BREAKDOWN
Arjun was going towards his room when he was stopped by the Kauravas.
"Where are you going Arjun ?" Duryodhan asked.
"Leave me alone Bhrata." Arjun said.
"Not today. It's your birthday, let's celebrate." Duryodhan said.
"I want to be alone." Arjun said.
"Is it his birthday or is it Maharaj Pandu's death anniversary ?" Dushashan asked.
"Both." Duryodhan laughed.
Arjun tried to walk away from the other side but was stopped by Dushashan.
"Don't leave so soon Bhrata." He said.
"Leave me alone please." Arjun said.
On the other side Trigun were preparing special meal for today when Tamasvini realised there is a mind that is getting extremely depressed. She went outside where that energy led her.
There she saw that the depressed energy was coming from Arjun as Kauravas kept cussing him out.
"What should we gift you Bhrata ?" Dushashan asked.
"He got his gift on his 14th birthday." Duryodhan said.
"Just for today leave me alone..." Arjun said.
"Arya !" Tamasvini called coming towards him. Arjun looked at her.
"I want to talk with you, alone." Tamasvini said glaring at Kauravas.
Arjun smiled at her hopefully, finally he will be away from this mess. Tamasvini held his hand and walked towards their room. Reaching there she locked the door.
"Foolish shameless folks they are, why didn't you say anything to them ?" She asked.
"I don't want any drama today." He said lowering his gaze.
Tamasvini shook her head as smile appeared on Arjun's face.
"Thank you." He said.
"What ?" She frowned.
"Thank you for keeping my word and perfectly doing the pooja." Arjun said. She smiled.
"It's nothing." Tamasvini said sitting on the bed.
Arjun came and knelt down in front of her holding her hand.
"It's not nothing. It means a lot. You came out of your comfort zone for me, it means a lot Tamasvini." He said with teared eyes.

"I came out of my comfort zone, but when will you ?" She asked.
"What do you mean ?" He asked.
"I have been observing you the entire day. It's your birthday yet you are so sad. I understand it's because you lost you father. The Kauravas are cussing you out yet you are enduring." Tamasvini said.
"What more can I do ?" He asked.
"Let it out." She said.
"But I have to stay strong." He said tears blurring his eyes.
"You have been strong for far too long. Let it out. Let the tears fall that you have been holding back for so long, show the grief that you have been hiding for years." She said.
"I can't." Arjun said in breaking voice, tears were about to come out of his eyes but he resisted.
"Don't you trust me ?" She asked.
Arjun looked at her and then broke down in tears, not able to resist anymore.

She knew he will cry but she didn't expect him to hold her and sob. She didn't know what to do, so she just caressed her hand over him.
Although her touch was cold, it melted him even more, as he clutched her.

"I keep losing everything, Tamasvini. And my existence reminds me of it. I lost my father on my birthday, and I am reminded about it every year. If he and Mata Madri were alive our lives would have been way better, we were happy in the forest, away from the mess of this palace." He sobbed.
Seeing him sob like this, Tamasvini's heart ached for some reason. Well anyone's would seeing a strong warrior like him breaking apart because of life.
"It is the truth of life. You come alone, you die alone. It is grieving but it is the reality. But you make bonds in this life, some last longer than others yet in the end you will be alone." Tamasvini said. Arjun kept listening to her.
"Is nothing permanent ? Are we all destined to remain alone ?" Arjun asked.
"Not at all. Paramatma is there with you always, if one befriends him then life is a bliss, you'll never find yourself alone." She said.
He sat up straight and looked her confused.
"How can one befriend Parmatma ?" He asked.
"You already have." She smiled.
"I have ?" He asked.
"Yes." Tamasvini smiled.
Arjun wiped his tears and looked at her apologetically, while she looked at him sadly.
"I'm sorry if I worried you." Arjun said.
"Don't be. And I think we should leave for lunch." Tamasvini said.

A/N
"The loneliest people are the kindest. The saddest people smile the brightest. All because they do not wish to see anyone else suffer the way they do."
In Bori ce, the age of Pandavas is not mentioned but some southern texts have them. And according to them it is said that Pandu died on Arjun's 14th birthday.
And ever since I have been thinking that if it is true then just imagine how hard it would have been for Arjun....being reminded about it every year on your birthday as to how he lost his father.
Arjun is said to be the most humourous Pandav but also the saddest. And maybe now I understand a little as to why he was. Dude's entire life seems to be cursed with tragedies yet he always kept smiling.
Never got to see his sons grow up, lost them in war, never got the full love of his wives due to exiles, always conspired against by his own cousins.
Sometimes I think the only good thing in his life was Krishna, and after reading about their friendship in detail I can say it was the only thing that might have kept Arjun sane and stable in his life filled with hardships.
IF YOU AGREE THEN MERE SAATH PREM SE BOLIYE, VISHNU-JISHNU !
