introduction
Hello and welcome to Trials Of The Ivy Queen! This is an original novel/roleplay book.
HOW IT WORKS
You can enter up to three characters. The form will require a very detailed description of their personality; this is so I can write the character acting the way you want them to. If you were a part of Your Time Has Come, then you know exactly how this goes.
BACKSTORY AND RANKS
Before Ivy took over, there were four normal Clans. Now life is structured in a monarchy and Ivy is leading it. She has since banned the suffix of warrior names and changed the ranks completely. When addressing someone in the utmost respect, you would say "Silverhawk Ivy."
Silverhawks: Ivy, her family, and her most trusted advisors. Included ranks are: Empress, King, Heirs, Councilors, and Guards.
Whitefires: strong, useful, trusted cats. Included ranks are: Scouts, Medics, and Competitors.
Goldenbrooks: the largest group; these are not-yet-tested cats that could become a Whitefire or a Darkwhisper. Included ranks are: Fighters, Hunters, Workers, and Healers
Scarletroots: the cats that are unable to undergo the trials. Included ranks are: Kits, Queens, and Apprentices.
Darkwhispers: the weakest cats and the imprisoned rebels. Included ranks are: Sacrifices and Caveghosts.
Empress: Ivy. The female ruler of the kingdom. (1; me)
King: Ivy's mate. The male 'ruler' of the kingdom, but more of the second-in-command. (1)
Heirs: all of Ivy's descendants. Consists of two adult females, one adult male, and many many kits/apps of the three (5; 3 are me)
Councilors: Ivy's very trusted personnel; also the mothers/fathers of Ivy's grandkits. (3)
Guards: Ivy's most trusted fighters. They protect Ivy with their life and must consistently show their loyalty. (4)
Scouts: trusted hunters/fighters that have been promoted to watching over the Goldenbrooks. All they do is oversee and instruct Goldenbrooks on their day-to-day business. (3)
Medics: trusted medicinally skilled cats. They heal all the cats, as well as compete with the Goldenbrooks on their knowledge in the trials. (2)
Competitors: strong, trusted fighters, hunters, and workers. Their job is to compete with the Goldenbrooks in the trials. (2f) (2h) (2w)
Fighters: cats identified at being best in their fighting skill. They undergo trials against the fighting competitors. (8)
Hunters: cats identified at being best in their hunting skill. They undergo trials against the hunting competitors. (8)
Workers: cats unidentified at being best in any category, or are not good at any category. They undergo trials for stamina, speed, and strength against a working competitor. (3)
Healers: cats identified at being best in their healing skill. They undergo trials against the medics. (3)
Queens: cats that could possibly be considered weak, and are only living to produce strong cats. They could also be any of the above ranks that just got pregnant. (1)
Kits: kits. They stay kits for 4 moons, and then begin testing their area of specialty until 5 moons. They then become apprentices. (×)
Apprentices: apprentices. They train for 5 moons to try to get the best they can for their trials starting at their warrior ceremony. (2)
Sacrifices: the weak. These are cats that are about to be killed as sacrifices for the strong cats. (3)
Caveghosts: rebels. These are cats that have rebeled Ivy in any way. They are hidden away in a cave with very scarce amounts of food and water. (3)
THE FOUR CLANS
RidgeClan: located in the mountains, these cats are adept at balance, rock climbing, and jumping. Their old camp is made of tunnels and caves inside the mountain- near the cliffside. Legends say their ancestors caught hawks and eagles as prey and could jump 20-40 ft horizontally. This is now where the Silverhawks and Scarletroots live.
CreekClan: located in a wide, forested valley with a waterfall, these cats are adept at swimming, fishing, and rock climbing. Their old camp is in the back sheltered corner of the valley, with some dens in the rock face and some in the grass. Legends say their ancestors ate their prey from the top of the tallest trees and swam for hours every day. This is now where the Whitefires and Darkwhisper Caveghosts live.
BirchClan: located in a multi-species forest, these cats are adept at tree climbing, stealth, and tracking. Their old camp is a densely packed area of bramble dens and fallen trees. Legends say their ancestors could heal each other by simply grooming and ambush hunted during the pitch of night. This is now where most of the Goldenbrooks live.
DuskClan: located in a hilly region of beautiful meadows and grassland, these cats are adept at running, agility, and tracking. Their old camp is a tunnel into the ground with a few large caves. Legends say their ancestors chased after gazelles at high speeds and could be heard roaring five miles away. This is now where very few of the Goldenbrooks and the Darkwhisper Sacrifices live.
