1. Valkyrie
The first chapter of this book opens beautifully. The descriptions are wonderful and the flow is quite great. I liked how something such as childbirth, which is supposed to be considered 'happy' and 'beautiful' has been shown as something so gruesome, which it is for most women.
The priest stabbing the father of the child was quite a pleasant and unexpected twist, yet I think the mother did not react to it with the intensity of despair and severity as a woman who lost her husband might, which was a bit unnatural (unless she had something to do with it).
I did move on to the second chapter which again had a good flow like the first one, yet it has way too many characters which causes the readers to become very confused, especially since you have such complicated, unusual names in your book. An introduction page with the characters' names might have been nice.
My conclusion is that overall, it was pretty intriguing, and with an exception of the things I have mentioned before and some awkwardly constructed sentences as well as mild grammatical errors, you have a pretty good book so far. Keep up the good work and keep improving. I am sure you will find success.
