Tails!... Tails, you awake?... Tails?!...

"Tails!" Said a young kitsune over the shadows. "Tails, this is the fourth time we're gonna arrive late to something!" Trinity Inue said, Now girlfriend of a lucky fox.

"TAILS!" "Whoa!" Said Tails as he
falled from the bed... "Tails! Finally! I was starting to worry!" Trinity said, hugging the fox "Oh... Hey Trinity... Good morning..." Said Tails as he scratched his head. Tails and Trinity had been a couple for almost 2 years already. They have been doing almost everything together. Work, eat, movies, go to parties, that type of things. But now something had Tails worried. Valentine's day. The last Valentines day's they had, either Eggman attacked, or something went wrong.

Now Trinity was expecting an incredible present from Tails this day. And everything was going great, until Tails started to be really weird. Sonic and Amy were having a party of Valentine's day. The idea was for everybody went. Specially Tails and Trinity. But Tails refused to go. He had been days inside his workshop, working alone. Which was weird now that Tails and Trinity lived together now. Victoria, Trinity's mother had approved now for them to live together, in the condition that Tails will take care of Trinity incredibly good.

But no matter how much did Trinity or anyone else wanted to enter and help Tails. He just refused at all costs. He said it was none of their business, and that they'll have to wait. Then he slammed the door shut to everyone but Trinity. When she wanted to go, Tails said that she couldn't enter, that it was dangerous or another thing that make Trinity go away, but this made her very nervous. "Trinity... I already told you I'm not going... I need to work, and I can't take a rest for that long..." Tails was now talking seriously. "Tails..." "Look..." Tails cut off. "You don't know how much would I love to go... But I really can't go..." Trinity's eyes started to fill with tears, but she managed to stop them before Tails could notice them. "Then?" Trinity said but, no answer. "Then what Tails? Won't we celebrate?! Won't we be this day together?!" Trinity shouted. Tails stayed calmed and quiet. He got up and grabbed a white coat. "Miles Prower!" Trinity shouted. "Don't dare to go just like that!" She was now angry alright. Tails wasn't like this. She couldn't hold it. Tears started to hit the floor. "Please!... You're not like this... You can work another da-" "No Trinity! I can't!" Tails said now facing Trinity. Trinity's eyes flooded with tears... Tears of sadness... Tears that created Tails... And he knew that... But it just was now when it started to affect him...

"Trinity..." Tails got closer to Trinity. "I'm sorry... I really am..." Tails hand approached to Trinity's cheek. "But you got to understand I need to do this..." Trinity looked to Tails. Her eyes were filled with anger and sadness. "Go on!" She finally said. "It doesn't matter to me anymore, Tails! Go on and do whatever you do with your little machines!" Tails reminded quietly surprised. "But don't expect me to give you any kiss or gift or anything to you for Valentines!" Tails caught what was bothering Trinity all this time with that words. "Is that all about?" Tails said. Trinity expression didn't change. "Is this all about a gift?" Trinity didn't want to accept it, but it was true. She wanted so bad that little gift of Tails, that little reminder of the love he felted for her, that she didn't thought about anything else. "Hey, listen..." Tails said with a smile on his face. "I promise you I'll give you the best gift in the world, but in change you need to do something for me..." Trinity raised her faces and faced Tails once again. "Go to the party, and have fun, ok?" "It won't be any fun without you..." Trinity responded. "I know you'll find a way... And I also promise you that I'll work as fast as I can and I'll see you in the party at midnight..." Trinity looked at his eyes and he did. Then she smiled. "Promise?" She asked. "Promise" Tails answered. They locked up in a hug, and after a small kiss on the cheek, Tails left to his workshop again.

Time passed, and the party started. Time went slowly for Trinity, as she waited for Tails. Time passed and no sign of him was seen, She looked at her clock. "11:45, and no sign of him..." Trinity said. Music as loud as the ears could handle was on, Trinity was in the balcony, waiting for the promise Tails made her. "Trinity!" Trinity turned inside the house, thinking it was Tails. "Tails! Oh... Hi Amy..." "Hey Trinity? What's up? You look kind of down..." "Thanks..." Said Trinity annoyed about the comment. "Sorry, just being honest..." Trinity sighted again. "Come on Trinity! Its Valentines! Dance a bit!" "Nah... I just want to be here a little-" Trinity couldn't finish her sentence, something happened. A bright light was coming toward them, full speed ahead. "A missile?!" Trinity asked. "No way I could tell! Its way to bright!" Said Amy, covering her eyes. Trinity covered her eyes, and prepared for something. The light got brighter and brighter until she felt something weird.

A fierce wind pushed her back, and the light was brighter than ever. She took some steps back, but the floor ended, as she tripped and lost a shoe. "What the?" She looked down, and she didn't liked what she saw. "WHAAAA!" She screamed. The whole city was below her. All the lights and the buildings could be seen. She now looked at what she was standing on. Metal, Red metal. "The Tornado?"She said confused. "But how-?" "-12 O'clock. Just in time." Someone cut off. "Who?"

Trinity tried to look around her, but the light was way more bright that all. She managed to open her eyes and she encountered a black figure. A figure of a fox, a two-tailed fox. "Tails!" Trinity said with joy. "Hey Trinity!" Tails said as he helped her up. "Sorry for the delay, but I needed to figure a way to make the Tornado a safe place for you to be! Even when flying!" Trinity embraced Tails and looked at him. "So in this is in what you where working all this time?" Tails nodded. "Sorry, but it was one of the surprise." Trinity got confused. "One?" Tails nodded again "Yes, the other one is right here." Tails handed Trinity an object as bright as the sun, it had a white, yellowish color. And felted freezing cold and burning hot at the same time. "What's this?" Trinity asked. Tails smiled. And kissed Trinity. "Happy Valentines, my star..." Trinity looked at the object, the object was no other than a real life star, that Tails had prepared, along with the other things. So Trinity could have them. Trinity flooded in tears once more... Happy tears. "Thank you... Thank you very much... I loved it..." Tails smiled. "This is for all the other Valentines I couldn't spend with you..."
They stayed in the Tornado for hours. Gazing at the stars. And to their very own one.

"Best Valentine of my life..." Trinity said as Tails smiled at her. "Same here..."
