" Good night Tom. " and before I could change my mind I stood on my toes and gave him a peck on the cheek before rushing into my chambers without looking back ,not seeing the adoring look he gave.

Chapter 18

Today was the second task and I was utterly exhausted. Who decided that having a ball before the task was a good idea. Idiots the lot of them. I stayed in bed as long as possibly not worrying about anything I knew I'd be in time for my task.

After all I just had to take a potion. It was an old potion forgotten by most people but some would still remember. My father didn't know he would of killed me knowing all the difficult ingredients I had to use would cost a fortune.

I rolled over in my bed, thinking of what Ben Potter would do. I felt a bit guilty, but I was in it to win it. My father could finally retire after I win he would be settled and maybe be able to spend more time with me. For a fact I know ow he does not teach for the children. He despises them.

I was dozing off again when a stupid house elf decided that I needed to get up. I forcefully dragged myself up out of bed. Knowing if I did not listen to the creature It would tell my father and I was not in the mood to be on the end of his cold stare for being lazy and irresponsible on the day of the task.

I got up and took a shower refreshing myself. I threw a bright green two piece on, the same colour as my eyes and put a t shirt and shorts on. Knowing I would have to take them off soon .

I did not go in search of my father knowing that he would soon be asked to go with the other victims. I threw a  heating and calming potion in my pocket and made my way to the hall. There was no classes today. It was almost lunch time though lots of student were still interested hall mingling.

I sat down at the Ravenclaw table with a girl called Luna. We had a weird sort of...... friendship. Luna's mother was a Seer and got a little of the gift was passed onto her, although she doesn't have it as bad as me but she's not all there so I guess I got the better end of the bargain. I looked around the hall as I ate a waffle covered in chocolate syrup and whipped cream. You can't blame a girl for being hungry.

I looked towards the head table and my gaze locked with royal blue eyes that was staring me, well not me rather a bright  green strap on my shoulder that was sticking out of my shoulder.

Pervert.

I caught his gaze and lifted a eyebrow. I got a amused grin back. He didn't even look ashamed .I made a show bringing my spoon up to my mouth and licking the chocolate syrup on it and wrapped my lips around the spoon. I pulled the spoon away from my mouth and licked my lips where the syrup had gone. I looked at the whole time and had to give a smug smile and wink when he shifted in his seat. Boys will be boys. I was very pleased to see that had a look of incredulous on his face.

My gaze was instantly down away from him and to Luna when she spoke .

" You two will make a lovely couple, it will make headlines. " she spoke inheritance dreamy voice.

There's no way.

" He is a Professor Luna. " I all but hissed.

" So? "

" So?  So?  He could loose his job Luna."

" Technically ,you are not a student and he is not your Professor, so there is nothing wrong beside you will have to stand by the Dark lords side when he needs you. I hope you don't drown. " and she walked away reading a book upsidedown .

She  had a point. I don't even know why I think about these things. There is still time...... scratch that I only have until the third task before it is know that Voldemort has returned with Grindewald.

" Ms Snape ,you need to make your way to the lake if you please. " McGonagall spoke and I looked up from the table I was staring at to see most of the students and Professors had already left and their were only a few left.

I got up and left the hall after giving McGonagall a smile and thank you. Unfortunately the walk to the lake was very short and I saw that their were stadiums placed at the edge of the lake for the students and guest.

I made my way toward the other champions and saw that Potter had on heavy desert gear, he glared at me as I approached them and stalked towards me.

" You bitch, you're a liar, y-you put false information in my head. "
I practically yelled and I could feel eyes on us from the people close by.

Time to act.

Eyes wide ,check

Scared expression, check

Look vulnerable, check

Stutter, check

Action.

" I i-m sorry I d-dont know w-what you're talking about. " I made my voice a small as possible and inched my way backwards slowly.

I was saved by a Charlie I think his name was, h e was the brother of Ron and was one of the Dragon handlers.

" Leave her alone Ben, can't you see she's already scared and you can't blame her for hour mistakes. " he scolded Potter but potter just gave a sneer and stomped over to Granger and Weasely - Ron was standing unsurprisingly standing with Dumbledore. Looks like he's going to get help.

Charlie turned to me. " You alright? "

"yes than-k y-you, you didn't have to do that. " I sniffed.

" No problem he's a git ,I have to go but maybe we'll chat later. " without waiting for a reply he ran off towards Hogwarts .

Well that was interesting.

A wizard came over and spoke to the champions.

" You have five minutes to dress before we start. " and walked away.

Rude

I really have to stop making comments in my head.

I looked around noticing several familiar people and assumed right when I didn't find my father.

He was going to pissed when I got him out of the water.

At least the water will cool him down.

I snorted. I had a horrible sense of humor.

I looked over at the other champions and saw they were already undressed. Potter had gotten his clothes transfigured and given gillyweed by Dumbledore he wore no shirt and he wasn't the fittest person, clearly he needs to lay of the sweets. Fluer had on a very revealing red two piece bather. I was not one to judge...... that much but it hardly covered her breast and her whole but was out. Apparently the boys loved it as they could not take their eyes off her, she loved the attention she was getting. Ewe. Victor was wearing a black shorts. I had to say was fit, he had a clear six pack and was very muscular. He could be a body builder if he wanted to.

I'm not ashamed to say that I was so busy checking out Victor I didn't notice a very annoying and familiar Professor come up behind me until he whispered in my ear, his breath hitting my neck making me shiver, and it was not out of disgust.

" You should get dressed before your time runs out. "

I whipped around my pink hair slapping me in the face and was met with the chest of Tom. I took a step back so I could see his face.

I grinned " Admit it, you just want to see me strip. "

" True. " my grin slipped off my face, not expecting that answer. I huffed and glanced around. I only had two minutes.

" It's your lucky day Tom. "

I took off my shirt and shorts placing them with my shoes and got an elastic band to tie up my hair. I turned around when done to see Tom sweeping his eyes up and down my body stopping in certain areas.

" Take a picture it would last longer. " I said annoyed I'm not a piece of meat.

" Slytherin green. " he stated amused.

" it went with my eyes, I don't care about your house. "I snapped.

He just chuckled sweeping his gaze over my body once more and leaving to go sit with the other Professors.

That's when I noticed most if the boys look at me, maybe I should of have put something less revealing on. Should of kept my shorts and shirt on instead. I hate all the eyes on me and did not have my father to tell them to look away or scold me for wearing it.

So it's my own fault.

I looked over and saw Fluer staring at me, a hateful stare directed at me but I couldn't care less. Probably angry not all of them are staring at her, I didn't ask them to star at me, their all yours.

" Champions please make your way to the starting line. " a voice boomed around us. I took a deep breath and drank the potion and got in position. There's no going back.

"Three. "

" Two."

" One. "

The gun shot went off.

And in the water we dived.
