After returning from the Honkai Impact Universe with Cecilia joining the team/harem. Everyone were happy that Yami came back with Sachi having a daughter and naming it Luna. Currently, Yami, Kazuto, and Suguha are all having breakfast in Kirigaya's dining room since Yami had spent the night helping Kauzto's school project since Yami is a smart person(not really) and he's bored since Yui at Asuna's house along with Sachi and his daughter Luna. Kazuto was drinking his tea and Yami was eating the breakfast made by Suguha.

Suguha: Onii-chan, Yami, did you two stay up really late again?

Kazuto: Yeah, I had some mechatronics homework to do.

Suguha: Mechatron...

Yami: Mechatronics. Sounds like Megatron.

Suguha: Yami, why are you also stay late?

Yami: This guy is asking me many times to help him so I decided to come over and it takes longer than I expected but as a good boyfriend he is he's able to help me with that.

Suguha then showed her tablet to both of them. Kazuto looked at the tablet with a shocked look.

Kazuto: "The Holy Sword Excalibur's in ALO has been found"?!

Yami: seems like there's another Excalibur, Artoria.

Artoria: how many Excaliburs are there?

Yami: who knows but this version of Excalibur isn't my favorite mostly looks. I prefer yours Artoria.

Artoria: why thank you, Yami.

Suguha: No, read what it says. It's been found, nothing more. Nobody's actually got it for themselves yet.

Kazuto then released a sighed in relief after hearing that nobody had got their hand on the sword.

Kazuto: Man, don't scare me like that.

Yami: You really want that sword that much, my black rose?

Kazuto then got tick mack with a blush on his head hearing that nicknames.

Kazuto:*blush*Like I said don't call me by that, Yami!!

Yami: Sorry, sorry. I can't help want to see my boyfriend's reaction.

Kazuto(narrator): A dew months, Leafa, Yui, Kitsune and I got swallowed up by a huge earthworm type monster on the Arun Plains and were dropped into Jotunheim an underground Realm. There, we came upon a four armed humanoid monster assaulting a demon that looks like a hybrid elephantic jellyfish. When Leafa asked me and Kitsune to save the monster being bullied. So we helped the jellyfish by bringing the four arms monster to the lake and fell in giving the elephantic jellyfish demon the victory. Dubbed "Tonky" by Leafa, this demon transform himself into a eight winged creature and let us ride on his back, carrying us to a passageway leading to the surface. It was on the way up that we saw it. A giant labyrinth hanging from the world tree, wrapped up in it's roots...And a long golden sword shimmering at it's base. Excalibur...

Kazuto(narrator): something is telling me that this is not the true form of Excalibur.

Yami: you were planning to go after it one of those days.

Suguha: but you've gotten your hands full clearing levels in the New Aincrad.

Kazuto: yeah, but I wonder how they found it? Players can't fly in Jotunheim, and it's so high up, you couldn't spot here Excalibur is unless you flew.

Yami: well they could use the same methods use like we saved Tonky before which makes more sense.

Kazuto: a creepy thing like that...

Suguha: Hnnnn...

Kazuto: Uh, no...to want to save a unique demon requires really strange taste...

Suguha: Mmmmm...

Kazuto: no, I mean a philanthropic heart...

Suguha:*drinks slowly*

Yami:*sweatdrop*

Kazuto: who knows there was someone else besides you, Sugu?

Suguha: he is not creepy!! He's adorable!!

Yami: not as adorable as you Suguha.

Suguha:*blush* but that means that it might just be a matter of time before someone crashed that dungeon and claims the sword.

Kazuto: yeah, you're right.

Suguha: what are you going to do Onii-chan, Yami?

Kazuto: Suguha, getting rare items isn't the play of it. If that's you play for then you're missing out more.

Suguha: yeah, I guess not. Just powering up through our weapon specs isn't really...

Kazuto: but seeing as he showed us that sword, I think we need to live up to Tonky's expectations. I'll bet that deep down inside he must be hoping that we'll break into that dungeon. I mean after all, Tonky's our friend, am I right?

Suguha:*smile* even though you just called him creepy?

Yami: they called off the practice for holidays?

Suguha: yeah?

Kazuto: Tonky can carry 10 people. So that means me, you Asuna, Klein, Liz, Silica, Yuna, Sachi and Yami. That leaves one more, huh? Agil's got his cafe to run and Chrysheight isn't exactly reliable. And I'm sure Recon's in Sylph territory...

Suguha: Hey, I know!! Let's invite Sinon!!

Yami: bingo, Suguha.

Suguha: okay, I'm gonna let everyone know. You contact Asuna. Okay, Yami?

Yami: yep.

(Meanwhile Asuna's house)

Asuna who was in the bathroom taking a bath as she was in her mind.

Asuna:*sigh* Before I head home to Kyoto, I wish I could see Kitsune again...

Then her phone starts to ring as Yami's name appeared and she picks it up.

Asuna(on phone): Hello, Yami..

Yami: Good morning, Asuna. Is Yui and Sachi already awake?

Asuna(on phone): Yeah. They're now in my room. Why are you calling me?

Yami: Well, I'm wondering if you had the spare time? This afternoon, we're all planning to go on a quest in ALO.

Asuna(on phone): Great, I'm free all day today.

Yami: Awesome. I'lI send you the meeting place and time.

Asuna(on phone): Got it! See you later in-game! Ah! Wait a moment, Yami!!

Yami: yeah what is it?

Asuna (on phone): Don't forget in three days, we will go to Kyoto for New Year Eve.

Yami: Crap! I almost forgot about it! Thanks, Asuna for reminding me.

Asuna (on phone): You're welcome. You know Yami, Yui really excited about the event.

Yami: yeah Sachi is okay with that?

Asuna: yes, she'll be taking care of your daughter, Luna.

Yami: that's nice for her.

Asuna(phone): Yeah. Alright, I'm gonna eat breakfast with Yui and Sachi! Bye, Yami!
Love you! See you later in-game!

Yami: Me too.

Then they ended their phone call with a smile on their face. Yami then went inside to continue to eat his breakfast with Kirigaya's family as Asuna eat breakfast with her daughter, Sachi and her parent.

Yami: I know I'm not gonna do the extra chapter because I'm bitch.

After contacting everyone, they had all logged into ALO, and currently, Klein has chugged a drink happily as he sits while Kirito leans back on the wall and on the opposite side of them are Sinon who on side by Silica as they and the others gathered inside Lizbeth's Arms Shop to regroup.

Silica: are you already off, for the New Year's holidays, Klein?

Klein: yep, since yesterday. Even if we wanted to work, no shipments come in at this time of the year, see. My lousy boss is like. "Since you're getting a week off for New Year's, we're totally a white collar corporation!!" I mean he's bragging about it!!

Klein finished Silica who just sweatdropped at him. He then turns to Kirito as everyone also looked at him.

Klein: Hey, Kirito,... If we do manage to nab the Excaliber swords, today, help me get the Spirit Blade Kaguzuchi.

Kirito: Eh? But it's in that crazy hot dungeon.

Klein: Yeah, like freezing your pants off in Jötunheimr is any better!

Sinon then looked at Kirito.

Sinon: Then, I'll for Kitsune's help on getting the Light Bow Shekinah.

Kirito: You've had your character for two weeks, and you're already aiming to get a legendary weapon?

Sinon: The bow Liz made me is wonderful, but I'd like a bit more range.

Sinon answered with a slight smile.

Lizbeth: Listen...

Everyone looked behind Sinon at Lizbeth holding Sinon's bow.

Lizbeth: In this world, bows have more range than spears, but less range than magic. You're the only one who's trying to hit the target from a hundred meters away.

Sinon: Honestly, I'd like to double that.

Sinon answered, stunning Lizbeth.

Just on time, suddenly, the door to the building opens up. Everyone looked up to see Leafa, Asuna, Sachi, and Yuna standing in the doorway with a basketful of healing potions, along with Yui in her fairy form sitting on Sachi's shoulder.

Leafa: we're back!!

Asuna: thanks for waiting.

Silica: welcome back!!

Klein: what's up? You got lost or something?

Yui: not at all. While we were out of shopping, we gather some information.

She flies up to Kirito's head.

Yui: it doesn't seem like there's anyone or any party that's reached that dungeon yet, uncle.

Kirito: oh, yeah? So how did they find out where Excalibur is?

Yui: well, apparently, they found a different quest than the one we found with Tonky. And it seems limes the NOC indicated Excalibur as the reward for that quest.

Sachi: not only that, but it doesn't seem to be a very pleasant kind of quest.

Asuna: rather than an errand-type or protection-type quest. It's more of a slaughter-type quest where you have to mow down monsters.

Kitsune: that's more of my type of quest!!

They turned around to see Kitsune but in his new clothes.

Klein: woah, Kitsune!! You got some good style!!

Lisbeth: Kitsune, you're back. Oh wow you look great in those.

Silica: you look cool in those.

Kitsune: thanks you two. So I heard about an quest that the reward is Excalibur. Right now Jotunheim is a bloodbath with people vying for re-spawns.

Yuna: hearing that it doesn't sound to pleasant.

Klein: yeah, but don't you guys think it's kinda weird? This Holy Sword Excalibur is sealed at the far end of a floating dungeon teeming with terrifying demons, right?

Sarah: that's strange for an NPC to show it as the reward for a quest?

Xenophanse and X:*shivers*

Raven: it could kill you two.

X: p-please don't remind us.

Silica: now you mention it, it does seem strange. I could understand if it were to help us get to the dungeon, but..

Everyone then about it for a moment before
Sinon broke the silent

Sinon: Well, we'll know when we get there.

Sinon said while holding a bottle of potions as Kitsune nodded in agreement.

Lizbeth: Okay! All weapons are fully restored!

Lizbeth said as she held each and everyone's weapons in her arms. Everyone then got each of their weapons, they prepared themselves for the quest to come.

Klein: Well, all that, and our party is still a bunch of muscle-heads, though.

Lizbeth: Then raise your magic skills.

Lizbeth turned to Klein with a snicker.

Klein: No way. A samurai never selects any magic skills. It isn't allowed.

Lizbeth: Listen. In RPGs, the samurai has been a 'warrior plus black magic' class for a long time.

Klein: Huh! I'd rather snap my katana and quit being a samurai than use magic.

Silica: But earlier, Klein, you were using a Flame Sword Skill, weren't you? I think that was half-magic.

Klein: Ehhhh? F-For real?!

Yami: it seems that he said for real before Ryuji)

Yui: Yes, Silica is right. In the May update, Sword Skills were introduced in ALO, and high-level skills are also divided by magic classes of earth, water, fire, wind, dark and light, in addition to physical...

Klein: I-Is that right?

Lizbeth: So weren't you going to snap your katana, rather than use magic?

Lizbeth snickered as Klein was gobsmacked and retreated to Kirito and Kitsune

Klein: Kitsune... Kirito...

Kitsune: To perform a Sword Skill, you don't say any incantations.

Kirito: Yeah. Let's say it doesn't count.

Kitsune: then again you need to raise your stats to make your abilities stronger any RPG games does that.

Lizbeth: Fair enough.

Lizbeth said while folding her arms in defeat as Kitsune then looked at everyone.

Kitsune: Everyone, thank you all for coming despite my last minute request. Later, I and Kirito be sure to thank you all properly somehow. Well then, let's do our best!

Everyone: Yeah!

(Time Skip)

After leaving Liz's shop, everyone then started to make their way to Jötunheimr, through a secret passageway in Alne that Argonaut had found which is a very long and spiral stairway. Currently, the party was climbing down a set of long stairs as Lizbeth panted in tiredness.

Liz: How many more steps does this place have?

Leafa: I think this place is about the size of a whole dungeon floor in New Aincard.

Kitsune: Listen, it takes about two hours to get to Jötunheimr via the normal way. This is taking us five minutes. So stop complaining.

Sinon: You're bragging like you were the one who made this path.

Kitsune: *smirk* Well, thanks for the astute observation--

Kitsune then sneaks his right hand behind Sinon and grips her blue tail, causing Sinon to shriek in surprise and blushing like crazy.

Sinon: why, you!!

Sinon attempted to claw Kitsune with her claw but Kitsune just dodges it by jumped back and continue jogging next to Kirito and Klein. Sinon then looked at Kitsune, pissed and blushing.

Sinon:*blush* Kitsune, if you do that again, I'm gonna shove a fire arrow right up your face!!

Meanwhile, Kitsune's girlfriends and boyfriend(Kirito) notice this can't help but smile and jealous a bit but they know that Sinon likes him for sure and they already talk about this with Sinon before.

Klein: You got balls of steel, man.

Kirito: Yeah. Even I didn't dare to did that.

Kitsune: yeah sure you would, Kirito*mumbles* In the canon timeline.

Kirito: what?

After a few minutes of walking through the passageway, the group then arrived at the terrace. On top of the terrace, no stairs were leading them below the surface except the stairs which they had taken. The terrace was nothing more than ground in mid-air.

Klein: it's very cold, here!!

Klein shivered as he rubbed his arms up and down his shoulders.

Everyone then looked around in pure awe at the sight greeting them.

Sinon: Amazing...

Yami:....

Everyone looked in amazed to see the sight while Klein was rubbing his arms and shoulders as he spoke.

Klein: Kitsune, Kirito...

Kitsune then looked at Sachi as Sachi smiled and nodded at him before she begins to use an incantation.

Sachi: Ous. Sharl. Raise. Wind. Hard. Halca. Storms.

As she finished, everyone was briefly enveloped under orange light.

Sachi: Okay. I applied some cold resistance magic to you. Asuna?

Asuna looked at Leafa as she nodded in understanding. Suddenly, Leafa whistled.
After a moment, everyone looked down over the edge of the ground.

Yui: Tonkii-san!

Klein: Eh?

Klein backed away in fright as Tonkii appeared in front of everyone.

Kirito: It's okay. He may not look like it, but he's an herbivore.

Leafa: But when we brought him some fish from the surface, he gulped them in one bite.

Tonkii then raises its long snout and put it down on top of Klein's head.

Kitsune: It's saying to get on.

Klein: B-But... My grandpa's dying words were to never ride American cars or flying elephants.

Kitsune: excuse me!? You're missing the good stuff!!

Kirito: Back at the Dicey Cafe, you just gave me dried persimmons you said your grandpa made. They were good, so give me some more.

Kirito spoke before pushing Klein onto climbing Tonky. Everyone then also got on top of Tonky except Kitsune who is standing in front of him and patted Tonki on the head.

Kitsune: Thanks, Tonkii. We counting on you.

Kitsune then pulled his arms as he started back away from Tonkii and jumped up on top of Tonkii with everyone else.

Leafa: all right!! Tonky, take us to the entrance of that dungeon!!

Tonky roared in understanding as it immediately turns around and sets forth towards the said dungeon entrance. While they were flying on Tonky, Lizbeth looks over at the ground below and asked.

Lizbeth: Hey, I wonder what would happen if we fell from up here?

Asuna: I'm sure the two are right here... the two people who once plummeted from a pillar outside Aincard trying to climb to the next level. I'm sure they'll experiment with that one day!

Then everyone looked at Kitsune and Kirito.

Kirito: speaking of falling from hights, wouldn't that be right up a cat-type's alley?

Both Kitsune and Kirito looked at Sinon and Silica at the same time as Sinon and Silica just shook their heads at the idea.

Suddenly, Tonky immediately dives forward as everyone gaped at the immediate action and they grabbed onto Tonky as a means to keep themselves from falling by the force pushing against them. All of them except Leafa, Kitsune and Yuna were enjoying the moment.

After a while, Tonky slowly slows down as it arrived near the lower grounds. Everyone on top of Tonky was catching their breaths from earlier.

Leafa and Yuna then notice something happening below them.

Leafa: Kitsune, Onii-chan! Look at that!

All of them then looks down, seeing multiple players along with the humanoid Evil God-class monster known as Tyrant attack one of the beast Evil God-class monster, known as
Tonky's kin.

Asuna: What's going on down there? Did someone tame that humanoid Tyrant?

Silica: That's impossible! The success rate for taming a Tyrant is zero percent, even for a Cait Sith with a full boost and special equipment!

Klein: So they're... what? Taking advantage of it? When the four-armed thing is fighting the elephant jellyfish, they're hitting it too.

Sinon: But is controlling a monster's aggro that easy?

After the Tyrant and the players killed Tonky's friend, the Tyrant walked away without fighting the players and they followed the Tyrant.

Kirito: Why aren't they starting combat with the humanoid Tyrant?

Kirito spoke up with surprise as he sees a group of players following the Tyrant which had killed one of Tonky's kin.

Sachi: Look over there too!

Everyone then looked at their left and saw more players working with the Tyrant to kill
Tonky's friends.

Yuna: It's cruel..

Klein: What... What's going on down there?

Lizbeth: Is this the new Jotunheimr slaughter quest that Asuna was talking about?

Yuna: Like, you work with the humanoid Tyrants to eliminate the bestial ones?

Suddenly, particles of glittering light appeared behind the party as everyone turned around. The particles of glittering light took the form of a big humanoid female.

She has a beautiful face with a serene expression and ladylike elegance. She is over 3 meters tall, has turquoise pupils, and wears a light-green long dress.

The skirt of her wavy fin-shaped blond hair, flowing from the back to the feet, is like tapered, divided, and undulated tentacles.
Her limbs are covered by pearly sparkling scales.

Lord X: MY EYES!!

Hollow Yami: The fuck?

Klein: she's huge...

???: I am Urd, the Queen of the Lake. You fairies who have formed a bond with my servants...My two younger sisters and I have a request for you. Please save this land from the frost giants.

Yui then flew up toward Kitsune and stand on the right side of his shoulder as he turns at
her.

Yui: Papa, that's an NPC... But something's strange. She isn't using the set response routines, like normal NPC's. She's connected to a language-engine module that's near the core program.

Kitsune: so she's AI then?

Yui: That's right, Papa.

Urd: Once, Jotunheimr was like ALfheim. It enjoyed the blessings of the World Tree, Yggdrasil, and was covered in beautiful water and greenery. We, the hill giants, and our servants, the animals, lived in peace. Below Jotunheimr is the land of frost, Niflheim. The King of the Frost Giants who rules that land, Thrym, snuck into this realm and cast two Excaliber. The first Excaliber is the 'sword which cuts all trees and iron,' and the second Excaliber is the sword that famous for its destructive power. The king cast two
Excaliber into the Uror's lake, at the center of the world. The swords cut the deepest root of the World Tree and when it did, Jotunheimr was cut off from Yggdrasil's bounties.

Kitsune: Niflheim is land of the fog, though.

Xenophanse: it seems that devs and the author have not did their research upon working this game/arc.

She then raises her left hand as it shows an image of Excalibur dropping into Uror's lake, thus freezing the lake and later, levitate the whole land before raising it up to the skies.

Kirito: So...that's the Excaliburs?

Urd: Thrym's frost giants attacked Jotuheimr, from Niflheim, en masse, building many fortresses and castles, and capturing and imprisoning us, the hill giants. They built a castle, Thrymheim, on the massive block of ice that used to be the lake of Urd, and they now rule this land. My two sisters and I escaped to the bottom of a frozen lake, but we lack the power we once had. The frost giants are not satisfied, however, and they are trying to kill all our servants, the animals, that live in this land. If they succeed, our power will vanish, and they will be able to elevate Thrymheim to Alfheim's surface.

Klein: W-What? If they do that, it will destroy the town of Arun!

Urd: King Thrym desires to cover Alfheim in snow and rise to the top of the World Tree, Yggdrasil. He desires the golden apple said to grow there. Thrym and his generals have grown upset at their inability to slay my servants, and have begun to ask for the help of your fairies. He offers Excaliber as a prize, and his goal is to have my servants annihilated. But King Thrym has no intention of giving those swords to anyone. When Excaliber vanishes from Thrymheim, Yggdrasil's bounties will return to this land, and that castle will melt and fall.

Lizbeth: Eh? T-Then it's a lie that Excalibur is the quest reward? Can you have a quest like that?

Kirito: If anyone did complete annihilating all of the servants, he would give a fake Excalibur as the reward. Is that right?

Urd: Yes, it is true. Thyrm will bestow the false sword, Caliburn, which looks identical to Excalibur's.

Kitsune: in reality Caliburn is the sword in the stone, shattered and reforged as Excalibur. HOW DID REKI FUCKED UP THIS ONE!? I DON'T KNOW ANYMORE!!

Leafa: That's cheating! Is a King allowed to do that?

Urd: "That cheating" is King Thrym's most potent weapon. But he has made one mistake.
He sent most of his frost giants down from Thrymheim, to assist the fairy warriors. That castle's defenses are weaker than they've ever been.

Kirito: I see...

Urd then raises her right hand as a greenish light appears over her fingertips and floated towards the party. Before long, the light burst, forming into an object -a necklace of some sort with a stone pendant.

Urd: When this stone turns completely dark, it signals that my servants all lie slain and my power is gone. Fairies, infiltrate Thrymheim and draw Excaliber forth from its pedestal.

A window saying, 'Quest Accepted' then appeared above her head.

[Holy Sword of the Frozen Palace]

Urd: I am counting on you, fairies. Please help this land.

Urd then disappeared and Tonky continues to fly toward the upside-down pyramid place or known as Thryheim.

Asuna: This has turned into a really big deal.

Sinon: This... is a normal quest, right?

She said while glancing at Silica who is standing next to her.

Sinon: But the scale seems a little too big for that. Didn't she say something about if all bestial Tyrants are wiped out, frost giants will invade the surface?

Kirito: She sure did.

Kitsune: if the GMs would do something like that with no update or warning. Normally, you'd have at least the week's notice.

Leafa: But we must do it for Tonky's sake.
Right, Kitsune, Onii-chan?

Leafa said as she holding onto the stone pendant in her right hand and the two nodded at her in agreement.

Kitsune: That's right.

Kirito: Yeah. The reason we came here today was to enter that castle and get Excalibur. If it isn't as heavily guarded, that's exactly what we want.

Just as Kirito finishes, he opens his menu before another sheath appeared next to the other one. Klein then unsheathed his katana blade and lifting it up.

Kitsune: I don't see why we have to waste a chance to experience this kind of one-of-a-kind quest.

Everyone smiles and puts their weapon together.

Everyone: Yeah!

Everyone shouted out loud as Tonky moves closer towards the giant doors leading inside the Thrymheim.

Turning to Tonky, Leafa pat her hands over his head as they and others looked on at the giant doors awaiting them.

Leafa: Just wait, Tonky. We're definitely going to save your country.

Kitsune: Let's go, let's get the party started!!
