Cortana's POV

As Y/n and I made back to base camp. Y/n has said a word after what just happened in forest for the rest of the way back.

It was awkward, after almost we got amplished by two enemies, but their attacks did nothing, so they fled.

Y/n didn't even follow them, he didn't even need to move that much of an inch.

And yet when they fled one still kept firing arrows nonstop and yet his arrows still didn't effect Y/n.

We didn't want talk about it, so we left it at that. It was quite on the rest of back. I try hard to find a way to change the subject.

At first nothing came to mind, so I kept on trying, until an idea appears to me, but it was not something that he may not want to even talk about, but it couldn't hurt to ask.

Cortana: "Hey Y/n"

Y/n: "Yes?"

We we're both inside base, we in a lab, and Y/n just got done a video log. Now that's something hes been practicing starting from today and it was something to help keep him insane for the next 6 months.

Cortana: "I wanted to ask you something, but I didn't know if you wanted to talk about it"

Y/n: "What is it?"

I look up at him with a nervous expression.

Cortana's mind: hope this works...

Cortana: What was it like here for you and your sister?"

When I said that he froze in silence. I felt awful for asking him and knew this wasn't a good idea.

Cortana's mind: I knew this was a bad idea...

Cortana: I'm so-

Y/n: OK I'll tell you...

I froze, he was going to talk about his sister for first time in probably forever.

Cortana: Are you sure because you don't have to talk about it if you don't want t-

Y/n: Yea it's fine...

Cortana: Ok

Y/n: ... Well Cortana life for me and my sister

FLASHBACK 5 years ago

Today was just like any other day here at hells gate. Quaritch just yelled at me for my training today.

I basically failed my training session with him today. The colonel was always hard on me for some reason but I try to not let him get to me.

Right now I'm in my room trying to brush off my terrible training session with him.

Trudy walks in after finding out what happened with training.

Trudy: hey little bro how you doing after what happened earlier?

I looks up at her and let out a small sigh.

Y/n: I can't believe I did that bad with his training session!

This only makes her smile more. She knew how to cheer me up, with her the older one she knew a thing or two on helping people.

She walks over to sits right next to Y/n and wrap her arm around his shoulders.

Trudy: hey, I know something that could help you forget about today .

I look up at her with confused look. What did she mean by that?

Y/n: What do you mean?

Trudy: Come with me and you'll see for yourself~

I got nervous after she said that.

She gets up and basically drags me by the hand out of the room. I didn't have any idea of where we were going.

We walked for a few minutes until we were at the landing bay where all the helicopters and scorpions were.

Y/n: Umm why are we here sis?

Trudy: don't worry we are almost there~

She doesn't even turn around when spoke but I could tell she was obviously smirking.

We kept on walking until she stops at one of helicopters. A Aerospatiale SA-2 that's what their call as I knew.

Trudy let's go of my hand then turns to face me.

Trudy: So, what do you think

I took a look at it up-and-down. It looks awesome but I still don't know why she brought me here.

Y/n: Nice ride

Trudy: Glad you like it, here put this on, and hope in.

She handed me a helmet then got inside, I put on and got inside. She was already fasten in and fasten my seat belts.

Y/n: So where are going now?

Trudy: We are going for a ride

She flicks a few switches then everything starts to power on. We slowly begin to lift up off the ground into the air then turn and flew out off Hells gate.

As soon as we were quite a few distance away from hell's gate. I was still wondering where we were going.

I got a little bored I decided to play us some tunes while we headed straight into the foggy sky.

Few minutes later

Trudy: Ok we are here now

I look up to see that we in the Hallelujah mountains.

Y/n: Why are we here?

Trudy: for me and my little to have bit of alone time..

She landed carefully down next to the shack that was mainly use for the avatar drivers.

When we fully landed we put on our exo mask before stepping out of the ship.

Looking over the edge to see that were high in the mountains. Seeing the legendary floating mountains of Pandora in person was breath taking for me especially for me.

Trudy was watching me awe over how amazing Pandora is causing her to smile.

Y/n: it's beautiful

Trudy: it's amazing

FLASHBACK ENDED

Y/n: And that's what life was like for me and my older sister

After hearing that, Cortana was shock to hear that about him and his sister. She realized that they had more of a stronger bond with the both of them.

Cortana: Wow!

Y/n: Yea, there weren't alot of times where we had time to spend with each other.

That was the sad part about their lives here. That they barely got the chance to even hangout with or even spoke to each other.

Cortana: That sounds like you and her were great friends, even though you're siblings.

Y/n: yea... we were

He then opens a drawer and pulls out something from the drawer and then closes it. I was wondering what it was and turns out that it was a photo.

Cortana: What's that???

He didn't respond to me cuz he was staring down at the photo in his hands. Slowly he turns it around to reveal who was in it.

Shockley, it was a photo of Trudy.

It was just a picture of her, he wasn't in it, it was only her. I was so shocked that I didn't realize that Y/n was crying at the photo.

Cortana: "Hey hey hey, It's ok"

Y/n:" IT'S ALL MY FAULT THAT SHE IS GONE!"

He didn't listen and continued to cry. I felt awful for him, he's all alone, has no-one to go to, nobody to hold him in their arms when he's at a breaking point.

He's not a soldier, he's not a scientist, he's not even a pilot, Or even an avatar driver, he's just a kid that has no one to turn to.

He has no one left to turn to expect me but I know one thing none of this is his fault.

Cortana: "No, it's not "

He slowly looks up at me. His face was beat red from crying to hard and from the looks of it he has been holding it for a while.

Y/n: "Yes i-it iiisss!"

Cortana: "No it isn't, none of that is your fault"

Y/n: "H-how can i-it nn-not?"

I am not gonna let him keep blaming himself over her death. I am not having it.

Cortana: "Her being gone has nothing to do with you none of that does "

Y/n: "But I-

Cortana: "NO Y/N! None of this is any of your fault if anything it's all because of Quaritch. He's the one to blame not you you didn't do nothing and she did not die of you"

He didn't say a word after that. His tears were now all dried up with his face still red.

Cortana: "You can't keep blaming yourself for something you did do and that's not what Trudy would had wanted.

He looks down at the photo again then turns his attention back to me.

Cortana: "I know that she would still want you to be here and that is a fact"

Y/n: ....

Cortana: "She may be gone but does not me isn't here she will always be with you"

Y/n: "Really?"

Cortana: "Yes, she will always be with you in your heart, even Grace will always be there for me"

Y/n wins away his dried up tears with a rag before coming up close to me.

Y/n: "Thank you Cortana" he slowly reaches out and wraps hand around my hologram body.

I smile, feeling glad that I made him feel better for himself. If anything ever happens I will be there for him hes not alone anymore he has me now.

Cortana: "Your welcome Chief"
