A state of inert uniformity
The Force awakens –
had it slept?
Woken to find itself pale and shaken?
Can a force be depleted?
Entropy says yes
and clearly, dammed water seems
exhausted, tamed, inert... yet...
spin a great spigot, then
stand back lest
the force of the water drills through flesh,
let fly flood gates
so stale water bursts free
and dreaming dam morphs into snarling adversary
It is we who are sleeping,
denying that call,
a small leak in a dyke downs a mighty seawall.
~
NOTE: This poem is not a call to terrorism but rather a rebuke of apathy.
