Volume 51: The Demon Tree
(March 19, year 378 in the time of the realm of humanity)
Kirito who was waking up but his vision was blurry.
Kirito:*groans*
He open his eyes to see that he's in a forest area.
He sat up as his vision was slowly getting better as he looks at his hands.
Kirito: what I'm wearing? Am I inside a game?
He moves his index finger down to open the menu.
Kirito: command, Log out.
Then a butterfly lands on his index finger surprised how real it looks.
Kirito: it looks too real for a 3d model. Are I dreaming or-
Then he realize it now as he eyes widen.
Kirito: that's it. This is the virtual world created by the STL, the Underworld!! No, but something's off. While I'm diving in the STL, my memories of the real world should be blocked off. But I remember meeting up with Yami, Asuna, Sachi and Sinon.
He goes up to a stream of water and drinks it to get refreshed.
Kirito: is this the virtual world?
Then he hear a noise as he remembers something. He sees two children running towards the sun as they stopped and looked at him.
Kirito: I don't know why, but I feel so nostalgic. And so frustrated.
[There should be a GIF or video here. Update the app now to see it.]
Kirito who kept walking in the forest. He sees an opening and walks out. His eyes widen to see a very tall tree.
He walks towards the tree amazed how tall it is as the leaves and branches blocked some of the sunlight. He looks to his left side to see a boy who's hair looks soft-looking, flax-brown, slightly wavy hair. Kirito grabs the handle but forgotten that he doesn't have a sword. The boy looks back and got up. Kirito gotten a good look to the boy's green eyes.
Boy: who are you? Where did you come from?
Kirito: a test player, like me and Yami? Or maybe an NPC?
The boy walks up to him, Kirito backed off.
Boy: what's wrong?
Kirito: Um, my name is...it's Kirito.
Boy: Kirito?
Kirito: I was coming from over there, but then I got lost.
Boy: Over there? South of the forest? Did you come from Zakkaria?
Kirito: N-No, that's not it. The thing is, I don't know where I came from.
????: hello? Anybody there?
They looked front of them and saw a white haired male wearing a red trench coat, with clothes that kinda makes him like a cowboy and Kirito knows that person.
????. There you are Kirito.
Kirito: Yami?
Yami: finally I found you.
Yami who pretended that he forgotten that he dealt with Johnny Black, asking him any question but he and the police couldn't get him tell any answers to them but Yami smirks and shocked him that he already knows it, kills him and send his soul to Hell.
Boy: you two don't know. Not even about the town you two live in?
Yami: no we don't remember where we live. Both of us were in a forest separated.
Boy: I can't believe it. I've heard the stories, but I've never seen two before. A lost child of Vecta.
Kirito: lost children of Vecta?
Boy: huh? Isn't that what they're called in your homeland?
Yami: well only Kirito. I'm a devil hunter. That's what people are called your village correct? Those who vanished without a trace or suddenly show up in a forest or in a field. The dark god, Vecta, likes to prank humans by spiriting them away, stealing their memories, and leaving them somewhere far away. I'm getting anything wrong?
Boy: n-no it's correct.
Yami: let me talk with Kirito okay?
Boy: y-yeah sure!!
Both walked away as Kirito speaks.
Kirito: what are you doing?
Yami: look we have to make sure that we don't mess up like saying log out because he and rest never seen the Real World.
Kirito: maybe he's a test player with his memories blocked off.
Yami: I highly doubt that, okay just be careful okay?
Kirito: yeah.
Yami: sorry but can we find a place to stay?
Boy: well my village is up north. We don't have a lot of travelers so we don't have a inn. But if we explain the situation, maybe Sister Azalia at the church will help you two.
Kirito: i-is that right? Then we'll try going to the village.
Yami: slow down Kirito. The men in arms can't let us go alone.
Boy: but I can go with you two and explain the situation. But I can't go right away, I still have work to do it will take four more hours.
Kirito: that's fine, we can wait. Sorry, but thanks for your help.
Boy: I see!! Okay, then have a seat somewhere. I haven't told you two my name yet, have I?
He takes out his hand as he said his name.
Eugeo: Eugeo, nice to meet you, two.
Kirito: Eugeo, that sounds familiar.
Eugeo: something wrong Mr.Kirito, Mr.Yami?
Yami: nothing but nice to meet you and just call us Yami and Kirito.
Eugeo: well then you can call me Eugeo.
They shake hands.
Eugeo: oh you two must be hungry.
They saw down and shared the bread.
Kirito: at the very least, he's not an NPC. But it's still not clear to me if he's an test player or not. Or..maybe this isn't a virtual world, but reality?
Eugeo: Well, that bread's only good point is how long it lasts, but it never hurts to be sure.
Eugeo put his left hand above the piece of bread he held in the other. With his index and middle fingers, he traced a curvy figure in the air that was like a combination of an S and a C.
To Kirito's astonishment, Eugeo tapped the roll, and with a strange sound like vibrating metal, a glowing, translucent light-purple rectangle appeared. It was about six inches wide and three inches tall.
Kirito: That settles it. This isn't real life or a true alternate world. It's virtual reality.
A relieved expression plastered on Kirito's face knowing that he was still alive and just dive into the game. Regaining his confidence, Kirito held out two left fingers to call up his window. He copied the symbol and tapped the bread as a purple window appeared with a bell chime.
Upon taking a closer look, the contents were very simple: just a single line that said Durability: 7/36.
Kirito: It was the life span of the bread. When that fell to zero, what exactly would happen to it, though?
Eugeo: Yami, Kirito, you two are at least familiar with the Stacia Window, right?
Both looked up and saw Eugeo staring at the both males suspiciously, holding his bread.
Kirito: O-Of course not!!
Yami: yeah I have some knowledge of it.
He taps the corner and it was gone.
Eugeo: it's still got plenty of life left, so you don't have to eat in a hurry. If it were summer, no way would it keep this long.
Then Kirito bites it but his eyes widen.
Kirito: rock solid!!
Eugeo: not very tasty, is it? I buy this bread at the bakery on my way here, but since it's so early, there's only leftovers from the day before. And there's isn't enough time to go back to the village at noon.
Yami: then why don't you bring lunch from home?
His eyes widen as he smiles.
Eugeo: well, years ago, somebody used to bring me lunch at noon every day.
Then he frowns and looks down to the ground.
Kirito: what happened?
He looks up the tree as the sunlight brights down.
Eugeo: she was my childhood friend. A girl, same age as me. When we were little, we played together all the time. And after I received my calling, she would bring me lunch every day without fail. But...because of me..
He starts to grip the bread as he was a bit frustrated.
Eugeo: one day, the two of us went to a cave up north, and she accidentally entered the Dark Territory. A place that the Taboo Index forbids us from ever setting foot in.
Kirito: Taboo Index?
Eugeo: the next day, an Integrity Knight arrived in the village...and she was taken away to the central city. But you know Kirito and Yami. I still believe that she's still alive.
Yami: I want to ask you something, Eugeo.
Eugeo: what is it, Yami?
Yami: where there another knights besides that Integrity Knight? Not related to those knights.
Eugeo: well y-yeah I did. For a bit I thought he would attack me but he told me this: "If you want to save the people you care for, become stronger, don't let anybody hold you back, don't hesitate at all it will kill you".
Yami: I see well I hope you become strong to save Alice. Become strong, save the people you care for, never let anything you back not even the rules, rebel on what you see as your right path.
Eugeo: o-oh thanks for that, Yami.
Eugeo: The Integrity Knight said she would be questioned and sentenced... but I have no idea what sentence she was given. I tried asking her father, Elder Gasfut, once... and he told me to assume that she was dead. But I still have faith, Kirito, Yami I know she's alive. Alice is alive, somewhere in the city...
Suddenly, Kirito sucked in a sharp breath as soon as he heard that name.
Kirito: Alice. For an unknown reason, I know that name. Alice...
Eugeo: Sorry. For discussing something so strange. It doesn't feel like I just met, is all.
Yami: it's fine, Eugeo.
Kirito: Oh no, I don't mind. But if you want to find out, why don't you go look for her? In this central city.
Eugeo: Rulid Village is at the very northern end of the Norlangarth Empire. To get to Centoria at the very southern end of the empire, it would take an entire week with the fleetest of horses. I mean, it takes two days just to walk to Zakkaria, the nearest town. You couldn't even get there in a day if you left at sunrise on a day of rest.
Kirito: Well, if you prepared for the journey...
Eugeo: Listen, Yami, Kirito you two are about my age—didn't you get a Calling when you grew up? You know I can't just abandon my Calling and go on a journey.
Kirito: Oh, good point.
He said scratching his head while watched Eugeo's reaction carefully.
Kirito: The boy was not just a regular old NPC. His wealth of expression and natural conversation skills were human. But at the same time, his actions appeared to be bound by some limiting force far more effective and absolute than the laws of the real world. Just like a VRMMO NPC, forbidden to act outside his approved boundaries.
Deciding to get to the bottom of this, both boys chose their words carefully as Eugeo put the waterskin to their mouths.
Yami: So when was this girl Alice taken away to the central city?
Eugeo: yeah during the summer I was eleven, so six years ago.
Eugeo then tossed Yami and Kirito the water and Yami caught it.
Yami: Thanks.
Yami then pulled out the stopper, which looked like a cork. The water wasn't cold, but there was a pleasant aroma to it, something like a mix of lemon and herbs. Yami took one mouthful while Kirito taken two and handed them back to Eugeo.
Kirito: Thanks for the bread. And sorry about taking half your lunch.
Eugeo: No, don't worry. I'm sick of that stuff anyway.
He said with a much more natural smile and quickly folded up the cloth.
Eugeo: Sorry about forcing you to wait. I've just got to finish my afternoon work first.
Eugeo then stood up easily in preparation for his duty.
Yami: By the way, Eugeo, your work your Calling. What is it?
Eugeo: Oh, right You can't see it from over there.
He smiled and beckoned to Kirito and Yami. Kirito got up, curious, and followed him around to the other side of the tree trunk. When they arrived there, Yami noticed that there was an ax standing against the tree, just below the cut.
Eugeo then grabbed the ax with one hand, lifting it onto his shoulder. He walked over to the left edge of the five-foot-wide cut, spread his legs and lowered his stance, then squeezed the ax with both hands.
His slender body tensed and spun, the ax thrust backward, and after a momentary pause, it shot through the air. The heavy-looking head landed firmly in the center of the cut with a dry "krakk!" sound.
Kirito: It was indeed the very sound I had followed to this place. My instinct that it had come from a woodcutter was correct.
——

Both of them continue to watch Eugeo doing his Calling, Eugeo continued his chopping with mechanical precision and speed. Two seconds to pull back, one second to tense, one second to swing. The whole motion was so smooth and automatic that it made Kirito wonder if this world had sword skills, too.
After Eugeo made fifty chops at four seconds each in exactly two hundred seconds, he slowly pulled the ax out after the last one and heaved a deep breath. He then stood the ax against the trunk again and sat down heavily on a nearby root.
Kirito: So your job-I mean, your Calling is a woodcutter? Did you cut down trees in this forest?
Eugeo pulled a handkerchief out of his pocket to wipe his face, which bore a dubious expression.
Eugeo: Well, I guess you could say it like that. But in the seven years since I got this Calling, I haven't cut down a single tree.
Kirito: What?
Eugeo: This enormous tree is called the Gigas Cedar in the sacred tongue. But most of the villagers just call it the devil tree.
Yami: Sacred tongue? Giga Seeder?
Eugeo just chuckled and smiled before he responded to the confused Yami(pretending) and Kirito. He pointed up at the branches far, far above.
Eugeo: It's Gigas Cedar. The reason they call it that is because the tree sucks up all of Terraria's blessings from the land around it. That's why only moss grows beneath the reach of its branches, and all the trees where its shadow falls do not grow very tall.
Kirito: I didn't know what Terraria was, but the first impression I got when I saw the giant tree and its clearing was largely correct.
Yami who remembers who has that account as he shivers that moment.
Yami: even though I know what happened but I'll make sure she doesn't get the chance to attack Terraria.
He nodded, prompting Eugeo to continue.
Eugeo: The villagers want to clear the forest and plant new fields. But as long as this tree stands, no good barley will grow. So we want to cut it down, but, as the name suggests, the demon tree's trunk is wickedly tough. A single swing from a normal iron ax will chip the blade and ruin it. So they saved up a bunch of money to get this Dragonbone Ax carved from ancient dragon bone shipped from the central capital, and they designated a dedicated "carver" to strike at the tree every day. That's me.
Yami and Kirito looked back and forth between Eugeo and the cut, which was about a quarter of the way through the giant tree.
Yami: you've been chopping at this tree every day for seven years? And after seven years, this is all you could manage?
Now it was Eugeo's turn to be stunned as he shook his head in disbelief.
Eugeo: Oh, hardly. If you could get this far in just seven years, I might feel a little better about it. I'm a seventh-generation carver. For 300 years, generations of carvers have chopped away every day, and this is how far we've gotten.
Kirito: 300 years?!
He said with a shocked expression as Eugeo's three-minute break ended, and he stood up again and reached for the ax.
Yami: Hey, Eugeo... Would you mind letting us try?
Eugeo: What?
Kirito I mean, you did give us half your lunch. So we should do half of your work, right?
Eugeo was stunned as this is the first time that someone offered to help him at his work before in his life.
Eugeo: Well... there's no rule that you can't get someone's help with your Calling... but you'd be surprised how hard it is. When I was just starting, I could barely land a hit.
Kirito: Never know until you try, right?
He smirked, then thrust out his hand as Eugeo offered the handle of the Dragonbone Ax, looking reluctant and Kirito grabbed it.
Despite being made of bone, the ax was tremendously heavy. Kirito added a second hand to the grip and shook a bit as he tested his balance. Kirito then stood at the left end of the cut and got into a sword drawing stance, spreading his feet and lowering his hips.
Kirito: This is a virtual world. Think in terms of your avatar, not your physical body.
Eugeo and Yami stood at a safe distance, watching Kirito with equal parts consternation and entertainment. Kirito then took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a second before opening it back.
Kirito: Arghh!!!
Kirito shifted his weight forward, adding a little energy to the rotation of his hips and shoulders down to the wrists and ax head, slamming it into the tree but it missed the cut in the tree entirely and twanged off the tough bark.
Eugeo: Amazing... His stance, speed, and strength perfectly control. It's like he was a professional... No, his stance tells me that he does not release his full power. Who in the world are you, Kirito...?
He thought with a shocked expression watching Kirito did well for someone who lost memory to him. Eugeo then smiled honestly as he decides to not questioning Kirito for now.
Eugeo: Woah, that's was pretty good. Come on. Let's see if you did better than me.
Kirito: Is that a challenge? Because if it is a challenge, I'll not back down easily.
Yami: okay well it's my turn Kirito.
Then, on his attempt, Yami did the same what Kirito did but with ease which shocked both of them as he hit the tree, producing that clear ring and sending a tiny little shard of black flying. He then hits more of the tree more rapidly lowering the tree's Durability by a ton. Once again, Eugeo was shocked at Kirito's pure talent in swinging the ax. But for Yami's talent is just something else that is not possible for human standards
Eugeo: Seriously... who in the world are you, Kirito...? But for you Yami...what are you? How did you do that with ease?
Time Skip
After several turns back and forth, Yami realized the sun was going down, and there was an orange tint to the light trickling into the forest clearing. He then took the last swig of water from the large waterskin, and Eugeo set down the ax.
Eugeo: Okay, that's 1,500.
Kirito: What, we've already done that many?
Eugeo: Yeah. 500 for me, 500 for you and 500 for Yami. My Calling is to strike the Gigas Cedar two thousand times a day, over the morning and afternoon.
Hearing that, Yami can only laugh nervously.
Yami: Two thousand times... Just like 1/5 times of my training with Byakuya and Yoruichi.
Eugeo: You two got a talent for this, Kirito, Yami. There were two or three good hits in that last set of fifty. And it made my job a whole lot easier today.
Yami: Thanks for your kind words. But I'm sure you would've been done sooner if it was just you.
He apologized, but Eugeo just laughed it off
Eugeo: I told you, I can't cut down this tree for as long as I live. And after all, it will regrow half of the depth that we carve out throughout the night... Oh hey, I've got something to show you. You're not supposed to look at it, though.
He approached the tree and held up his left hand, making the usual sign with his two fingers, then tapped the black bark as the Stacia window appeared in front of the two.
Yami: Ugh...
Eugeo: Hmm. That's only about fifty lower than what it said when I checked last month. So you see, Kirito, Yami, I could swing this ax for an entire year, and it would only reduce the life of the Gigas Cedar by about six hundred. I'll be lucky if the total is under 200,000 by the time I retire. Do you get it now? A little bit less progress over half a day doesn't make the least bit of difference. This isn't any ordinary tree; it's the giant god of cedars.
Yami: Is that so?
Eugeo then tidied up the things he'd brought before looked at Kirito and Yami with a smile.
Eugeo: Thanks for waiting, you two. Let's go to the village.
Both nodded as they and Eugeo started to make their way to the village. As they walked to Eugeo's village, Eugeo cheerfully told them about a variety of topics and before they knew it, they arrived at a single building that looked like a storage shed near the exit of the forest.
Walked over to the wooden shed and pulled open its door, Eugeo stood the Dragonbone Ax against the wall among various equipment in there and shut the door.
Kirito: Uh, shouldn't you lock it or something? That's a really important ax, right?
Eugeo: Lock it? Why?
Kirito: What do you mean? So no one steals it.
Eugeo: No need to worry! It says in the Taboo index not to steal, remember?
Kirito: O-Oh, right...
Eugeo: All right, let's head to the village.
Eugeo then started to walk away, leaving them there alone before he started to follow after him.
Kirito: H-Hey... Hey, wait up!
After catching up with Eugeo, both began to walk beside him while looking at his surrounding. There was a full field of barley wheat ahead. The heads, still young and green and not yet expanding, swayed in the breeze.
Yami: so relaxing. Color me impressed, Kayaba.
They caught the full light of the waning sun like a sea of grass. The path continued through the field, winding toward a hill in the far distance.
When the three reached a mossy stone bridge spanning a narrow waterway and set foot into the village of Rulid, both had to make a sudden stop when Eugeo stopped in front of him. They looked at who was in front of him and saw a boy around his age with wilted-leaf-colored, short hair, and a stern look.
???: Hey, Eugeo. Who the hell was that?
Eugeo: Zink, they are Kirito and Yami. He seems to be a lost child of Vecta while Yami is the same but a devil hunter.
The youngster named Zink then glanced at the suspiciously.
Zink: Hey, you really can't remember anything?
Kirito: N-No.
Zink: You even forgot your calling?
Yami: That's right.
Zink: Well, it probably wasn't worth Calling anyway. Just like Eugeo over there. It must've been one pointless, futile job!
Hearing Zink mocked Eugeo's Calling, Yami narrowed his eyes at Zink, disliking his attitude.
Zink: Unlike my Calling, mans-at-arms...
Yami: Swordsman.
Zink stopped bragging about his Calling as he looked at Yami with confusion along with Eugeo.
Yami: My Calling is... Swordsman.
Zink: Swordsman? A weak-looking guy like you can wield a sword?
Yami:...
Yami does not flattered while still lowering his head as his white hair is covered with eyes which makes Zink smirked thinking that Yami was scared but in fact, Yami just stays cool.
Zink: Then why don't you show me?
Hearing that, Yami looked at Zink with a grin as he made the wrong decision in challenging him.
After challenging Yami to prove his abilities in wielding a sword, Zink took Yami and Eugeo to a training field, and currently, Yami stand in front of a wooden log while Eugeo, Kirito and Zink stood at a safe distance, watching Yami with different feelings.
Zink simply smirked thinking that Yami will fail horribly while Eugeo watched Yami with anticipations and excitement after witnessing his strength back there. Kirito was waiting for Zink's reaction to be shocked. In Yami's right hand was a simple-looking longsword.
Yami: Just another brat to be put in his place.
After giving the one-handed sword a few swinging, Yami got into a back stance, where he spreading his feet and pulled his right hand where he holding the sword behind and aimed it at the wooden log.
Suddenly, the blade started glowing blue shocking Eugeo and Zink in the process while Kirito is happy. Yami currently using <<Sword Skill: Horizontal>> as he released a single horizontal slash at the wooden log, and cut it in half.
Kirito: Was that a... light effect? I know that we used it back when we first swing the ax but that was just our Swordsman's Instinct. I didn't know that Sword skills exist in this world...?
Eugeo: That was amazing, Yami!!
Yami then looked at Eugeo who walking towards him.
Eugeo: I didn't know you could use a skill like that! Maybe you were a sentinel in some big city?
Yami: as I said before I'm a devil hunter.
Eugeo: Zink. That's enough right? I'm going to let Yami and Kirito into the Village.
After leaving the station, Yami, Kirito and Eugeo walked down the village's main street, attracting a slightly unnerving amount of attention. Several villagers asked who Yami and Kirito were, and Eugeo stopped to explain each time, so it took them nearly thirty minutes to get to the small village square at the center of Rulid.
One old lady carrying a large basket got teary-eyed when she saw Yami.
Old Lady: You poor thing!
She exclaimed, and pulled an apple out of the basket and give it Yami which made him and Kirito felt a bit guilty about that. Then, they continue to make their way to the church and by the time they got to the church standing on the small hill overlooking the village, the sun was almost entirely gone.
Kirito: I'm tired...
Eugeo: We're finally here, huh?
Yami: Yeah. Thanks for showing us the way. It's actually... fancier than we expected. Are they going to let someone like me stay there?
Eugeo: Of course. Sister Azalia is a very nice person.
Eugeo then went to knock on the door and after few seconds, a nun whose picture ought to be in the dictionary under the word "stern", answered Eugeo's knock on the door.
???: How can I help you?
Kirito: U-Umm...
Yami then looked inside and saw a girl about 12 years old behind the nun woman. The girl wore a black habit with a white collar, and her light brown hair hung long down her back. Her big, busy eyes held none of the downcast obedience she'd displayed in the presence of the sister. When the girl and Eugeo's eyes met, Eugeo simply looked away from her and Yami notices it.
Yami: Seems that they remember Alice's arrest....

After letting Yami and Kirito stay at the church, the brown-haired girl took Yami and Kirito to their room, and currently, she standing before Yami and Kirito as they sat on the bed.
???: Here you go, a pillow and blankets. There are more in the wardrobe in the back if you're cold. Morning prayer is at six, and breakfast is at seven. I'll come to check on you, but please do wake up on your own. If you're late because of overslept, Sister Azalia can be scary! There's a curfew once lights are out, so be mindful of that.
The two males accepted both the onslaught of words and the heavy pile of wool blankets with outstretched arms. As the brown-haired girl lecturing then, she then noticed few kids watching them and when they were busted, the kids ran away before she catches them.
After the kids run away, the brown-haired girl then looked back at the two boys
???: Umm, is there anything else you need to know?
Kirito: No, I think we've got it. Thanks for all the help.
For a brief moment, Selka's expression softened, and then it was back to fussy business as usual.
???: Good night, then. Do you know how to put out the lamp?
Yami: Yeah. Good night, Selka, right?
The brown-haired girl named Selka give Yami and Kirito a small smile and nodded briskly before she spun to leave the room while the hem of her slightly too-large habit swaying.
Once Selka's quiet footsteps trailed away, Kirito let out a long sigh while looking around his room. They had put Yami and Kirito in a little-used room on the second floor of the church. The room was about a hundred square feet, with a cast-iron bed, matching desk and chair, a small bookshelf, and a wardrobe next to it.
——
Time Skip
It was currently nighttime in Rulid Village, the village where Yami and Kirito temporarily resided. Currently, Kirito sitting in his bed with his hand on his chin as he was replayed all the events that had transpired between entering the village and now.
Kirito: This isn't the real world. And there isn't a single NPC in this village. Even so, there can't be enough STL's to allow every villager to log in as a tester. According to Eugeo, more than 300 years have passed in this universe. And Eugeo has spent at least six-year here. If that's true, then Eugeo and the others...
He paused his roiling thoughts there and sat up so he could put his feet on the floor. Kirito's gaze then fixed onto the wall behind the head of the bed was a cast-iron oil lamp that emitted a wavering orange light and a faint burning smell.
Kirito tapped the surface of the lamp to turn it off but it doesn't turn off. He then noticed the small dial on the bottom of the lamp and he gave it a clockwise twist. The metal squeaked, and the flame narrowed until it died out, leaving a brief line of smoke.
After turned off the lamp, Kirito turned back to the bed, placed the pillow where he liked it, and lay down again. It was a bit chilly, so Kirito pulled Selka's thick blankets up to his shoulders and felt sleep closing in.
Kirito: Eugeo and the others were raised here from birth. So they must be copies of the souls of newborns who were then raised in this virtual world. In other words, Artificial Fluctlights. It's hard to believe, but there's no other explanation. But why would they do such a thing? And just how fast has time been accelerated in this world? What will happen if we lived out our life here before getting back into reality? I may be able to contact Kikuoka in a bigger city. Right now, we don't have the money to go cross-country, and we don't know enough about this world. But if we had someone's help, maybe we can get into this so-called central city.
While Yami who was on the other bed as he was speaking to his friends and mom.
Yami: day one is near completed.
Nel: yeah you can do this, Yami!!
Teir: yes, you have been getting stronger of the years.
Yami: true but I had to suppress my powers.
Goku: yeah so you get suspicious with your powers.
Yami: even then they would die trying to even attack me.
Raidou: yeah even with devil summoning would be a challenge for them.
Raikou: yes it would be a death wish of those who dare attack you son.
Tatsuya: the amount of people that you have to trust and be careful with.
Maya: yep, well goodnight Yami.
Yami: goodnight guys.
Yami's eyelids slowly grow heavy as he started to close his eyes, then drifted off to sleep.
——
At the same time and same day where Yami and Kirito were diving in the Underworld, at the top of the Central tower, there is a woman with silver-colored hair who is sleeping butt naked on pretty huge bed. Suddenly, the silver-haired woman smiles when she feels a familiar presence. It makes her heart flutter for some reason.
???: Finally, you're here... My love...we can be together..
