A Surprise Party (Frerard)

Gerard Way is a man of many talents. He was an amazing artist, a beautiful singer, the perfect husband and above all,

He knew how to keep a secret.

"Babe, we have to get ready!" Gerard heard Frank call from upstairs. He groaned softly to himself.

"I'll be up in a little bit!" He yelled back. He sighed and turned his attention back to what he was doing. A grin pulled his lip up.

"We're gonna have to play later." The man in front of him let out a soft whimper against the duck tape over his mouth. "Wanna have fun, Teddy?"

The man flinch as Gerard ran his hand down his tear soaked cheek. Teddy pulled at his restraints connected to his seat. Gerard slowly pulled the tape off from his mouth earning a grunt.

"Gerard, please. Let me go," he cried. Gerard chuckled softly. "Please, this isn't you."

"Au contraire, Teddy. This is very much me." Gerard moved over to a table, his back facing the restrained man. "This is merely a side of me that only those I pick get to see. You, Teddy, have been chosen to see this side." Gerard's hand ran over the handles of his various knives resting on the table top.

"By why me? I don't understand." Gerard chuckled as grasped one of the knives.

"Simple. We've known each other for years. It was easy to get you here." He turned, displaying the sharp weapon in his hand and a smile on his face. "To be with me. You just trusted the wrong guy, Ted."

"How many others have there been," Teddy's eye held on the knife as his captor stalked toward him. "How many before me?"

"Oh many wonderful men," Gerard sighed, waving the object in his hand as he reminisced. "I miss them sometimes, but then I get a new one and move on."

"What are you gonna do to me then?" Gerard crouched over in front of Teddy so they were face to face. He dragged the end of the blade over Teddy's cheek, cutting the skin enough to produce a small line of blood.

"I told you we were going to have fun." Ted hissed at the pain and tilted his head away from the blade.

"How can you do this to people? Does Frank know what you do?" Gerard's smile was immediately replaced with a frown. He pressed the end of his knife against the side of Teddy's neck.

"Don't you dare bring my Frankie into this?" Teddy's breath was fast. Each inhale caused the tip of the knife to pressed a bit harder into his side giving little pinches of pain.

"He doesn't know does he? Imagine what he would think. I'm sure he'd be disgusted."

"Shut up." Gerard plunged the blade into his side. Teddy let out a pained scream that echoed against the concrete walls. His body clenched around the knife. His breathing was more labored as crimson liquid bled through his shirt. His eyes were squeezed shut as he focused on trying to even his breath.

"What's wrong Gerard? Afraid that you'll lose your precious husband if he knew the truth about you? That you're a monster," He spat through clenched teeth.

"I said shut up!" Gerard yanked out the knife and stabbed it into Teddy's chest twice before shoving it into his throat. His own breath was quick from adrenaline, his hands now blood red. His knuckles were white from gripping the handle too tightly.

He sighed and moved away, looking down at the lifeless body occupying the chair. He grunted in frustration and tore the knife out of Teddy's throat, hearing a small crack in the process.

"God dammit." He carried the knife over to his table, throwing it amongst the others, spreading the blood. "Now I gotta find another new one." He ran a hand through his hair. When he felt liquid moving over his head, he pulled his hand in front of him to see it dripping blood. Looked down at his clothes, he was happy to see that most of the blood was just on his arms and on his shirt.

He let out another frustrated sigh and moved to the door leading out his room and into the main room of the basement. When he swung it open, he froze when he saw his lover standing at the other end of the room.

Frank's eyes were wide when he saw the red decorating his husband's front. His mouth was hung open while his body shook in shock.

"Frankie," Gerard started gently. Frank shook his head and moved to run up the stairs leading away from Gerard's personal room. Gerard caught him quickly. Frank was weakly fighting Gerard's hold. "Frankie, listen to me."

"Gerard," his voice was panicked. He didn't dare look at Gerard's face.

"Let me explain, baby." He could practically hear Frank's heart beating out of his chest.

"W-what did you do? I-I heard scream-ming a-a-and I."

"Shh. Everything's okay." Gerard managed to hold Frank's head against his chest. Frank gripped the front of his shift grimacing at the wet feeling under his finger tips. Tears streamed out of his now closed eyes.

"What did you do?" He whispered.

"It's okay. Let's get ready, okay?" Frank looked up at Gerard. The man brushed away his tears, leaving a streak of blood across his cheek. "We're not gonna talk about this right now. I'll explain everything later."

Frank's eyes moved to the room that Gerard requested he never go in when they first bought the house. He hiccuped with new tears falling. He wanted answers now. Why? How many people? Was he in dangerous now that he knew?

"You can't do it again," Frank whispered. "Please." Gerard frowned causing Frank to flinch. He feared for his life, hoping that it didn't end by his lover's hands. Gerard's features softened when he saw the terror on Frank's face. The man had nothing to worry about. Frank was his whole world. He wouldn't dare touch him in the way he had those other men.

"I can't stop, but I can promise you that you have nothing to be afraid of baby." He kissed Frank's forehead and led them back upstairs. "Now we have to get ready. We planned a birthday dinner for me, remember?"

Frank nodded, letting himself be taken to their room. The couple got ready in silence. Frank tried to stay relaxed anytime Gerard made contact with him. They threw his blood clothes in a bag and hid it away.

Soon, they were in the car, headed to the restaurant. Gerard kept his hand on Frank's knee, squeezing it every now and again. They eventually parked outside the restuarant. Gerard walked in with his hand in Frank's.

"Reservation for Way." The hostess nodded and led them passed all the occupies tables. Gerard gave Frank a curious look when they beginning to be led to a room near the back.

When the hostess pushed open the door, Gerard was met with a room full of his and Frank's friends. There was a cake and presents on a table along the wall. The room was decorated with balloons, a birthday banner and streamers.

"Happy Birthday!" The group shouted in unison, some blew on little toy horns. Gerard smiled down at Frank who gave a guilty smile. He could still sense the shorter man's uneasiness.

"A surprise party," Gerard whispered as he gave Frank a kiss. "For me?" He scanned the room, eyes moving over familiar faces before landing on one that was fairly new.

It was a younger boy who had just started at his work. His was pretty tall, short brown hair with matching colored eyes, lanky and...

Perfect

His smile widened. He'd forgotten the boy's name, but he know him well by the end of the night. He was sure of it.

"You shouldn't have."
