Blue sea meets green sea,
Grey clouds cover a distant land;
Ships sail swiftly past,
A seal suns itself on the sand.

The northernmost tip, where the two seas meet.
She could just make out the grey clouds pouring down on the neighbouring country.
It felt odd, wearing a heavy jacket and a woollen cap to the sea. The salt and the breeze were not hot and sticky.
It felt odd being able to see across a sea to another nation.
A bunker from the Second World War lay half buried in the sand, the solemn aura of bravery and martyrdom blanketing it. She wished she knew what had transpired on that beach, who the brave soldiers were who had fought for their nation and the ideals they believed in.
She stood at the tip, the very end, after which the earth gave way to water.
She breathed in the beauty, the solitude, the vastness, the vibrance.
The stars, the mountains, and the sea always showed her how small she was, yet never had she felt so big, so one with her home world.
