Ema was so sad she ran back to Gran only to find that she wasn't at the house and door was locked.

"Gran? Grandpa?"she screamed.
She then noticed a not on the door that read:(Ema grandpa and I went shopping for things for you to decorate your room be back soon,love Gran.)

Ema walked around the back of the house to the old barn unaware that David was following her.

She climbed up the ladder leading to the loft and stayed there crying.

David followed closely behind Ema trying to say sorry for what his friends did.

When he saw her he thought he scare her and make her laugh.
He carefully cliamed up the loft ladder and hid behind some hay then jumped out.

"Boo!!!"he shouted.
"Ahhhh!!"Ema screamed.
"David what are you doing you scaried me,"Ema said going quite.

"I thought I could make you laugh,"he said puting on a sincere smile"look,sorry my friends are great but sometimes they,you know."

"Yeah well thanks but I don't think you understand,"Ema said beginning to walk away.

"Ema wait your right but the truth is my father disappeared and poeple say he's dead but I have my friends and Mom."he said.

Ema stopped and listened and could feel something in her heart she never felt before like magic and she liked it.
"But you have your grandparents and now me,"he finished smiling.

"Thank you,"she said hugging him out of happiness to have a friend.

As they were walking back to the house tripped on something.
"Are you ok?" David asked as he helped her up.

"Yeah but I tripoed on....."Ema looked to the spot where she fell and it was a hook for a door.

"Maybe it's a wine cellar,"David said.
"Gran and Grandpa don't drink wine and the rebuilt everything except this barn and they know the place back to front,"Ema explained.

"The lets cheak it out,"said David.
"Wait I'll ask Gran first then we come back, ok?"Ema replied.
