Trishalini POV

Yuvraj was so much different. He always tried to talk to me, and I always said hurtful things to me. I was slightly contended that I did not marry Shantanu. I would never be able to smile if I were in Meera's place.

"And, you are not still pregnant?" I asked, all of a sudden. I wondered if they had done it so many times, how could she not get pregnant yet?

She shook her head. "No, I mean in one week we did it almost twenty times and no I am not pregnant yet," she said and my eyes widened with shock.

"Twenty times?" I asked and she laughed.

"Yes, it just feels so good, Trisha. Once you know, you will know," she said and I lowered my gaze.

But, this was not what I wanted from him. I mean, I understand that this was a crucial part of marriage but this could not be all of it. Or is it?

"You tell me, how is your husband and family?" she asked, and I looked up at her.

"My husband is different. He cares about me. You know, once he washed utensils with me, and then helped me wear those heavy jewellery and took my Buffalo and her child to the Kingdom," I said and she laughed.

"Really?" she asked and I nodded.

"Wow, this beautiful," she said and I nodded. Yes, this was beautiful and I should have appreciated that well.

"And, he does not feel ashamed of talking to me. I mean, he waited outside his Daadisa's tent so I could finish my conversation with her and then talk to him. He is good, really good," I said, and I did not know it made my heart heavy.

I should have behaved better. He was younger than me. He was confused. He had his problems, yet he never forced me to do anything I would not like. He tried to help me. He even asked me to be the Queen and he lowered himself to me.

Oh my God!

Why did I miss it?

"He is a Prince?" she asked again and I nodded.

"And, he helped you wash the utensils?" she asked, and I nodded. "Not just utensils, he even told me to not wear these biting toe rings if I did not want to. He brought me these tiny ones," I said and showed her my toe rings.

"Aw, this is beautiful. You are so lucky," she said and my weak smile shrank.

Was I lucky?

"He cares about me a lot," I managed to say and my eyes filled up with tears remembering the day he fainted when we tried to consummate. He did not want to hurt me and said he would never do that again. "He cannot see my crying," I muttered.

"Really?" she asked and I nodded. "My husband is slightly different. He liked it when I almost cried when we were making love," she said and I lifted my gaze to look at her.

I chuckled. "He would faint if I cried while doing that," I said and her eyes widened with disbelief.

"You are lying," she said and I chuckled shaking my head.

"I am not," I said.

"Trisha, he loves you so much. I mean, he is precious," she said and I looked at her.

"He loves me?" I knit my brows with confusion.

"Girl, what else do you want?" she asked shaking her head a little. "He cares about you so much. He helps you, he listens to you and he is good," she said and I looked away.

"He is just too much of himself sometimes. I mean, he turns cold. You know, when it gets emotional, he just runs or just turns silent, or just nods his head. He does not say anything," I said and a tear rolled down my cheek.

"I want him to speak at that time," I said, and I washed my lone tear and bit my lower lip to control myself.

"I want him to respect me. He is perfect but I have my insecurities too. I cannot just forgive him easily. It's too much difficult," I said and felt Meera's hand on my shoulder.

"Do not forgive him then," she said and I looked up at her. She smiled weakly. "What I have learnt in one week is that marriage is what you make it in your initial days. Two strange people meet with a blank slate in their hands. They experiment, discover and make a foundation for each other. The promises are made to be with each other, support each other have babies, grow them up and then die together. This is what it's meant to be," she said and looked away.

"Unlike me, you have your husband near you, you have privacy, and you can talk to him whenever you want. You are a Princess now. You can order people to bring him to you. You can do whatever you want with him, through and through. You know he is younger than you," she said and I chuckled.

"Maybe, he seeks that first step from your side too. Just like you are waiting for him to open up to you, he is waiting for you to open up to him too," she said and I looked up at her.

It made sense.

"I mean, since he listens to you, you can always tell him whatever you like and whatever you do not. It's just that easy. Unlike me, you can converse with him whenever and whatever you want to, about," she said and I nodded.

"Yes, that I can," I muttered and she placed her hand on mine.

"I know marriage is not just only about sleeping together, being doing dirty things but it's just own taste, way of expressing things and the comfort of intimacy between the two. I believe when you two will reach that level of comfort and intimacy between each other, you will not mind him touching you, too. Rather it will please you," she said with a smile and I lowered my gaze.

Still, I could not imagine him looking at my breast. That would be so embarrassing and awkward.

"You think?" I asked, and she nodded.

"Just give time. My husband and I begin with a blank slate but I think you two have so much written on your slates that either you should widen your slate or clean it up before writing something else. It's never too late for new beginnings," she said and I nodded.

"I like what you are saying," I said, and she wrapped her arm around me and we both kept talking and watching the wind blowing the tiny pores of the crops in the field away.

It was very refreshing to talk to her. She told me more about her in-laws and I told her about mine. And, while comparing I could not help but realise that I might have gotten bigger responsibilities than her but it was not all too bad. Maasa, Daadisa, Nandani Baisa, Baapusa, and everyone were way too good with me.

Even, Yuvraj was being good. But, I wanted him to work harder. Like, he did last night. He ruined it with sorries, I realised now.

"Jiji," suddenly Agastya's voice caught my attention and I noticed him standing around while eating grapes.

"Yes," I asked and he smiled.

"Guruji sent some vegetables for lunch," he said and I immediately stood up.

"Oh, it's time for lunch," I said and looked at him.

"Is Yuvraj awake or not?" I asked and he shook his head.

"I have not seen him," he said and I nodded.

"Wake him up," I said and sat back a little with Meera. "I will be there in a few moments," I added and he nodded, walking away from there.

I asked Meera to stay for lunch but she said that she needed to go back and see her mother. I hugged her before she left and walked to the front. Agastya and Yuvraj were not there.

After washing my hands, I indulged in making lunch.

I cooked three vegetables, one was the Bottle gourd for Pitaji, Saag for Agastya and mixed vegetables for Yuvraj. I cooked Kheer too for them. Agastya had a sweet tooth.

By the time I was done, I noticed Yuvraj and Agastya coming back.

They looked wet and I saw Yuvraj sneeze.

They must have gone by the river. I saw Agastya walking to the Ashram to call Pitaji, while Yuvraj walked inside.

I needed to talk to him. I wanted to spend one more day here.

So, I went in after him and found him taking his kurta off.

"Abhi," I called out slowly. The slight nervousness was instilled in me. He was not that bad.

"Hn?" he asked turning around and the moment my sight fell on his naked chest, I could not help but bite my lower lip.

So, a man likes it when a woman sits on him and rides. Oh, that's why he was about to kiss me when I climbed over to take the ring. Hn, he was not that good.

"Can we stay here for one more night? Pitaji is still not talking to me, and I do not feel like leaving before I talk to him and apologise," I managed to ask and he just casually nodded, without looking much at me.

"Of course, I will write to Maasa," he added and I smiled.

"Thank you," I muttered and turned to leave already. He looked slightly different. He did not flinch when I saw him half-naked. Neither did he try to cover himself up. And, suddenly before I could walk out, I felt my hand being pulled and my eyes widened with shock as my chest crashed into his.

"Abhi!" I immediately exclaimed. And, he pushed me against the wall before closing the door.

What was he doing?

"What are you doing?" I asked. My body shivered with fear. He was naked, he did not seem innocent, and Agastya and Pitaji would be back soon.

"Whatever every couple does," he said, and I could not believe my ears.

"Are you out of your mind?" I could not stop myself. How could he think it? How could he think of doing it to me? He would touch me? No. I mean, not now, not yet. Not ever.

I gulped. Not, not ever.

"At this time?" I asked, looking around. Wondering how would he finish so soon.

"Are you saying no?" he asked, and I gulped looking into his eyes. What the hell came into him all of a sudden?

He slept after saying a hundred sorries and suddenly he was all not so sorry.

"Abhi, Agastya and Pitaji will be back. Leave me," I tried to say while pushing him away. He was strong, I could not even move him an inch away.

And, to make me even more he brought his face closer. I slowly pulled back.

"You look beautiful," he said, and I tried to push him away.

"And, you look like an idiot," My tongue slipped, and he lowered his gaze.

Oh, I hurt him again.

"Why so rude?" he asked, and I looked away for a moment. Was I rude?

"I am trying, Trisha, to love you," he said, all of a sudden and I immediately looked at him.

He was trying.

So, he was not trying to make me uncomfortable.

I should behave calmly with him. He was younger than me. The way all of it was new for me, it was new for him too. And, unlike me, he was at least trying.

So, I stepped closer to him, cupped his cheek and lifting myself a little up, pecked his lip.

"This is not the time, Abhi, get ready," I muttered a slight and weak smile appeared on his lips.

"So, it's not a no, right?" he asked, I heard the slight noise from outside and immediately opened the door to leave.

As I walked out, my sight fell on Agastya and Pitaji walking and they both lifted their gaze to look at me too. I stood scared. My eyes enlarged, my breath stopped and my fingers fisted.

They knew.

Oh no!

Not, my father.

And, to make it even awkward Yuvraj came out and I felt him wrapping his hand around me. "I know it's not no," he muttered in my ear and suddenly he pecked my cheek.

"IIIIIIIIIloooovvvvvvvvaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhh Guruji!!!!!!!," he screamed and I quickly turned and pushed him away.

"What are you doing?" I said, and looked at him falling back with a loud thud.

Everything god messed up.

"Oh, Abhinandan!" I heard Agastya scream too as he ran towards us.

I immediately palmed my mouth.

"I am sorry," I said and my fingers shook.

What the hell was happening?

"I am sorry, I am sorry," I said, watching him sit up while caressing his head.

"That was bad," he said, and I looked at Agastya helping him.

"It's okay, hahaha, get up," he laughed and I turned around to look at my father just standing there all shocked and he looked away.

I immediately closed my eyes.

What the hell did he do?

"Argh," I heard Yuvraj groan in pain and standing up.

"I am okay," he said, and I wanted to run away. I wanted to die.

I did not want my father to see us like this. Not him half naked, and not me like this.

Urghhhhh!

"I sh..." I cleared my throat. "I should serve the lunch," I said and looked away from them. Agastya came out and I found him changed into a fresh pair of clothes. Yuvraj closed the door from inside and meanwhile, I poured the food to my father and Agastya.

And, to make it less awkward for me, Agastya came to me and took his and Pitaji's plates with him to the cot.

"Such a good day, Guruji, no?" he said with a small laugh.

"Indeed. The clouds are good," my father replied and I looked up to notice such a bright sunlight. There was not a single cloud.

It was so much awkward. But, the wind suddenly changed as Yuvraj opened the door and stepped out in black attire. He looked at me for a moment while rolling his sleeves up and I looked away.

Okay. He was looking good.

"Hahaha, such a nice day," he said, awkwardly pushing his hair back and I noticed him stepping down the stairs, and walking towards them.

"I am also hungry, Trisha," he said without looking at me. And, whatever he did not just made me skip my heartbeats. He called me by my name in front of my father. He also lifted his gaze to look at him for a moment.

But, instead of saying anything, he just pulled the other cot closer to theirs and smiled.

"So?" he said to them, sitting there and I silently poured his lunch and took it to him.

"How are your classes going? Guruji," he asked, smiling a little I silently placed the plate on the cot before him and he suddenly looked up at me.

"Aap nahi khaengi?"

"You will not eat?" he asked, and I gulped with nervousness and looked at my father staring at both of us with a straight, unmoved face.

"Hum, baad me kha lenge, aap sab khaenge, hehe,"

"I will eat later, you should eat, hehe," I managed to say and he knit his brows.

"Saath me kha lijiye, jagah to hai,"

"Eat with us, there is space too," he said, referring to the other vacant side of the cot and I looked at my father.

"Daamad ji itna keh rahe hai to kha lo, Trisha. Baar baar kyu bulvati ho,"

"If son-in-law is saying so then eat with us, Trisha. Why are you making him repeat?" he asked, and I glared at Yuvraj.

Could not he keep his husbandism to himself for another day?

"Ji, Ji, Pitaji," I said and looked at him before turning back to bring my plate.
