"That's what I have been trying tell you Mr.Malhotra..! Chief Raizada this device as Miss.Sayesha says is controlled by a remote and it gives her electric shocks Whenever that button is pressed...so we've been trying to safely pry that device off her ankle from the past hour...!" Inspector Dharmalingam explained as they all were stunned hearing about it and worriedly looked at their kids

"Is thi- this 🪚 Saw the only way to take it out!? I don't want her to get injured..." Raahil said

"Sir they're trained officer...and I assure you they'll be as gentle as possible!" He tried his best to reassure the parents...Sayeshà held her dadda's hands in fear

"I'm right here with you Wolfie... we'll get this out safely...Even your papa will be here...it'll be alright!" He spoke gently Asking her to sit down on the chair as he knelt beside her and held her hand...Raahil stood behind her...and caressed her hairs...Divya was right at her feet constantly trying scrutinize how the officers are handling her daughter...after an hour long struggle and plenty of squirming and crying...the device was pried off...as they all gasped...Her feet seemed to be slightly crooked

"H- how did this-"

"I fell and broke my leg in a fight...somedays later it was like this...it's not bad...dadda!" Sayeshà casually replied

"Ayu baccha...this isn't normal... we're going to the doctor and we're getting you both some treatment...so please officers I need to take my children...the paper works can be done later!" Raahil sternly said although his words were like a request, his tone was that of finality... Viren's gasp alarmed them again as they followed his gaze and noticed that shayra was missing two of her toes on her right leg

"H-how did-th- this happen?" Raahil stuttered in disbelief as Divya cried out seeing her daughter's injury and hugged her...shayra stood there unable to understand how to respond

"We need to go to the hospital right now!" Viren said

"I can understand your concerns sir...But we would like to perform a rape kit for both the girls-"

"Aahil what are they-"

"Divi please understand my love...it's a standard procedure!" Raahil told his wife as she held Shayra and Sayesha closer

"The-they're babies they don't have to be put through such cruel tests please aahil" divya's voice trembled as The kids cluelessly watched not knowing what they were talking about

"Bhabhi! If you start crying like this...the kids will be scared of it...we have to be strong for their sake and it is important for the whole investigation!" Viren told

"What are you insinuating...that my kids are-" Divya couldn't even complete the whole sentence before breaking down as Sayeshà also started getting a little worried trying to ask what was wrong and wiping away her mother's tears...Shayra was neither reacting nor did she shift in her place...she was engulfed in a hug and she stayed still in it, not trying to participate in the conversation as much as sayeshà did...after much convincing from the officers Divya gave in and they all went to the hospital...Sayeshà and Shayra were taken to different rooms for the Rape kit...none of the parents were allowed anywhere near the room

Sayeshà had a male doctor and his junior doctor perform the test whilst surrounded by 2 other female nurses...But it was a different scenario for shayra...Her breath stopped the moment she walked into the room filled with 2 male nurses, 2 female doctors, one of them was the same doctor who treated her during her times at that awful place... Shayra's heart raced and her breath ragged...she subconsciously stepped back and by mistake hit the wall...as the nurses panic trying to calm the child...the doctor only smirked

"Nurses please leave the room...the child might be intimidated by your presence!" The female doctor said

"But doctor Sheetal-"

"I can manage...My intern is with me...we can surely handle the scared child...plus she would connect with us and feel safe around us women!" Sheetal said...the male nurses complied to her command and walked out leaving sheetal , the intern doctor and shayra alone...shayra didn't dare move from her place

"Oh poor thing is still so scared...let me take her for a walk...you stay here...I'll take her to have some fresh air so that she calms down!" Sheetal said and pulled shayra by her upper arm with her towards the third floor of the hospital... walking through the empty floor which was dedicated to operations...shayra walked with her in silence, complying with whatever she did...Sheetal looked at her with a sly smile and knew she was scared

"So the disgusting mute whore has guts to run away from her master huh?" Sheetal said as shayra froze mid-stride

"Why did you come in here? Did you want to get me arrested? You did, didn't you?" Sheetal laughed...as she led her to a glass window where she could see inside the door where the Rape kit was being performed on her sister

"Look at all those men...they all listen to me...if I say one word... they'll do to your sister, the same thing those men did to you back in the..." Sheetal trailed off mockingly...Shayra visibly paled in fear and shook her head indicating 'No' but sheetal only threw her head back and laughed

"Oh you're scared already?huh? Come come lets go somewhere else now!" Sheetal forcefully pulled her to gallery from where she could spot her parents sitting in the lobby

"Oh would you look at that...? Your parents...Feels so nice to be back,huh? Well what if this comfort is lost forever?" Sheetal questioned and her ominous tone sent chills down shayra's spine

"Do you see those men dressed as the doctors standing right opposite your parents? Those are my men! If I signal them now...your parents...they will be murdered! They will be forever gone!" Sheetal laughed as shayra looked at them all in fear...she knelt down kissing her feet... trying to apologise as sheetal kicked her off with a disgusted expression... Shayra had tears rolling down her face

"Do you want to save them all?" Sheetal questioned.. shayra nodded in a yes

"Then never say a word about anything that happened there...You know I may be kind ..but master is not kind and so are his men... they're everywhere here...and everywhere you go you'll be watched so take your damn family and run away from here...and never speak a word of what happened to you or your sister there, if you want your family to be safe and not be killed off because of your stupidity!" Sheetal said as Shayra quickly agreed to her demands

"The police will ask you multiple questions... don't ever open your mouth...those men are watching you and they will come for your family and even the police can't do anything! If you don't believe me... remember how the police couldn't even trace you both for the past year or so...not even your own father could do it...nor could those bodyguards of yours save you, ofcourse they were killed for trying to protect you ...so do you want the same fate for the parents, who you claim to love so much?" Sheetal asked as shayra was now terrified and she agreed to not say a word to the police as She led shayra back to the room

"Hi there little one...I hope you've calmed down a bit! Can we try doing this?" The intern sweetly greeted as shayra was even more taken aback by  those sweet words unable to understand how to respond she froze in her place

"She's a shy little child..how about you bring some chocolate and cake slices from our break room for the kiddo...I'm sure it will help her trust you more!" Sheetal instructed as the intern hurriedly went to the break room to bring it leaving shayra alone with her

"Here take this medicine and apply it on your vagina...I'm sure there is no disease because I made sure to test and give you appropriate medicine back then...so this is for the mild injuries down there...apply it yourself I'm not touching your disgusting self!" Sheetal yelled throwing the medicine at her...she quickly tampered with the rape kit and pretended to wrap up just as the Intern walked in

"Doctor?" The intern was surprised to see her finishing so soon

"What? Anandi I know You're surprised I finished it soon...I had to..the kid was anxious and we can't delay the test anymore...So I did it without you I'm sorry, now I am going to prepare the reports how about you bathe the kid and apply medicine, patch her up?" Sheetal asked as the intern anandi agreed happily...she loved kids and her dream was to be the best pediatrics doctor

"Hi there little one...I brought you some came slices...!" She crouched down low trying to appear less intimidating shayra didn't respond she only glanced at her once and put her head down

" I'm Anandi..." She lowered her voice trying not to startle shayra she treaded closer..." you could call me...nandu didi.." she told smiling at her

"Here take these it's for you, I searched for chocolate but it wasn't there...I hope you can understand me?" She slowly gave those cake slices to shayra who hesitantly took her, looking at the intern in confusion

"what's your name baby?" Anandi asked but shayra didn't say a word

"Can you tell me something about yourself? What cake flavour do you like kiddo!? I got you vanilla and chocolate...do you also want pineapple one?" Anandi asked

"My name is anandi..I am a doctor here ...Can you tell me your name Baby?" She asked again  this time as shayra signed her name as the intern was confused and then it dawned on her

"Oh!?oh...I'm sorry i- i-uh..I didn't know you couldn't hear me or even talk!" Anandi stuttered out being flustered by the discovery...she apologized for not understanding sign language and took out a paper and pen then gave it to shayra

"What's your name ?" she wrote on the paper as shayra wrote her name

"Beautiful name!" she wrote and showed it to shayra who nodded with a wary expression...she asked permission to help her bathe by writing it on the paper as shayra happily complied going with her to the bathroom to get herself cleaned...Anandi meticulously cleaned her..gently cleaned her wounds, patched her up...applied medicines to all the places where there were bruising and took shayra to her parents

"Hello ma'am, hello sir...here's your shayra all patched up and fine...you don't have to worry anymore!" She cheerfully said

"How was she during the procedure...is she fine?" Divya anxiously asked as sayeshà stood with her

"Don't worry ma'am she is in the best hands...Dr.Sheetal here is the chief doctor, she handled it very well..she went to prepare the reports...and I kind off did it but couldn't communicate efficiently with your kid...I'm sorry it was my bad but I should have learned sign language for the sake of My differently abled patients...Shayra here has opened my eyes on how I could improvise and better understand those who can't communicate with words...and I will be forever' thankful to her! Also I am sorry for troubling her with my words when in actuality she couldn't hear me or understand me...poor baby couldn't even tell me that I was acting stupid...but I realised it all much later...I apologise for the distress Shayra" Anandi revealed as Divya stood there stunned ...Raahil and Viren were shocked as they walked closer

"What do you mean differently abled?" Viren questioned which came out rather rudely

"Sign language? Why do you have learn sign language to communicate with ayra...she's perfectly fine..she's not deaf nor is she mute! Doctor I am sure you have some misunderstanding!" Raahil spoke

"What? Bu- she didn't speak a word...and she- she never responded to my question.." Anandi spluttered

"She can't talk! She doesn't talk! She's mute!" Sayeshà spoke as the parents were shocked by her words as a chaos broke out with viren trying to get shayra to speak but she only cried being overwhelmed by everything as she eventually fainted because of excessive stress and frail health...that's when Both Ojaswini and Krishna too reached the hospital

They alerted the doctor nearby and shayra was taken for treatment...they all waited outside with an anxious expression
"Ayu? Baccha what's going on...? What happened? Why is ayra not speaking to anyone?" Raahil questioned sayeshà who just shrugged and said didn't know why but knew shayra was silent since last few months... she had lied straight through her teeth, not wanting to remember or reveal anything about the gruesome tortures...An hour later Shayra woke up..as the doctors assessed her condition and put her back to sleep with some mild doses of melatonin

As soon as they came out the anxious parents bombarded them with questions

"The kids need rest... would you like to rest, miss?" The doctor ignored everyone and asked sayeshà

"Yes! Can I go inside and sleep beside her?" Sayesha asked

"Definitely...but remember not to disturb your sister's sleep young lady!" He playfully said and sent her inside

"I have no words to describe what I have just witnessed... there's no way to sugar-coat this matter...even without the reports I can see the severe abuse the child has been put through...and sometimes...trauma can cause some children to loose their voice-"

"WHATT!?" Viren was shocked

"Please don't be worried sir it..may not be permanent in some cases...so we can try speech therapy for her to see if it can improve her voice and help her talk again but I can't guarantee it...She needs Therapy... infact seeing them both...my advise would be that they both need counseling and therapy...so I urge you to get in touch with some experts specifically Speech therapist and child psychiatrist who can help them overcome their trauma!" The doctor said

"And please be more careful how you handle the kids... they may be in a very sensitive mindset so please don't be harsh on them... give them their space and support them in times of needs because from here on things are not going to be easy...Not for the kids and not even for you... please remember that patience and at times giving space will help them in their healing journey...You can't be hovering over the kids 24/7...but be sure to always notice their behaviours... Although they don't communicate their feelings directly, their actions can tell you a lot about what they feel...!" The doctor said and patted Raahil's back with a empathetic smile and walked away...Tears streamed down Raahil's cheek as Viren hugged him sobbing.
Krishna and Ojaswini did their best to try and calm them all but Divya was inconsolable and cursed the man who kidnapped her children
