*5 weeks later*

*Emma's POV*

It was 3:14, and we had one minute until we got out of school for summer break. In one minute, Peyton, Carter and I would be considered seniors, Mia and Ethan would be considered juniors, Evelyn would be considered a sophomore, and Jackson, Asher, and Mason would be considered freshman of college. I, along with everyone else, watched the clock as it ticked and ticked and ticked. It hit 3:14:50, and I counted down in my head: "10, 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1, SUMMER!!!" Everyone jumped out of their seats, and ran to their lockers. I got my backpack and emptied out whatever I had left in my locker, grabbed my phone, and ran out to the car where Peyton and Carter were already waiting.

"I can't believe it's summer! I've been waiting for this all year..." Carter said.

"Who hasn't been?" Peyton asked.

"No one!" I said, and got into the car.

"Hey Em!" Peyton greeted me, "I didn't know you were there!"

I laughed, and before Peyton drove us home, Mason came over, as well as Ethan. Mia then came over to us too. She was dating Carter. I saw Mason kiss Peyton and say, "it's summer now.. And I'm going to college soon.. But don't worry babe, I'll be seeing enough of you before I leave"

He finished, and Peyton giggled. Ethan then said to me, "so.. You're finally a senior?"

"Yep!" I said, "and you're finally a junior!"

"Yeah" he said, then I heard his friend call him over, "sorry babe, gotta go, but I'll see you soon, okay?"

"Okay" I smiled.

Carter said to Mia, "I know how I can make your summer one hundred percent perfect..."

"And how is that?" She wondered.

"I think you should know" he said, and Mia giggled.

"Mia!!!" Evelyn called.

"Okay, Carter, I have to get on the bus with Eve.. See you later"

"Bye Mia" he said and kissed her, then she ran off to the bus.

"Okay. Let's go!" I said, sitting in the back seat while Peyton was in the driver's seat and Carter was in the passenger's seat.

Peyton drove off, and I still couldn't believe that it was finally summer..

Later that afternoon, at about 4:30, Peyton and I left for cheerleading. It wasn't even football season, but they was no reason not to practice. We practiced at the school for an hour until five thirty, and then all of the girls drove to our house. We were having a sleepover for the beginning of summer.

All of the girls walked into the house, and dad said, "What is going on here?!?!!!"

"We invited the team over, don't you remember?" Peyton said.

"Uh, no!!" He said.

"Well, we asked you and you said yes, so here they are. But don't worry, they'll be in our room most of the time, okay?"

"That's fine, girls" Mum stepped into the conversation for a minute. We walked up into our bedroom and started talking with Zoe, Mia, Evelyn, Yazmeen, Stacy, Lilli, Samantha, and Sophia. They were our best friends. This was going to be an amazing night!
