Since they are on a volcano, their territory is very barren, with few herbs poking up every now and then, Stoneteller picks as much as he/she can in Greenleaf and Newleaf, and then hopes that they can survive through Leaffall and Leafbare. The only thing they don't worry about in Leaffall and Leafbare, is hypothermia because of the natural heat of the volcano.
