after closing up, marjáni took the bag that held her cheese burger and walked the lonely streets.

"mars!"

marjáni turned around at the mention of her name. she saw jungkook running towards her. jungkook finally caught up to her and put his hands on his knees, out of breath.

"y-you...walk so fa...fast," jungkook tried to say through hurried breaths.

marjáni looked behind him and saw that they were only a couple feet away from the restaurant. she rose an eyebrow at him and his cheeks got red. "i-i don't exercise."

she chuckled and waited for jungkook to say something. but all he did was stuff his hands into his pockets and stare at the ground.

"kookie?" she asked.

he looked up at her and hesitated to say his next words, "um. well...i was wondering if we could go somewhere together sometime. a-as friends, of course! i think you are really nice a-and i'd like to get to know you more, and-"

"sure," she chuckled.

jungkook sighed a sigh of relief, and then proceeded to look back at the ground, hands in pockets.

marjáni smiled and took jungkook's trembling hands, making him look up. she took a pen from her bag and wrote her number on his hand.

jungkook just stared at her as if he couldn't believe what was happening.

"let's go out for something other than a triple cheese burger, huh?"
