After a few seconds, the lights were turned off. Everyone couldn't see as the actual Yami got out of the portal whole the clone vanished. The lights turned back on.

When he looked around, he saw the nurse appointed to guard him and Kazuto. Aki, and three of his girlfriends. Sachi, Asuna, and Suguha along with his adopted daughter, Yui there. As soon as he awake, they immediately hugged him with a bit of tear in their eyes.

Sachi, Asuna and Suguha: Yami!!

Yui: Papa!

Yami, then hugged them back with a smile.

Yami: Hey, everyone. What are you doing here?

Then they pulled away from hugged as Sachi, Asuna and Suguha looked at him with a worried and angry look.

Asuna: What else? Of course, we worried about you, you big idiot!

Suguha: Why you didn't tell us that Laughing Coffin was involved? If we know, we would help you!!

Sachi: we could've helped you deal with them!!

Yami: I would be risking you girls in the crossfire even if you deal Death Gun you would be dealing my older brother Adam who is much more stronger than Death Gun by miles.

They look at him and smile at his protective side towards them.

Yui: Of course, we're not mad at you, Papa.
We just worried about you.*looks at readers* stop calling me that you weirdos!!

Yami smile and patted her daughter, Yui on the head as she smiles, misses her father's hand on her head.

Yami: Alright. I'll tell you all anything next time. Oh how's Kazuto?

Kazuto: yeah I'm fine, Yami.

He then remembers Sinon and worries about her safety. Then he remembers the event.

Yami: shit!! That bastard!!

After getting his barings back, he dresses into his red coat, he then looked at Aki.

Yami: Aki contract Kikuoka and tell him to send law enforcement to this location.

Aki: Okay. But, why?

Yami: Please, I don't have time! Just do it!

Yami then started to head for the door.

Asuna: Where are you going, Yami?!

Yami: sorry!! Can't explain now!!

Yami then left the room and headed downstairs and blasted towards the sky. He then started to fly head straight toward Shino's apartment according to her.

Yami: Sinon... I know you told me not to come. I have to deal with him and not have the timeline fucked up!!

He said in his mind as he can't help but still feeling unsure of Sinon's safety as he continued to fly through the streets. Each second is precious.

After a few minutes of flying, Yami finally reached Shino's address and it was an apartment.

Yami: Look like this is the place.

Yami then landed on the ground and started to head to Shino's apartment.

Yami: Where? Where is it?

As Yami was looking for Shino's room number, he then heard a girl scream coming from the door down at the end and his eyes widened.

Yami: Shino!

Yami then ran to the door where he heard the screaming and as he got closer, he heard someone screaming Shino's last name and when he opened the door, he saw a boy on top of Shino, pinning her down. Without a second thought, Yami ran up and kneed him in the
face.

Yami: Go!! Get out here!!

Shino then looked back and saw that the person has white hair and blue eyes. This person was none other than Yami or Kitsune that saved her. She looked completely shocked and surprised to see him again.

Shino: Yami...

As Yami block Shinkawa from getting near Shino, Shinkawa looked at Yami with a furious look.

Shinkawa: Wh-What the hell are you doing?

Yami: What else. I'm protecting my girlfriend from a crazy pervert like you!!

Shinkawa: Y-You!! YOU TAKEN HER FROM ME!!

Shinkawa gripped both of his fists in anger.

Yami: yeah got a problem, you freak!?

Shinkawa: I'm gonna make you pay!!

Yami: Tell me who sent you here? I'm you're not a member of Laughing Coffin. So, tell me who sent you here, boy?

Shinkawa: I-I don't want to hear anything from you! Go away! I'll get my Asada-san back and away from me!

Shinkawa charges forward at Yami as Shino looked at Yami worried he might hurt himself because of protecting her.

Shino: Yami!!

Shinkawa then makes a fist aim at Yami's head but Yami evading the blow to his head by moving his head to the side. Yamj countered by kneeing his opponent's stomach before elbowing the back, causing Shinkawa to cough out blood. Shinkawa steps back and was staggering to stand up.

Yami: Answer me. Who sent you? Is it perhaps your brother, Red-Eyed Xaxa? One of the killers of SAO?

He questioned before seeing Shinkawa glaring up at him, causing him to smirk.

Yami: Checkmate.

After that, he sees Shinkawa pulling out a syringe from his pocket and his smirk turns to a frown. A grin spread across Shinkawa's face as he charges forward with the syringe in his hand.

Yami: You'd think you're so high and mighty when you have that? I got news for you, boy.
You don't. YOU'RE A WEAK LITTLE SHIT LIKE YOUR BROTHER!!

Yami stated seriously before he sees the syringe and swiftly slaps Shinkawa's wrist with his right hand, causing Shinkawa to unintentionally let go of his hold over it. The syringe bounces off Shino's bed as it landed.

Shinkawa: dammit!!

Then Shinkawa turns back to look at the Yami who Then half of his hollow mask formed as this freaked out Shinkawa. Before he stops and was sent flying back by a punch to his face courtesy of Yami When Shinkawa landed on the ground, he fell unconscious soon after.

Shino: H-He fell unconscious? Just by a punch?

She said in her mind with impressed looks towards Yami. She then saw him picks up the syringe and pocketed it in his pouch.

Shino: He's really strong...

She sees the hollow mask vanished.

Shino: what was that?

Yami: it's my hollow mask, it boost my abilities for a moment.

The mask starts to vanished, She was in amazement at Yami strength as her heart flutter. Almost everyone that she had met never did anything to her and likely protect her. Yet, this guy who she dating now who is also an Observer, a god that she's dating.

He put his own life to protect her, the girl who just happened to cross paths with him. Yami's action is giving her enough reason to believe in him as she can't help but fall for this guy.

She looks over at Yami who stood over
Shinkawa's body and started inspecting his pockets. When Yami did not find anything, he steps away and turns around towards Shino.
He approaches her and smiles at Shino.

Yami: Hey. Got here a bit faster.

Shino: It's alright. By the way, are you alright?

Yami: Yeah, I'm fine. That boy can try 50,000 times but he'll still fail, he's trash even then that's an insult to trash

Shino stifled a laugh at Yami's action to sound cool as she crakes a smile as he smiles back at her. She then glances over at Shinkawa's unconscious body.

Shino: Is he... fine?

Yami: Don't worry, he's gonna be alright. He got knocked off, that's all.

Shino looked at him and nods briefly. Then, Shino exhaled a deep breath before smiling at him.

Shino: Anyway, thanks for coming.

Yami: You're welcome, Shino. Are you hurt?

Shino just looked down and shook her head as tears started to form in the corner of her eyes.
Yami then scouted over to Shino and said to
her.

Yami: It's alright now, Shino. Didn't I promise you that I gonna protect you? So don't worry. I'll stay by your side...

He comforted as he hugs Shino by the shoulder as she silently cries after hearing his words. He just stroke the back of Shino's head to calm her down.

Several days later...

Shino: Don't call me here and keep me waiting.

She said sitting over the ledge of the small garden behind her as she looks over at Endou and her friends arriving. Shino stands up as one of Endou's friends' smiles.

Endou's Friend # 1: Asada, you've been a little cocky lately, haven't you?

Endou's Friend #2: Yeah, it's a bit much, isn't it?

Endou: It's fine. We're friends. But of course, if we're in trouble, you'll help us, right? For now, 20, 000 yen would be enough. Lend it to me.

Endou said before watching Shino removing her glasses.

Shino: I told you before. I'm not lending you any money.

Endou: I seriously did get it from my brother
today.

Shino: Do what you want.

Shino said as Endou pulled a model gun from her bag and pointed it at Shino who freezes at the gun before she calms down.

Endou: He told me to make sure I never pointed it at anyone... But you're fine, aren't you? You're used to it. Now cry. Kneel and apologize!

Endou said before pulling the trigger but the bullet did not come out.

Endou: Wh-What's with this thing?

She asked as her friends look at her trying to know why the model gun did not work.

Suddenly, Shino comes forward, grasping Endou's wrist hard, and successfully takes the model gun away from her hands. Shino then looks down at the gun.

Shino: A Government 1911, huh? Your brother has good taste. Not my type of weapon but a good start. Most guns require you to take the safety off first, like so.

Shino said switching the safety off, surprising Endou's friends before she pointed the gun at a can standing on top of a bucket.

She took a deep breath before she shoots the plastic bullet over the can, knocking it off the bucket. She lets down the gun with a sigh before turning to Endou.

Endou: C-Crap...

Shino: you know it's dangerous to point guns at anyone.

Shino reminded them before she switched on the safety of the gun and gives it back to Endou by grabbing her hand and putting the model inside.

Shino: Here you go.

Shino said before retreating, taking her school bag, and walks away while Endou fell on her knees, shocked.

Endou's Friend # 1: Are you alright?

Endou's Friend #2: Endou?

Endou's friends asked as they looked over Endou's shaken state.

Shino: Bye, have a nice day.

Shino bid towards them as she left while the three watches her leave. When Shino was out of sight, Shino put her hand over the school building wall and breathed in deep.

Shino: ...well this is my first step.

She said before pulling away from her hand from the wall and proceeded to walk away.

Just as Shino nears the school entrance, she was astounded to look at the many students gathering over at the school gates. She watches as one of her classmates notices her and walked towards her.

Girl # 1: Asada! You won't believe who is here!

She said to Shino who looks at her in slight confusion before she looks at the white hair poking out from the many students gathered around.

Her eyes widen as she watches Yami smiling at the students while he signed the autographed students' books and gotten photographs. But when Yami finished autographing all of them, he looks forward to laying his eyes against Shino's, surprising her.

Yami: Excuse me.

He excused everyone before he walks away and opting to walk towards Shino. Shino's classmate gasped at Yami approaching her.

Yami: What a nice day, right? Shino?

He said with a smile at Shino who looks at him, reminded of his features as Kitsune which causes her to smile and slightly blush.

Shino: Y-Yeah.

She then takes Yami by the arms and leads him outside of the school, away from everyone in the school. As they arrived at Yami's car, Shino let go of Yami's arm and looked at him with an annoyed look.

Shino: Hey! I know we talked about the meeting up, but why pick such a conspicuous
spot?

Yami: Sorry, sorry my bad. As soon as I arrived here, they suddenly surround me, giving me no chance to hide.

Shino then looked at him, jealous and embarrassed at this as everyone around them started to comment about her being Yami's girlfriend. Well, Shino was actually happy hearing that comment.

(Time Skip Location: Ginza)

After picking up Shino from school, Yami went to the same restaurant from before to meet up with Kikuoka and Kazuto there. As he arrived there, they order their drink as Kazuto sits beside Kikuoka and Shino sit beside Yami on the opposite of them.

After their order arrived, Yami and Kazuto then started to tell their report to Kikuoka about the incident.

Yami(narrator): Soon after that incident, Shinkawa Kyouji, and his brother Shouichi, were arrested, and the existence of a third conspirator became evident from Shouichi's testimony. The third Death Gun, Kanamoto Atsushi, remains on the run, but Kikuoka says it's only a matter of time before he's caught. "Death Gun" came to be when Shouichi purchased a mantle that could turn him invisible in-game, via a real-money transaction. Using that mantle and binoculars, Shouichi became obsessed with stealing other player's information. Meanwhile, his younger brother, Kyouji, had trouble developing his character's build. As an agility type, Spiegel held a deep-rooted hatred for XeXeeD, who promoted the idea that agility types were the strongest despite having switched to strength-and-vitality build himself. Upon hearing this, Shouichi gave XeXeeD's real name and address to Kyouj1, and they discussed the best way to make him pay.

Kazuto: Even so, they claim they weren't serious about it at first. But over days of deliberation, the plan grew increasingly plausible, and at last, they conspired to steal a master keycard instead for emergency use and a lethal drug from their father's hospital. They meticulously researched targets and narrowed the list down to people who lived alone in places with weak security. Shouichi broke into the home of the first victim, XeXeeD's, whose real name was Shigemura using the master keycard. He murdered Shigemura at the prearranged time, waiting for Kyouji to log in using his "Sterben" character, proclaim himself to be "Death Gun", and shoot XeXeeD. The second victim, Lightly Salted Roe, was murdered similarly. But far from fearing Death Gun, GO players laughed at the concept off as mere rumor. Frustrated with the reaction, Shouichi and Kyouji plotted a scheme to murder three people during the BoB. Their target, who all fit the same criteria XeXeeD and Roe did, were Pale Rider, Garrett, and Sinon.

After both finished giving their reports, they started to give their opinion on this matter started with Kazuto.

Kazuto: But they weren't set up to kill multiple at the same time.

Kikuoka: Indeed. An accomplice had to infiltrate each target's home and match Death Gun's timing.

Yami: That's where Kanamoto came in and became the third "Death Gun", I suppose.

Kikuoka: You could say Kanamoto was an old friend of Shouichi's. Actually, they were members of the same guild in SAO. His character name was Johnny Black. Ring any bells?

Yami: no because holding on to your past, you'll miss on your own future because your past is holding you back. I would agree on some parts because if I haven't been trapped then I wouldn't meet the people who I'm together with today.

Kazuto: That's true. There are things I want to forget in SAO and there is something I grateful for when I was trapped.

He looks away as he blushes while Yami chuckles.

Kikuoka: Do you ever think you want to go back?

Yami: Who knows.

Shino: Um, Yami...That's different from what you said before. You said there's no such thing as a virtual world. That wherever you are is reality. Right now, the world I'm in this world is my only reality.

She looked down at her hand but then Yami grabbed her hand and intertwined their hand together as Kazuto did the same. She looked over and saw Yami smile at her. She smiles back and spoke up.

Shino: Even if this were a virtual world, I'd believe it still be the reality to me.

Yami: Yeah. You're right.

Kazuto: What Sinon said just now might be the one truth of any worth in this whole thing.

Shino then looked at Kazuto with an annoyed look.

Shino: Don't tease me!! You did the same like I did just now!!

Kazuto: don't know what you're talking about...

Shino: anyways, what's going to happened with Kyouji?

Kikuoka: From the way they act and what they say, they're likely to be sent to a medical reformatory. Those two don't actually have a
"reality" sort to speak.

Shino: No. I don't think that's true.

Kikuoka: Huh?

Shino: I don't know anything about his brother, but to Kyouji, reality was inside Gun Gale Online. He abandoned everything in the actual world and decided that GGO would be his reality. He did hours of painful and boring grinding for experience every day, trying to be the best. I'm sure he was under a ton of stress.

Kikuoka: Stress in a game? But isn't that confusion of reality what a game is supposed to accomplish?

Shino: Yes, I think Kyouji got this world and that one mix up.

Kikuoka: But why?

Shino: That's something I'd also like to know. Yami do you know why?

Yami: he wanted to get stronger.

Shino: Yes, I was that way. Maybe every virtual MMO player is the same way. They just want to be stronger.

She looks down before turning her head towards Kikuoka.

Shino: Kikuoka-san, I'm going to see him. I'd like to see him and tell him what I've thought so far, and what I think now.

Kikuoka nodded his head at Shino's request.

Yami: Send it to me too. Even though what he did is wrong, everyone deserves a second chance but people have to be careful as people can abuse it.

Kikuoka: Alright. I'm sorry, but I have to go.

He said as he looks down at his watch. Kikuoka then stands up from his seat.

Kikuoka: Oh, right, Yami... Death Gun...
No, Red-Eyed XaXa, AKA Shinkawa Shouichi, gave me a message for you. Of course, you have no responsibility to hear it.

He said as he pulled out a brown envelope from his suit. Shinkawa Shouichi, that is-asked me to pass along a message.

Kikuoka: What will you do?

Yami looked over at Kazuto and then at Shino and looked back at Kikuoka.

Yami: I'll hear it.

Kikuoka: Okay then...

Kikuoka said as he pulled out the note inside the envelope.

Kikuoka: "This isn't the end. You don't have the power to end it. You will be made to realize this soon. It's showtime". That is all.

Yami didn't say anything, he just smirks of how dumb Shouichi is and doesn't understand how strong he can be.

Yami: he's nothing but another weakling.

He look outside of the window while in thought. After that, they got out of the restaurant after paying the bill, and currently, they stood outside the cafe and Kikuoka waved his arm to say goodbye. Yami and Kazuto waved back while Shino bowed to him to thank him for his treatment. Yami then turns to look at Shino.

Yami: Um, Shino?

Shino: What?

Yami: Are you free after this?

Shino: I don't really have any plans?

(Time-Skip, Dicey Cafe)

Shino: Is this where you wanted to take me?
Shino asked as she climbed off Yami's car and looked upon the building in front of her.

Yami: yeah, there's someone I wanted to introduce you to.

He said as he leads Shino towards the front door with Kazuto behind them. As they walked in, they saw that Rika, Asuna, and Sachi were all sitting at the bar and Agil was behind the counter as usual.

Rika: You're late. While I was waiting, I ate two pieces of apple pie. If I get fat, it's your fault, okay?

Yami then laughed a bit at Rika's logic.

Yami: slow down with the sweets, Rika.

Then they proceed to walk inside the bar as
Kazuto then went to take a seat beside Sachi.

Asuna: Hurry up and introduce her, Yami.

Yami: Right. This is the third champion of Gun Gale Online, Sinon, AKA Asada Shino-san.
Shino: S-Stop that.

Shino said with a blushed and embarrassed face. Asuna and Rika notice this, look at Yami with a jealous look and that got him to flinch a bit.

Yami: And these are my friends from SAO.

He then points his finger at Rika and spoke.

Yami: her name is Lisbeth, AKA Shinozaki
Rika, the bootleg blacksmith.

Rika: What did you say?

She got up from her seat and went to hit Yami, he just moved out of the way as Rika tripped but Yami catches her as he winks at her causing to blush.

Yami: then points at Asuna and said.

Yami: And that's the berserk healer, The Lightning Flash Asuna, AKA Yuuki Asuna.

Asuna: T-That's mean...

Yami: That tall bald man go by many names Mountain slayer thunder lion chocolate Axe but you can call him.Tiffany. He's shopkeeper, so call him Agil, or Andrew Mills.

Andrew: Hey, man!

Yami: And you already know Kirito, my boyfriend. His real name is Kirigaya Kazuto or known as edge lord.

Kazuto: I'm not Edge lord!

Yami: What? It's cool, right? Better than trap edge lord. No how about Night Sky Blade? No? Too soon?

He was about to protest but just sighed and give up as Sachi patted him on the back to comfort him.

Yami: Beside him is my first girlfriend, Sachi.

Sachi: nice to meet you Shino.

Yami: finally the singer Yuuna, my other girlfriends.

Yuuna: it's great to meet another girlfriend of Yami.

Shino: you're all sharing him!?

Sachi: yes, he's gentle with all of us.

After finished introducing everyone, Yami then looked at Shino and saw she looked nervous.

Everyone then sat down at a table and
Andrew gave them all drinks and they started to talk about Death Gun's name.

Shino: Sterben... It wasn't "Steven", was it? A word used by hospitals for "death"..... I wonder what he was thinking when he named himself that...

Asuna: It's better not to look for more meaning than there is a name. You'll lose sight of a lot more than you notice.

Rika: Ooh, pretty smart. Coming from someone who uses their real name for their character, it sounds persuasive...

Asuna then elbowed Rika on her comments as it offended her.

Shino looked at them with a smile. When everyone looks at her smiling, she looks away from them.

Rika: Anyway, I'm happy to meet another female VRMMO player in real life.

Asuna: Yeah! I hope we can be friends, Asada-san.*whisper* welcome to the harem.

Shino: what what?

Sachi: That's a good idea, Asuna.

Shino then looked down and everyone looks at her. Yami then looked at the others and they nodded.

Asuna: Listen, Asada...Shino.

There's another reason we asked you to come here today.

Shino: Another reason?

Yami: Shino, let me apologize to you first.

Yami: then slightly bowed his head at Shino then look up at her.

Yami: I told them about what happened to you in the past. It was because I had to get their
help.

Shino looked at Yami completely shocked and she looked back at everyone else.

Sachi: Shino-san, we actually went to the town where you used to live.

Shino looked at Yami hurt that he told them her secret.

Shino: Why did you..

Shino then went to get up, but Yami grabbed her hand and she looked at him.

Yami: Shino, I told them because I thought you hadn't met the person you needed to meet or heard the words you needed to hear. I know it's going to hurt, and I'm so sorry, but I couldn't just ignore you.

Shino: Someone I need to meet? Words that I need to hear?

Shino asked which Yami nodded in confirmed before he lightly turns his head, looking at Rika who stood up from her seat and begin walking towards the door at the far sight of the bar.

Shino watches as Rika proceeded to open the door and heard Rika said something incoherent. Then Rika gestured her hand behind her as a woman and her daughter walked inside the bar and sat down on the seats of one of the nearby tables.

The woman bows down her head which her daughter soon followed.

Shino: Um, who are you?

Shino asked the woman who looked up.
Sachie: Hello. You're Asada Shino, right? My name is Oosawa Sachie. This is Mizue. She's four.

The woman by the name Sachie introduced herself and her daughter who smiles when she finishes.

Sachie: Before she was born, I worked at the post office.

Sachie stated as Shino looked at her whilst simultaneously visioning back to the past where the killer had pointed his gun first at the female worker in the post office. A look of realization fell upon Shino as she looked at Sachie.

Sachie: I'm sorry. I'm sorry, Shino.

Sachie begins apologizing as tears started registering at the corner of her eyes.

Sachie: I should have come to see you sooner.
I never apologized or thanked you.

She said brushing away the tears starting to fall while Mizue watches her mother before she smiles at her mother's hand tenderly stroking her head to calm her down for a bit.

Sachie: When it happened, I was pregnant with her. So, Shino-san, you not only saved my life but hers, as well.

Sachie let down her hand from her daughter's head.

Sachie: Thank you... Thank you so much.
Thank you.

Sachie bows down her head respectively followed by Mizue who cutely bows her head.

Shino: Saved your life?

Shino mutters with a look of disbelief.

Yami: Sinon, you've always blamed yourself like this.

Yami spoke up as Shino turned to him.

Yami: You've been tried to punish yourself. I won't say that that's wrong. But at the same time, you have the right to think about the lives you saved. You have the right to think about them and forgive yourself. I want you... I want...

Yami tried to continue his words but cannot as he clenched his fist as Kazuto looked at his boyfriend and continue his words.

Kazuto: What Yami was trying to say is, we want you to be happy.

Sachi: Yes, Shino-san. Everyone must be happy even you.

Shino looked at them before turning to Mizue who climb off the chair and stood in front of her. Mizue then opens her bag and rummage through before pulling out a folded paper.
Unraveling the folded paper, she showed it to Shino who looks down at the paper specifically addressed to her. The paper shown was a family of three; Mizue's father, mother, and herself.

Then, Shino watched as Mizue lifted up the paper towards her to take. With that, Shino took the paper and Mizue started speaking.

Mizue: Shino onee-san, thanks for saving Okaa-san and me!

As Shino grabbed the sides of the drawn paper, everyone could see tears falling down and stained the sides of said paper. They all looked at Shino who was shedding tears down her cheeks which fell to the paper and floor.

Sinon smiles at them as she let go of her Hecate II and walks toward them with her hand intertwining with Yami hands.

Sinon: I feel more happy.

As both Sachie and her daughter Mizue has completely left the cafe a portal opened.

Yami: huh!?

Then it starts to pull Yami to the portal Sachi grabbed his hand.

Yami: what the hell is going on here!?

Agil: everyone help Sachi!!

Them everyone start to help Sachi to pull Yami away from the portal but the force was too much and his hand slipped.

Sachi: Yami!!

Yami: WHAT'S GOING ON HERE!?

He was pulled in as the portal closes everyone was slient.

Sachi: Yami no...oh god what have I've done?
