Chapter 1
"Thank you for choosing Triport. If you are here to seek a better future in Heavenly or are returning to it. Then we wish you the best of luck in your future endeavours. However, if you are a member of the following outcast groups. Silver Moons, Dragon claws, Bolters or Fangs. Then please wait for security to escort you away from this station. On the train, Please enjoy the drinks and snacks provided as you are welcomed to your new future in Heavenly." The image of a woman on a copper made tv bows respectively before disappearing after her announcement. People began boarding a steam train. Most people boarding the train were wearing jewelry like priceless necklaces, earrings and rings.
"Are you excited hon?" A woman asked.
"Yes mummy!" A little girl said jumping in the air. Her little fox tail swaying back and forth.
The train carriage was filled up. The door closed and the train rotated opening up another carriage for more people to board. The little girl and her mother entered.
As they approach their seats, the little girl bumps into a man wearing a silver prosthetic arm. He looks down at the child and smiles "Apologies little one." He smiles down at her as she hides behind her mother's leg.
"Sorry Sir, she gets nervous around new people."
He nods "Understandable, smart too. Can't be too careful around strangers," he says as he rubs his metal arm "I know that all too well." He waved goodbye and takes his seat.
A rhythmic tune comes from the intercom catching everyone's attention.
"Final boarding call for passengers travelling to: Heavenly." An automated feminine voice calls out on the intercom. Everyone sits down in their seats. The prosthetic armed stranger puts on some black sunglasses. His smile fades slowly as the door to the train closes. He pushes a black hard to see button on his prosthetic arm as small holographic keyboard appears on it. He types a few keys in as the inside of his shades light up and scan the carriage.
He smirks and scans the other carriages. As he does this a message pops up in the top left corner of his glasses saying "What are we looking at?"
The stranger types on the keyboard on his arm "A lot of fakes and silver. Gold Karat's range between 15 to 21 for the legit ones though."
He noticed a red field appear at the other end of the carriage and took his glasses off, putting them in a red case and turned off the holographic keyboard. The field goes over him, he watches it as it does a second sweep before turning blue and disappearing. The stranger turns the holographic keyboard back on and puts his glasses back on. He see's a message "Keep an eye out for the Ray. When it gets close, set off the EMP. That should stop anyone from making any unnecessary calls to any authority's. I trust you'll be able to stop the train. We'll have the other EMP charge in case we need more time if someone decides to play hero.."
The stranger types on the keyboard sending one last message before he turns the keyboard off "For the Silver Moons."
The train takes off after everyone gets on. As the ride progresses, people start talking among themselves trying to make conversation. They talked about what they did on their days off, or how exciting they think their new lives are going to be. A lot discussed about the recent events about how villages have been ransacked and burnt down all across the land. Mostly blamed the bandit groups. As any normal person would. Only safe place is Heavenly or the other cities in Retribution, the name of the land and only continent on the world.
In the locomotive end of the train. The conductor was seated with his radio playing some classical music as he watched the scenery from the window. Two guards dressed in white body armour, blue pants and an orange helmet with a blue visor, walk around checking everyone's tickets. They eventually come across the stranger and stand next to him.
"Sir? Your ticket please." The male guard asks politely while his female partner stands behind him. The stranger pulls out a ticket out of his pocket and hands it to them. They take it and look at it before handing it back to him. "I'm sorry sir, but can you please step up to the front with us.
The stranger nods and leaves the red case on the seat before following the guards.
He gets to the end and the two guards stop him. "Sir, the reason we've pulled you aside is because your ticket came up as invalid."
The stranger looks down and crosses his arms "Is that so?" He asks, acting surprised. 'Goddamnit Olivia.' He thinks as the guards step closer with cuffs. "Those won't be necessary, right?"
The female guard holding the cuffs gets behind him "Apologies sir. This is only temporary until the train gets to Heavenly."
The stranger sighs and walks to a window with his back turned towards the guards. He puts his hands behind his back as the female cop cuffs him and goes to retrieve his red case. The guard searches him and looks at the stranger "Do you have any ID?" The male guard asks.
The stranger sees an air craft approaching off the side and smirks. He sees the female guard approach with his red case and turns to face the male guard "Yes. I left it in my case there." He says.
The guard looks at the red case and then back at the stranger "How do we open it?" He asks.
"Ask it nicely." He joked. Seeing how unamused the guards were. He sighs and tells them the truth "White button on the side."
The male guard pushes the button and the case opens up but instead of any paperwork showing the identity of the man. A giant metal ball and a pair of sunglasses falls out. The ball had a button on the top which the stranger steps on and smiles as he looks at the guards.
"What the hell is that?!" The male guard asks as he and his partner raise their hands and aim at him with their wrist mounted miniature crossbows.
The stranger raises his hands showing he already took off the cuffs. "Lights out." He says before the EMP goes off. A commotion starts as the stranger punches the male guard in the face, knocking him out then stuffs the female guard into the bathroom before slapping the cuffs on the handle then on the unconscious guard.
"Hey! Open this door now!" The female guard commanded. The stranger walks over to the case and rummages through it until he finds a pistol and a few magazines for it. He then grabs his glasses and puts them on as a text comes up in the display.

The stranger clicks his tongue and unloads the clip then loads it in again.
Smart bullets status.........recalibrating...........100% calibration.
User profile........Joshua Silver.
The stranger now identified as Joshua, covers his face with a white bandana and goes back to his cart and fires a few rounds in the floor causing the passengers to yelp and scream in terror. "Alright people, you know what that sound means. This is a classic train heist. Cooperate and you'll survive with your dignity intact." He stares as he kicks the red case into the middle of the cart. "Fill 'er up." He demands.
On the other cart. Two more guards hear the commotion and head towards the cart. One unsheathes a shock baton from their hip as another loads a bolt into their wrist mounted crossbow.
Another guard calms the passengers down and reaches for their radio.
"Ghost one! We have a hijacker!" She says into the radio. Nothing but static comes through from the other end.
"Ghost one! Do you copy?" Nothing again.
On the other end, a brunette wearing a black cloak, green singlet and brown ripped jeans with a leather belt was holding a sword to the conductor's neck while standing over the guard's body who she had decapitated.
"Stop the train." She demands as the conductors looks scared for his life.
"Please. You don't have to do this." He pleads.
The woman sighs "I know...but it is so much fun." She knocks out the conductor and pulls the break to stop the train.
Joshua almost goes flying back but manages to grab onto a handle bar and steadies himself. He takes a deep breath and messages his partner.
'Olivia! A little warning next time!' He angrily types.
Olivia chuckles and messages back on her silver prosthetic right arm 'Sorry little brother.' She notices the train approaching a mountain tunnel and heads back the the cart.
The three guards notice her and raise their weapons at her "Hands up!" The female guard kneeling down with the radio. Olivia grabs one of the passengers, a male dressed in formal wear and held her sword to his neck.
"Alternate option! You drop your weapons and you don't have to watch this poor guy bleed out and gasp for air." She brings the blade to the passengers neck and smirks. The guards look at each other before lowering their weapons and putting their hands up. Olivia handcuffs the guards to the seats and grabs out her purple case and opens it "All your valuables in the case. Now!" Olivia demands.
The passengers begin loading the case with their valuables. Joshua's cart did the same as the train finally goes through the tunnel to the other side of the mountain. The ray eventually reaches the train and hovers over the middle cart. Joshua looks up at the aircraft. The Ray was made out of some sort of white metal with a rounded edge and long thin wings sticking straight up out of the sides, the top had titanium made triangular pectoral fins, and two mandible like shaped metal parts sticking out in the front. The ship also had a wire like tail with a spike at the end of it which latches onto the train.
The pilot looks at the train and turns to the console and begins typing a message to Olivia and Joshua.
Ghoul:
Status?
Olivia:
Loot's being loaded as we speak.
Joshua:
Guards have been dealt with. Olivia my ticket didn't register correctly in their system. You're getting sloppy sis.
Olivia:
Piss off bro. Tickets are hard to fabricate. Especially the ones that take you to Heavenly.
Ghoul:
Just get the jewellery and get up here to the Ray.
Joshua and Olivia watch people load up the cases. As Joshua watches his cart nearly finish, he hears something make loud thuds on top of his cart which causes the passengers to look at the roof and Joshua to raise a brow.
Joshua:
Ghoul, something just landed on my cart."
Joshua sends a message to the pilot known as Ghoul. Ghoul sighs as he leans forward and squints at the end cart. His eyes go from shock to confusion as he types in the ships console again.
Ghoul:
Umm...don't mean to alarm you Joshua but you've got company.
Joshua's eyes widen as he looks up and keeps his finger next to the trigger.
Olivia:
How many?
Ghoul squints again and sends another message.
Ghoul:
Looks like....three boys?
Ghoul looks at the boys on top of the cart. One wore a grey zip up hoodie with black tack suit pants and a blue shirt underneath with burning man goggles on his head and wearing black shoes with white laces.
Another with a red jacket and green cargo pants and black shoes with red laces.
The final one was wearing a black zip up hoodie with an orange shirt underneath and blue jeans with two chains coming out of each pocket. He wore black boots with grey laces.
Joshua growls and types furiously.
Joshua:
Did you bring the cog bots?
Ghoul:
Yeah but, we don't know if they'll stay together! They're basically hand me downs. Not to mention the model number dating back to the first revolution.
Joshua: Just do it! I don't care I just want these boys gone!
Ghoul sighs and makes his way to the back of the ship. He grabs a full can of fuel and begins feeding the bots the fuel and opens the door. He then goes back to the controls and lowers the Ray. Go go go!" Ghoul shouts as the cog bots activate, shaking almost uncontrollably as they walk towards the door and jump out of the Ray and onto the train. Of course to Ghoul's dismay. Some of them fell apart instantly as they landed.
The ones that didn't, some immediately got into a fighting position while others sprouted metal claws from their finger tips.
The three boys looked at the bots and stand up.
"Yeah....Ike. They're definitely not maintenance." The youngest boy said to the taller blonde boy.

Fun fact. This has been sitting in my draft for two years. I wanted to finish the first chapter but would always get writers block on how to start it off. Well...thank god that writers block is finally gone. As a matter of fact it might be gone for a while as ideas have sprouted on how to continue each book I am currently working on.
Hope you liked this book. Expect more chapters to come soon.
Until next time :)
