondered if they should be there.
Oh, they must be waiting for him to wake up.
"Abhi," I called him slowly and looked at the Pigeon stepping closer. Suddenly, he jumped over his bicep and I stiffened. He looked at me, shaking his head again and then at him. He grunted and a few more pigeons followed and sat on the bed, stepping closer.
"Abhi," I called him. It was scaring me now. Another one jumped over his shoulder, grunting near his ear. And suddenly I realised that they all must be missing him for two days.
And, now finding him laid down, they got worried.
"Oh, he is not dead," I tried to say, and a pigeon looked up at me. And, I did not know anything of pigeons' expressions but he looked angry.
He grunted again.
"Abhi, I think you should get up, your friends are scaring me," I tried to say and pat his other shoulder. I could not even move an inch having his weight in my lap.
The pigeon poked his beak into his arm but he still did not even move.
"Abhi," I called as he was scaring me even more now.
And, suddenly from somewhere, a small black cat jumped over the bed.
"Aaeeeee," I screamed at the top of my lungs and he woke up with a jerk to look at my face.
"Cat!" I squealed.
His face was extremely sleepy and he looked around.
The pigeons were not even scared of the cat as she slowly walked towards what he said. "Come, my baby," his words calmed me down.
He knew her.
Oh My God!
What the hell was happening?
"Hey, Syaahi," he called the black cat and held her in his hand. My heartbeats calmed in a few moments as I noticed him shifting down on his back and placing the cat on his chest.
He closed his eyes again and began stroking his back.
"Did you miss me baby?" he muttered in his deep and sleepy voice and the cat just stretched her paws and yawned.
"Did you meet your mother?" he asked and suddenly looked up at me.
"She is your pet?" I asked, and he smiled. A beautiful smile.
"Yes, she is only a few months old. Her mother left her alone here," he told me and I scarredly took my hand to her and the moment I touched her stomach, she looked at me.
She was jet black, her eyes were grey and when she stared at me, I could not help but feel frightened.
"She is scary," I could not help but say.
"She is just a child," he muttered leaning in to kiss her forehead.
"And, she does not eat pigeons," I asked, noticing how comfortable they were around her. Not a single one flew away.
And, they looked happy as their father was up.
"She does not know that they are edible for her," he replied and I nodded.
"Great," I inhaled sharply and looked at a pigeon stepping closer to me. As Yuvraj should on one knee, he jumped over my other and I smiled.
He was beautiful. A white one.
I bit my lower lip, slowly taking my hand to his head. He just blinked when I feathered my finger over his head.
Syaahi seemed to be jealous, as she walked down his chest and sat in my lap.
"I think, now she recognises her mother," he said, and I chuckled.
"It's only a week and I am already a mother," I muttered and gently caressed her back. She closed her eyes.
"You know, you are exactly like the cats," I could not stop myself from saying. "Except the part that you do not attack," I added and he stared at me.
"I mean, you sleep like this. Lazy, and full of arrogance," I said and he sat up a little, throwing the comforter away.
"When did I show you the arrogance?" He asked, and I clicked my tongue.
"Um, you keep showing your colours every then and there," I said and noticed him turn back to me after standing up.
He cocked his brow at me and suddenly bent forward. My eyes widened as he grabbed Syaahi and put her away before clutching his hand on my ankle.
"Abhi!" I warned to stop him from doing anything stupid, and suddenly he pulled me towards him, and before I could understand anything, he picked me up in his arms.
"Abhinandan!" I gasped and he looked into my eyes.
"I am trying hard to be a gentleman, and you are trying to bring my true colours out," he said, walking forward and stepping down the bed's stairs.
I tried to move my legs.
"What are you doing?" I asked with fear.
And he just smirked.
"Showing you my true colours," he said, and my eyes widened with shock.
"No, what? What are you doing?" I asked, trying to push him away, and the moment he turned towards the bathing room, I began struggling harder.
"Abhi, Maasa or Daadisa will walk in any moment. I am already late. Being a newlywed bride, I should not be staying in my room for this long. But, your children kept me busy along with you, and now you are taking me into the bathing room. And, God knows for what. Aaaayyyyyyyyy," I screamed at the end as he stood over the edge of the pool and straightened his hand with an untold threatening to throw me inside the water.
I clutched my fingers tightly on his neck and closed my eyes. "Abhi, no, please, I have already taken the bath. You are such a good man. I let you sleep on my lap. Please, please, do not do this. I cannot take the bath again. Please," I almost begged and opened my eyes to look at him.
"Please, please," I muttered, in heavy breathing and he nodded, stepping down the pool's edge and putting me down.
I immediately took a breath of peace.
"Are you mad?" I asked, and he half smiled.
"You spoke of me showing my colours. I thought of giving you the hint," he muttered, and I rolled my eyes.
"You are impossible," I said, and he chuckled looking around. And, I noticed that he was in my bathing room which I had taken the bath just a while ago.
And, suddenly an idea clicked into my mind and I immediately implemented it by placing both of my hands against his chest and pushing him into the pool.
"Aaaeeyyyyyyeee," he screamed at the top of his lungs before his voice was hidden beneath the water for a few moments.
But, I immediately regretted it as the heavy splash of water damped me. I signed deeply.
"Trisha!" he yelled slapping the water and suddenly his eyes turned intense. My heartbeats skipped a beat as he pushed his hair back.
I saw him standing up. His white kurta stuck to his body revealing everything he had to hide beneath it.
And, as he approached closer with the predatory steps, I stepped back. Lifting my skirt, I set up to run, and the moment he stepped out of the pool. I ran from there.
I came out of the bathroom, laughter released through my mouth, as I realised him walking behind me.
"Run as fast as you can. I am not leaving you today," I heard his deep voice and I turned to laugh at him.
"You were having trouble waking up, I helped you out," I said, and he nodded, stepping closer and suddenly he lifted his kurta off, and almost threw it at me.
I quickly stepped aside and it missed.
"Haha!" I laughed, mocking him a little and he shook his head.
"I am not going to forgive you for this," he said, stepping closer and I stepped back.
And, suddenly I stumbled against the couch and turned back to look at him.
"Aha," he chuckled and quickly stepped forward to me, and suddenly he slipped and my eyes widened as he lost his balance and fell over me. I tried to move out but before I could we both fell back on the couch.
"Aaah," I cried out with the sudden effect and his weight.
My feet lifted off my ground, tugging over the couch's armrest as I stuck under him. My hands pressed against his chest, and my face sidewards to escape any of the head crashes.
For a few moments, everything stopped and his weight was the only thing that I felt. And, as soon as those few moments passed, I felt his uneven breaths fanning against my face. I opened my eyes and angled my face to look at his.
His brows knit, eyes half open, and jaw tightened.
"I am sorry," he spoke in a low voice, and I could not help but his wet yet warm chest over my palms. And, more than that, I could feel his heart beating.
"Are you okay?" he asked, and I gulped nervously before nodding.
But, as soon as I nodded, I realised that my knees hurting under his weight.
"You are heavy," I muttered, and he just stared blankly at me for a few moments before smiling mischievously and nodding.
"Of course," he said and tried to stand up. Pulling his hands beside my face, he lifted himself and straightened. I was stuck.
"What are you doing?" suddenly, the voice of Daadisa caught my attention.
"Daadisa!" I gasped, and in the hurry of standing up, I fidgeted on the couch and fell.
"Ouccchhhhh!" I cried out and he just stood with his eyes wide.
"Trisha!" he sat down and I placed my hand under my back.
"Ouch," I yelped in a sudden pain.
"Trisha, what happened?" Daadisa came running at her slow speed and I shook my head.
"Nothing, I am fine," I tried to say and suddenly she slapped his shoulder.
"What the hell were you doing? Hn," she asked. "And, why on the earth are you naked at this time?" she raised her voice. "Why did you push Trisha down?" she asked further and I noticed him sighing and shaking his head in disbelief while helping me stand up.
He held my arm and slowly pulled me to my feet. I felt a little sprain in my ankle.
"Are you okay?" he asked while helping me walk a little and sitting me on the couch and knelt before me.
I shook my head. "It's hurting," I muttered and he looked behind at Daadisa for a moment. She was staring at him angrily.
"What are you doing in her chamber in this early morning? Abhinandan," she asked, sitting beside me and holding my shoulder with care.
"Kya karenge? Patni hai hamari,"
"What will I do? She is my wife," he replied in a slightly unpleasant tone. I immediately placed my hand on his shoulder and he looked up to look into my eyes. I shook my head very slowly. Almost unnoticeable.
"I am okay, Daadisa," I turned to look at Daadisa, and she nodded before standing up.
Clapping twice, she called an attendee in and ordered.
"Bring in some medicines for sprain or pain,"
The attendees ran away and I noticed his face, regretting and guilty. I caressed his shoulder and tried to stand up on my feet.
"I am really okay, Daadisa," I said, even though there was a little sting in my back.
"We were just talking and slipped," I tried to explain and she closed her eyes for a moment.
"You should be careful about you. The feast and celebration will begin the day after tomorrow and the guests will begin coming from tomorrow. You will have to be fit and fine to greet them," she said, and I nodded, lowering my gaze.
"I am sorry. I will take better care now," I managed to say, and she stepped closer and cupped my cheek.
"He is immature but you are not Trisha," she said, and I looked at him from the corner of my eyes. He stood silent and I nodded.
"He was not doing anything, I promise," I lied as I did not want her to scold him.
"Okay, I just came to see if you slept well or not," she said, and I nodded replying. "I am okay. We were just talking and going to see the... pigeons," I tried to say and she smiled.
"Alright," she muttered and looked at him. "Abhinandan, she is your wife. Love her and take care of her. She should feel special here as before everyone, she is here for you," she said with a slightly emotional tone and he nodded weakly while looking at me.
Daadisa left after saying that, I immediately looked at Yuvraj clicking his tongue.
"I think she is possessed," he said, and I knit my brows with confusion.
"What?" I asked.
"Yes, she talks differently. Like, my Daadisa would never order me anything in front of anyone," he said, and I burst into laughter.
He also chuckled and I saw him stepping closer and holding my hand and caressing it.
"On a genuine note, are you okay or should I call the physician?" he asked, and I walked a little around and looked at him.
"I am okay," I said, and he smiled and asked.
"So, do you want to feed the pigeons with me?"
I stared at me for a moment and nodded.
"Okay, but later you will come with me to see Madhuri too. Her baby is growing faster, she is an inch taller today," I told him and he looked back.
"Well, I should run back to my chamber before whole the Kingdom wakes up and gets ready first thing," he said, and I nodded.
"Meanwhile, I should call Meenakshi and see what I need to do," I said, and he cocked his brow and me and said.
"Go, walk, enjoy, see the Kingdom, the garden, the Kitchen and the Quarters. Take the command, My Queen," he muttered and I could not stop myself from chuckling.
"First, you learn to be a King," I teased him and he inhaled sharply.
"See you later," he muttered with a smile.
"Okay," I nodded and watched him turn around and go towards the back side of the garden to walk to his chamber.
This seemed to be an eventful day.
