Frames
Lightning struck my soul
When I thought of words
Not said, news not shared
An intercom spoke
Don't let that depression
Stop you from doing the things
You always wanted to do
Photo frames hanging on the wall
Of things I wanted, things I dreamt
But didn't happen
Life's too short, it was too late
The walls shrink
The frames are far far far away
Farther until the wall with the frames of dreams
Is just a tiny pixel on the TV screen
That turns off
I become aware
Eyes behind my own body
I'm just standing there
Staring at a black screen
The intercom speaks
Find solace in the fact
The frames are fragments of truth
Moments inspired by memories
Dreams inspired by connections
It happened, it was real
The only thing that clutches my heart
Is the constraint of time
Because I was not able to create more of these moments
And to stretch time infinitely adoring you
