roast piglet-girthed, fuscia-waistcoated, all

gentleman beyond –

smoke wedding coat slung over sloping shoulders,

pewter tails

brushed gracefully to fall at

ordered feet,

two curled hands clutching twiglet walking stick;

he rests,

one of several cooling heels in attendance,

he waits

for bride to come – spring-budletted, leaf-skirted, sweeping in –
