Chapter Three

Christine laid her head against the car window, looking at the scenery while the house salesman kept talking. She wasn't concerned on what he was saying as she just wanted to see the last house he had planned for her.

For the past five hours she has dealt with looking at houses. All of which never seemed to satisfy her needs for her children. All four of the children were in the back seat, Leah kicking the house salesman's seat. Christine was going to tell the little girl to stop but it was quite amusing seeing the man trying to restrain himself.

Dana watched a princess movie on her little tablet while Randy was trying to show the tired Becca the scenery outside. Becca's head started to bob, the little girl trying to fight the urge to sleep but she lost in that battle. This caused Randy to pout at his little sister but he just kept looking out the window then, his eyes holding joy.

Christine herself was starting to fall asleep until the man pulled up in front of a slightly destroyed house. The woman frowned as she tried to ignore the holes in the roof or the fact that it had a weird style to it. She concluded that it was a Japanese style home and as someone who loved the language, her heart was thrown in the direction of wanting this home immediately.

Christine could easily patch up the holes in the roof and fix the few things in the house.

"This here is our last stop and probably the worst one. The field where you're given to plant is horrible, animals from the mountain will come down and eat your crops before you can."

Christine nodded as the man struggled to open the sliding door to show her what he meant. She coughed at the sudden amout of dust, putting down the now awake Becca to allow her to run around with her siblings.

She smiled when she saw the view of the backyard, her heart once more pulling her to buy this house.

"Everything is already paid off except for the house itself. You get water from the stream so no water bill and electricity would probably be about forty bucks a month since it's in such a rural area. I can easily take you back up to that nice little cottage we were just at and work out some arrange---."

Christine cut the man off, a smile on her face as she rocked back and forth on the balls of her feet. "I'll take this one."

The man choked on his words, his eyes wide as he stared at the women in front of him. He was surprised, to say the least. He was certain she would have chosen the cottage closer to the village so she wouldn't be so alone out here.

"Are there any neighbors?" Christine asked, watching as her four children played tag in the backyard, a large smile on her face.

"If you count the few stray old men that are farmers."

Christine nodded, taking out her wallet as she looked at the man. She just wanted to pay and have him leave, just in case one of her children decided now would be a good time to suddenly change into a wolf.

". . . The house is only $10,000 since it's so beaten up and such." The salesman took the money and walked away from Christine, casting the women a strange look once more before he left. He thought of her as weird, wondering why the hell she wanted such a beat up house.

Christine watched her children for a few more minutes, her eyes sparkling in the sunlight. She wanted her children to have the best life she could provide for them and she would do everything in her power too allow them that.

Leah smiled at she picked up a bug, shoving the creature into Dana's face. The smaller twin let out a shrill scream, flailing her arms at her sister as she tried to get the terrifying bug away from her.

"Get it away!" She screamed, accidentally hitting Randy in the process, the younger boy having come over when he heard Dana scream.

Rnady growled, changing into an adorable wolf pup as he jumped a top his older sister. He tried to be scary but when he looked only a few months old in his wolf form, it was quite hard.

"What a baby!" Leah said, pouting at her sister who was now rolling around laughing on the floor while Randy licked her over and over. Dana was her sister and she wanted some time with her, she didn't want Randy there.

Leah quickly went over to where Becca was sitting, playing in a patch of flowers. Without a second thought, Leah pushed the little girl over and ran away right before Becca started to cry.

Instantly Randy was in action, the little boy rushing over to his little sister, the fun moments with Dana forgotten. Becca pushed her herself up, tears streaming down her chubby face as she reached for Randy, the boy struggling to even pick her up.

He carried her for a few moments before Christine was there, shopping the small girl from Randy's arms.

"Oh, Becca, what happened?"

The little girl couldn't form words, snot running down her faces while her face flushed. Christine frowned as she went inside, Randy trailing behind his mother. He wanted to make sure his little sister was okay before he started to play again.

Dana glanced up from where she sat, pouting until Leah came out from the trees, leaping onto her sister. Dana let out a squeal of delight, the girl once again falling back onto the ground.

"Leah!"

Leah smiled at her sisters won smiling face, happy that Dana was actually doing that action for once. The girl was usually timid and shy, never cracking a smile unless leah did something stupid or Christine was hugging her.

Dana was just a weird little girl.

The two little girls glanced up when they heard a car pull up next to the house, both of them peeking over the tall patches of grass to try and see who it was. An old man and woman came out from the car, the old woman wore a welcoming smile while the old man scared the two girls.

The old man cast a glance over to where the two girls where, both of them letting out squeals before they disappeared into the forest, hiding.

Christine appeared at the front door the minute she heard knocking, a frown etched into her face as she looked at the new guests surprised.

"W-welcome!" She stuttered out, gesturing for the old coupe to come inside her home.

The old woman instantly went inside, stretching her arms as she took her shoes off and lined them up neatly.

"What a nice little house ya got here!"

Christine shut the door after the man followed the woman inside, letting out a grunt when she said something about the house. The older women smacked him lightly upside the head, waving a boney finger at him.

"Don't you dare go being a grouch! You'll scare the girl away before she even gets settled in," She then turned to Christine, smiling. "My name is Elizabeth dear and this grouch is Mitch."

Elizabeth looked around the house once more before looking at Christine once again, "Welcome to your new home."
