Staying at UA?
There were three people in the room. Two of them were adults.
"Izuku," Aizawa spoke, "This is Nezu. He is the principal of a school called UA."
Both teachers saw the recognition in Izuku's eyes.
"Oh, so you have heard of it?" Nezu asked.
"It's been a while. What does UA have to do with Eri? Will she be there?"
Izuku would always bring up Eri. It didn't matter what someone was trying to say. It was the only thing he could think about.
"If I may ask," Nezus beady eye's looking at Izuku, "What do you know of UA?"
"It's a school for Heroes. Everyone wants to go there when they are young."
Izuku glanced down at his legs. After he had tried to escape his legs felt like lead. His muscles aching.
He kept fidgeting, the sheets in his hands threatened to fray. He couldn't help it. The bear thing made him nervous. He looked like he could see right through him.
Shota made sure not to touch the metal on Izukus's bed when he leaned over looking at him from his chair, "Izuku. Please listen to me very carefully. Eri was very hurt and the doctors were able to save her life."
Izuku went still.
"We are going to take you to her, but she has fallen into a comma. We do not know how long it will take for her to wake up, or," Shota didn't finish.
"She will wake up. She is the strongest person I know. She has to wake up. Her quirk won't let her die." Izuku almost shouted.
Maybe to him, it was shouting. To the others, he finally reached a normal volume.
"Clam down kid. You are going to be able to see her."
"Concerning UA," Nezu spoke, "I have made arrangements for the school to harbor you for a time. You could call it a type of adoption. Unless you know or have any memories of your parents that we could use to find them.
"Overhaul is my Father." He said, with droned practice.
"Is he your real father?"
"No, but that doesn't matter. I don't share the same blood as Eri; she is my sister."
Now the two adults didn't know what to do.
"Izuku," a sigh from the taller one, "That is not the same. Do you have a last name by chance?"
"Yes?"
"And?" Both of them said.
"I don't see why that matters."
"I see what is happening here. You fear that if you tell us your last name you will be separated from Eri. By the change that you have anyone who is related to you, you know that we have to send you to them."
Izuku nodded.
"Very smart indeed. Well if that is your wish as of right now. I will stop looking into your past life and wait until you are ready to tell us."
Nezu pulled an object out of the bag he had.
"In due time we will be transferring you to UA, but I know how boring these places are, here you go kid."
Nezu handed him a cube.
"What is this?" Izuku asked.
"Try to put all the same colors on each of the sides of the cube. It's a puzzle. Eraserhead I would like to talk to you outside for a moment before I have to go."
They left the boy there looking at the cube.
Outside with the door closed, Nezu turned around and looked at Eraserhead.
They didn't say anything for a while.
"Eraser. I will give you a raise."
"What."
"I will give you a raise."
"What are you planning? I don't want it."
"You don't have a choice. After what you told me about the kid the other day, I don't want him to leave your sight after today. Don't worry I have set up a motion detector in his room right now so I will know if he moves."
Eraserhead just sighed.
"What about the night."
"I have already made preparations."
"What about my class?"
"I want him to interact with them. From now on you will have a shadow."
He sighed again.
"I'll take the pay raise."
Both walked back to the boy's room opened the door and saw the kid looking out the window, more of at the latches on the windows.
"I will be seeing you in a couple of days Izuku," Nezu said.
A smile was placed on his face as within the five minutes he was gone, the cube sat solved on the kid's lap.
Very interesting Indeed.
...
Izuku had one thing to look forward to. They told him that he would be able to see Eri the day they took him to UA. That was four days ago, and tomorrow would be the last day he would be there.
During those four days, he was only allowed to leave his room when Eraserhead was with him. And the only time Eraserhead would let him leave his room was when his Physical Therapy sessions were. He hated it. It was painful, hard, and made him tired. After the hour-long session, he could barely walk back to his room and once he was on the bed he would fall asleep.
One of the thigs they made him do was literally just stand on his toes repeatedly, going up and down.
He didn't talk to Shota much. And he liked that. Most of the time the man just worked on his computer.
The only time the man would really talk to him was when the gross food came and he would tell Izuku to eat it.
Right now Izuku was laying on the bed trying not to fall asleep after the last time they would make him do Physical Therapy.
"Are you tired?" Shota asked looking up from his computer.
"No," Izuku yawned, "I'm just happy. I get to see Eri tomorrow and I don't have to do the stupid Physical Therapy anymore because you are talking me somewhere else." There was an awkward moment of silence. It that moment Izuku started to panic, "I am seeing her? You told me I could see her."
"I don't go back on my word. You will be able to see her tomorrow." There was another moment of silence, "But you won't be stopping the physical therapy anytime soon"
This was almost comical for Shota.
"Oh. Why?"
"Physical Therapy is going to help you get stronger."
"I don't want to be stronger." Shota didn't ask in words but in his face. "I know how quirks work. If I get stronger so will my quirk. I don't want that."
"That, that's true. But that is also why we are taking you to UA."
"I don't care about UA. I just want to see Eri. And If I go there then I will be able to see her right?"
"Right. You will be able to see her once a week, maybe twice on some occasions."
"I am going there because you work there. The main reason is that you can Eraser my quirk, but you also still need to work. I am too dangerous to be left alone with people who I can kill."
Shota wasn't expecting the kid to hit the nail right on the head.
But he missed one of the main reasons. Nezu wanted Izuku to be around kids his own age. Kids who are being trained to help him and know how to be nice.
Nezu had also put Shota in charge of helping Izuku train his work.
With a quirk like his, it even scared him sometimes. He had found out a couple of days after they brought him in. It was on his mind every day. How could he help train this kid to get control over his quirk?
Thinking back on it he realized the kid had a lot more control than he first thought. Now knowing his quirk if he had no control a lot more people would be dead.
