"Mother, why am I here in the first place?"

A young man dresses in his fairest of clothing, with his hair let down following him around. He paced forwards and backwards hoping, if he did it long enough. Everyone would disappear.

"Don't be like that Yi, I'm pretty sure that you're just nervous," said his mother, a lady who was so beautiful that she could have been mistaken for his sister.

Hou Yi's mother dusted the dirt from his clothing and gave him a sincere smile. Dear gods, not again. He hated when his mother gave him that smile. How could she smile when he felt like that one time he broke a vase. She turned him away and pushed him towards his chair. She ran her fingers through his hair before grabbing a brush to pull it up in his normal hair style.

"But, I don't understand why there are so many suitors here!" He fussed like a chair.

He was just sixteen, and he wasn't interested in marrying anyone. Maybe date, but not marry, it was so frustrating for him. Why was everyone, even the servants wanting to get him married!? Sure he refused to get married once he reached legal age but still! No one would leave him alone.

"We already talked about this," he mother said. "It's not like we can turn down every suitor. Most of them being in our league." Right, probably some really high in power or rich people... maybe even some demigods, if they had that bad of a parent reputation.

"I still hate it..." he muttered. He sometimes wishes he was never the son of Chang E. Even if he loved his mother very much. All the false rumors about her made things sour. To make things worse, the person he was named after. He looked at his own reflection."I still need to make him proud... live up to his name! To not disappoint anyone who matters! Im Hou Yi! I got this!'

"Done!" his mother proudly said before she left the room. "Yi... just go meet them? I bet Yama is one of your lucky suitors." Then she disappeared.

Yama? Was it the Yama? Oh no... what was he going to say to them!? He should have seen this coming! He started to panic. He totally forgot to tell his mother! Oh dear, will Yama be mad at him?!? He was the one who turned down their marriage proposal! Now he's supposed to get married! Maybe he needs to get married to someone else who isn't Yama! Yeah! That could work.

He jumped when he heard a knock on the door. "W-who is it?"

"Master Hou Yi, the time has come," said a voice, who he could assume was a servant.

"Uhhh," Quick! Think of something! "I'm only coming down if the suitors prove themselves." That could work, prove themselves in battle! "I-in battle."

There was silence before he heard footsteps descend. Oh thank the gods. He looked around, maybe he should leave...'I can't make him proud of I'm going to be a husband. Hell, even I get married to anyone else. I'm stuck...' he thought to himself. He looked at his bow and arrow that stuck out of his closet then he looked to the big green and blue planet. Earth... that's where he needed to go. Forget his old life, this life and start anew! Yeah that sounded like a plan, for now he needed to pack.

Hou Yi changed out his current clothes to something lighter. He grabbed a bag and started to put in a few of his belongings. Maybe a few coins wouldn't hurt right? Maybe they have the same currency as before? He was ready. He sneaked out of his window before leaving a note for Yama and his mother. He landed softly in the grass below and then he started to run. Run away. He made it to one of the vehicles of which most suitors brought to be here. Then he was off.

"Chang E, Master Hou Yi has run away!" Yelled a servant frantically.

Chang E and almost everyone froze in shock. Even yama stopped. Soon Chang E started to laugh. "Of course he did... silly boy," she said. Yama walked to the goddess before she turned him away. "No need to be alarmed, I'm sorry to bother everyone."

Yama spoke up, "But dear goddess, one of us where supposed to get his hand-"

"No need, It appears that my son decided to be a fool and run away. You all will be sent home with a fair amount of money, for all the time you have wasted here. Good day." was all she said before she left the room with the furious smile on her face.

He felt so free... he felt like an idiot, but he felt proud? But he regretted jumping off that dang cliff.

You see, once he arrived on earth, he caused some troubles, troubles that meant people chasing him and forced his hand to jump. Luckily he survived, saved by two idiots... Pap and Val were their names he believed. They were cat liked people. Dark haired and shorter than he was. They wore such strange clothing. Not like the elegant clothing he wore.

"So, what's your name?" The shortest one asked, who he assumed was Pap.

He stayed silent for a time before thinking. Maybe he should tell them? Get to know them perhaps? No, no? They did save his life... maybe his name wouldn't hurt? "The name is Hou Yi."

Pap tilted their head "Yi?"

"Hou Yi-" He tried to get them to say before he was tackled by them.

"You have a pretty name! Can I be your sister!? Oh and Val too."

"What?!?" he yelled, these people were crazy! He turned over to Val who had an expression of 'done with you'. "I hardly know you people!"

"Pleaseeee! You look so cool!"

"No!"

"But why!?!

The two bickered the entire time before they decided to set up camp. Sadly Hou Yi couldn't do much, since he always had servants do everything for him. He spent 30 minutes trying to set up his own tent before asking for help. Val had gladly led him to her tent and helped set it up. It was obvious that Pap and Val have slept under the stars... and the moon. No, he said he would forget that life. He took a glance at Pap and val. Pap was talking and Val was silent, though that didn't stop Pap from speaking.

"Then, the giant went Ka-boom!" she said as he waved her arms up. What a fool.

"Hey, why doesn't she talk?" He said bluntly. Pap froze up, and Val looked like he just said something wrong. Everything was tense.

"W-well, i don't think, we should tell you-"

"Oh? Why not? Is there something wrong with her?" The way he spoke made Val stare daggers at him. He had no idea what he did wrong.

"Guys... let's not fight..." Val scoffed about Yi. she went to HER tent and closed it tight.
"... you should apologize..." Pap said as she poked a stick in the flame. They stayed silent for a few minutes before they decided to put out the fire.

"I just don't understand? What did I do wrong?"

"Val lost her voice during an accident... I wont say anymore, just..." Pap said as she walked towards her tent. "Get some sleep bro" She smiled before leaving him in the dark of the night.

A week has passed and things are tense between them all. Though Pap and Yi talked about things, like colors, animals, water, and other basic things, he couldn't help but feel the glares on his back.

Apparently, there are different gods than where he's from. Gods that he never felt so fascinated by. He learned about Pap's and Val's mother, Bastet. Turns out, they were actually going to the egyptian realm to find their mother. To live a better life. While You told them of his life on the moon.

"So, do you like to breathe oxygen on the moon? Or do you breathe no oxygen Bro?" Pap said as they led the way up ahead skipping.

"Stop calling me that, and yes there is oxygen for us, just that you have to get to the moon the special way in order to breathe the oxygen." Yi explained.

"Anyways... Val? Bro? Do you need to say anything to each other?"

Val and Yi look at eachother, during the time they all got to know each other and the monster's fight they had. The trio had gotten closer.

"Look, i'm sorry that i acted rude...it's just different, i'm different from you all, but it doesn't excuse my actions... so i'm sorry" Yi apologized as he bowed to her.

"Val says, that's she's sorry too" Pap spoke for Val. The twins are strange, one glance and they know perfectly what the other said. Maybe he should be more like then too? What is he saying?

"We should be near the desert, you're almost home, aren't you excited little-" he said before he realized what he almost said. He looked at Pap and Val who were smirking at him. "Hold up-"

"You care for us bro!"

"No I do not!"

"You do! So what are you going to do once we reach home? Are you coming with us in the realm!?"

Yi was overwhelmed with questions. Maybe he should stick around? He took a glance at Val and Pap who waited for his answer. "Yes?" He could see Pap and Val jump in excitement."Just don't get excited too much... come on guys, lets go"
