20. REAPER
Let me be frank, I generally hate the Werewolf genre. I have never read past one chapter of the Werewolf books that I have been asked to review.
But I read four of yours!
This book was a perfect example of how to turn a book that belongs in a genre known for cliches into something dynamic, original, mysterious, and smart.
I loved how dark this book was. (Of course I love dark books. I mean, look at my favorite books and you will know) It had me completely hooked from the very first chapter, and I could barely tear myself away to write this review. The author has done and fantastic job, and I am very very happy with the results.
Excellent writing style, planning, and execution.
The only suggestion that I have is: don't rush the reveal of the entire story in just a few chapters. Let it play out so that there is a bit of suspense. The mystery revolving around what Ellette did was quite intriguing, and I think you should postpone the Alpha and Matilda telling the backstory for later.
Other than that, brilliantly done! I am still finding it hard to believe that I am so obsessed with a book that belongs to a genre I don't usually read. I am truly impressed by this book. :)
Final Rating: 9/10
