Chapter 7

Ana POV

Its a night before the first task . The entire school is excited and making bets about who will come first in the first task . I actually felt pretty insulted that they thought I would come last.

Okay sure i was tiny i was a bit on the weak side to buy papa made sure that i got training done on the list of things i needed to do.

I let out s sigh thinking that my life was peaceful and normal ....well normal for a seer ,then everything got heck tick . The worst part is tat i didn't even see my name come out of that stupid goblet .

Now look at me I'm going to compete in a competition which could kill me . My life is really messed up.
I keep walking toward the forbidden forest despite the cold weather. I stop at the edge of the forest and close my eyes .

I try to calm myself , empty my mind and think about myself . If i go into the forest where will i end up.

Then they hit me and my legs almost buckled of the sheer force. I saw myself walking all over the forest most of them ended with me dead but i continued looking until i found the vision i looking for .                       

There. Found it .

I opened my eyes which i was sure was still glowing  pink . They would still slowly be turning back to my normal green. I signed and slowly started to walk in the direction i saw me go in the vision.

After walking what felt like hours but could hardly be 20 minutes i came to a clearing which had Several dragons in cages. They were angry . I didn't need to be an expert on dragons to figure that they were angry . they were  blowing fire at everyone and everything in distance .

How was i supposed to get close to them if they kept on shooting fire at everyone who came close to them .

I let out a breath and made my way around the clearing ,being careful not to let anyone see me .

When i finally reached the side of the clearing were the dragons were i started to think of my options which weren't looking so good.

1. walk in their and get burned .
2 try to feed them and proberly get eaten myself.
3 . use magic .............which they will lash out towards .
4. wing it

my options weren't looking so good .

I closed my eyes and tried thinking of what the best outcome would be ....there I would actually be in shock if I didn't believe in my visions so much .I had to talk to the dragon ,a dragon which might roast my to death.

Mad sure to that the coast was clear before slowly walking towards the dragon. She wasn't shooting fire at me so I took it as a good sign  . As soon as I came in 10 feet of the cage When a vision hit and i had just enough time to duck before she let out a stream of scorching hot fire towards me .

I let out a relieved breath that I wasn't burn or injured and slowly stood up. I lifted my hands as a  ' come in peace ' gesture and stool a few steps forward. Just as she was about to open her mouth I stopped and bared my neck to her showing my submission ,trust me this dragon is lucky she gets to see this side of me .

Surprisingly she closed her mouth and watched warily as I approached her. I stood one directly in front of her cage now .  I just stood there . We were staring at each other no -one breaking eye contact .

I stretched at my hand towards her wanting to pet her but she growled at me and I immediately retracted my hand.

I took a deal breath and  lowered my eyes . I stretched out my hand once again my arm going through the bars of the cage and waited  .

........  I then felt I wet scaly snout against my hand and realised the breath I didn't know I was holding . I let out a slightly hysterical laugh and petted her.

I stood there petting her what felt like hours and just before I was about to leave I felt it .

I light push in brain like someone was trying to get in. I looked around but there wasn't anyone . I looked back at the dragon and saw she was watching me .

"Its you isn't it ." I asked a little astonished she could get into my head. She must really be powerful.

Then a deep but clearly female voice spoke from well...  . inside my head .It sounded like several people speaking at once .

"Yes it is I , we have much to discuss young hatchling but first you must explain to me why the other two legged have brought me and my kin here " her strong voice said well more like commanded but I speaking to a dragon which could eat me so I'm gonna let it slide.

"You we're brought here for a competition  its a silly game that play to see who is the strongest. " I said trying to explain it in the easiest way I know how to .

The dragon ....I really need a name for her  made a sound which sound like a hum . What she said next surprised me though .

"Well little hatchling I have a proposition  for you."

"I'm listening"
