SO HERE'S THE POEM a_ray_of_sunshine :) I HOPE YOU LIKE IT

She was young, age of seventeen
She could be exploring the beauty of the earth
But there, she stood, wishing she couldn't be seen
Insecure, afraid, thinks she's not his worth

She likes to look at him from across the room
Where she's alone, silent and unseen
She likes to see his smile full of bloom
It's electrifying, you know what she means

She likes to see and hear him laugh out loud
Such great music to her little listening ears
She likes to hear him sing to the crowd
His favorite performer for those couple of years

He's handsome, smart, and talented too
Every move and sound makes her cheeks blush
But I guess, with the story, you already had a clue
He's unreachable, he was only just a crush

So she stood there, wondering about life
He doesn't love her, she thinks for sure
He deserves to have a beautiful wife
She thinks she's nothing but plain, old and poor

But, little did she know, it was not like the movies
It wasn't unrequited, just the usual, being afraid
The guy she thought who had a perfect girl checklist
Had only one list, with her name, unfade

Just like her, he thought he was invisible
He thought she doesn't like guys like him
Crazy, loud, and loves to play football
And some may not believe, he doesn't know how to swim

The two were blinded by the wall of society
They both thought that they weren't enough
Both were afraid to accept the reality
That they love each other, and never will stop

But that one unexpected warm, sunny day
They both bumped with each other at the hall
They looked at each other, everything around became gray
Both felt like they've been hit by a cannonball

There was sparkle in their tingling eyes
Heartbeats pumping so loud on their chests
In their stomachs, both felt butterflies
Their world was frozen, they forgot the rest

His lips parted slowly that moment
It took all his guts to even move a bit
But he couldn't wait longer, he just couldn't
He held his breath and thought This is it

He opened his mouth, to finally tell her
She watched him closely with shock and surprise
"I liked you, I still do, and I will forever"
The words came out, both froze like ice

Suddenly, from her eyes, tears came pouring down
She almost gave up, she never thought she'd be a princess
Now, on her head, he had placed the crown
He asked her if he loved her, and of course she said yes

Now, this poem isn't one of your fairytale books
But tells and teaches you to go and take chances
Sometimes, we forget to go explore and look
Who knows, maybe there's a prince waiting for you to be his princess
