Chapter Two
Christine glanced around the small apartment, the twins where sleeping on the couch and Randy was asleep on the floor while watching TV. Now the women looked down at the one year old in her arms, her baby girl, Becca.
The hazel eyes seemed to taunt her as the small pink lips formed into a smile. Her teeth poked out, making it even more adorable and forcing Christine to smile as well. She had to get to work soon but couldn't afford to leave the children home alone. However, even though her boss loves the kids, she said that Christine wasn't allowed to bring them to work with her anymore.
She was tired and wanted to sleep, not go and clean hotel rooms for seven hours straight. With a sigh, she decided to call her boss, begging the women to allow her to bring her children because she couldn't find someone to babysit them.
It wasn't that she couldn't, Christine was just scared of what would happen if the babysitter saw the children turn into tiny wolf pups. So that option was a no go. Her boss agreed, and with that Christine prepared herself to wake up the three sleeping children.
She placed Becca down, allowing the small child to crawl and go over and play with toys, changing into a tiny wolf pup half way there. Christine rolled her eyes at the child and made her way over to Randy. The boy was laying there with drool hanging from his mouth, ears and tail twitching every so often. He tended to change halfway when he was sleeping, not being able to control much when he was only two years old.
The boy woke without much trouble, wiping his brown eyes tiredly. "Mommy?" He mumbled, sitting up as he yawned, his ears and tail disappearing wherever they went in his body. He blinked, staring up at the women standing over him.
Christine smiled, scooping Randy up in her arms, hugging the little boy tightly. "Mommy's right here, bud."
The little boy giggled, his whole face lit up with happiness. Christine set him down, watching him turn his attention back to the TV before she moved slowly over to her twin girls. Leah was cuddled into Dana's side, the other girl wrapping her small arm around her as protectively as she could.
Leah's eyes peeked open as soon as Christine reached their sides, grinning up at her mother. "Mommy!"
Leah pushed Dana away from her, ruining to little moment between them as she rushed up to grab her mom and hug her. It was a recent fetish the little girl had started picking up, as well as asking where their dad was.
Dana blinked from where she was currently sitting, in a very weird position from when leah pushed her away. The three year old didn't understand what happened and laid down, trying to go back to sleep. "Nighty, Nighty."
Leah pouted at her sister, not liking the response she got. This caused the girl to jump on top the other, Dana's eyes flying open as she turned into a tiny wolf pup, a high-pitched yelping sound coming from her.
Christine rushed foreward, pulling Leah off of Dana before she looked at the door, waiting for the knocking to start. It didn't happen and the women let out a sigh of relief, happy that the apartment manager hadn't come and bothered her with the no pet policy.
Christine wasn't actually breaking the rules. she had no pets. She had children that turned into animals without realizing it.
Now all her children were up and she just had to make them a quick lunch before they had to leave. "Alright! Line up!"
All heads snapped towards the mother, eyes sparkling with interest. Leah once again pushed Dana down, struggling to get in front of her. Randy took Becca's hand, making the little girl walk with him towards Christine. Dana, well, she was sitting on the floor pouting util she realized that she had to get in line and rushed to get in the back of Becca.
"Alright, Leah, since your first, what do you want for lunch?"
Leah seemed to think before grinning, "Candy!"
Christine sighed, shaking her head at the three year old. "Leah, mommy has told you before. We cannot eat candy for a meal. That's a snack."
"I want candy!"
Christine decided that ignoring the little girl was best for now, waving her away while she looked at Randy. "What do you want for lunch, sweetie?"
"Su-su!" Randy grinned, thinking he just said the smartest thing ever while Christine had no idea what the two year old just said. She just smiled and nodded, pretending that she actually understand.
Becca blind her hazel eyes at her mother, tilting her head because she didn't understand what was really going on. Christine really didn't know why she tried but Dana grinned at her mom, being the most intelligent out of all the children. "Noodles, mommy?"
Christine turned around, not having to go very far to get to the kitchen while she searched for a can of noodles that all of the children would like. She decided on spaghetti, thinking it was the safest option and got to making the can of spaghetti.
ten minutes later, each child and Christine sat on top of the mother's bed, each having their own little tray with a bowl in front of them. "Dig in!"
All four children completely ignored the silverware Christine had given them, using their hands to shove the noodles in their mouth.
All five of them were startled by the sudden banging on the door, Christine rushing to get to the door while avoiding tripping over toys. She opened the door slightly, allowing on a sliver of light threw as she looked at the person bothering her.
The apartment manager smiled at her, her yellow teeth making Christine was to hurl right in the women's face. "Can I help you?"
"I've gotten another complaint about their being animals inside your household. I've told you this countless times, pets are not allowed. You're going to either have to get rid of the pets or leave."
"I don't have any pets. . . " Christine mumbled, telling the women the truth because there was no reason to lie.
"I wasn't born yesterday. Now start packing your stuff or get rid of the pets. I'll be back tomorrow for your decision." With that the disgusting the women walked away, Christine sticking her tongue out at her childishly.
She wanted to move, badly, but Christine couldn't afford to buy a real house. Then a thought hit her. Nick had wanted to move to the country, start farming and grow their own food, allow the children to grow up in the wild.
Smiling widely, Christine went back into the apartment, rushing around to try and find all the places that she had hidden money. She counted almost almost two hundred thousand dollars because she had saved the money from Nick's wallet and bank account.
Her children would have a better life.
She would make sure of it.
