Electricity
One week had passed, and not once had Izuku seen Eri. Every day he asked to see her but they told him they were neither strong enough. He didn't believe it. He wasn't dumb.
He only talked to that one man, Aizawa.
The Doctors would only come in with Aizawa, but they were afraid of the kid. Rumors spread like wildfire. They had all heard how he hurt so many people. They had no idea what to do with him.
When he was still unconscious they found that his body had scares, but not as many as they would have thought. He was also healing faster than the average person.
What the boy hadn't been told that was Eri's operation had been fished after the fifth day. But she had fallen into a comma. The doctors believe it was a side effect of the horrible trauma, and overuse of her quirk. She had been spent physically, emotionally, and through her quirk. They had no idea when she would wake up.
No one wanted to tell Izuku.
It could be too much for him.
Izuku was alone in his room. The man said he was going to get some food for both of them.
Izuku didn't waste any time. His bed had restraining straps, and he didn't want them to be able to use them. He knew how they worked, so he was able to cut them and tie them in slip knots that would come undone if he pulled on them when they strapped him down. Without closely looking at it no one could tell.
His body was still weak from his quirk overuse, but his mind wasn't.
The people here didn't know how to lock up things that could be used.
He needed to see Eri. And he would find a way.
There are cords everywhere in this room. Along with accessible electricity. Firstly he started with breaking/cutting the cords off of the machines, or lamps. Izuku then took those cords and tore off the rubber on them. He wound them together, almost in a braid. He left the ends unwounded so he could plug them into the five outlets in the room.
He needed to test it.
After plugging in the five outlets he grabbed a towel from the connected bathroom and drenched it. He laid the towel on top of wires. He could already hear buzzing, but he needed to know if it was strong enough.
Water is a conductor, that is true, but it isn't as strong as wire. Izuku went to touch the twowl. Before his hand could touch it, blue lightning snapped and the electricity pulsed through him.
"Ow!" He yelled in a whisper.
That hurt. But it will do. This is enough. All I need to do is connect the wire to the bed now.
He unplugged all the wires and then ran them under his bed twisting them onto the metal bed frame.
He made sure that you couldn't see the wires from where Eraserhead always sat. He felt bad about it, but what else could he do? He hasn't seen Eri in months. Now that he was here and they weren't letting him see her. Nothing had changed.
I'm sorry Aizawa. You have been really nice to me this week. But I only need Eri. Without her, I am no use to this world.
Izuku had over the past week timed how long it took the Hero to get food. The fastest he was, was 15 minutes. So Izuku had finished by 12 and was back in bed at 14 making sure he didn't touch any of the metal.
About another 10 minutes passed before the Hero walked in with two trays of food. As he would always Izuku got out of bed to the small table in the room. Eraserhead set the food down on the table and backed up looking at Izuku.
"You are looking better. The doctors here want you to start doing physical therapy so you can build up some muscles.
"All noticing how week I am?" Izuku said.
If I wasn't this week I would have been able to see Eri already.
"If I get stronger can I see her?"
Izuku just wanted to see what the man would say. He also knew that Aizawa would try to make himself less intimidating when Izuku would talk to him. Normally Izuku would just ask to see Eri and nothing else.
As he had done before he pulled a chair by the bed sitting down next to it. He would do this to make him shorter than Izuku, but it wasn't by much. The man was really tall. The next step he would take would always place a hand on the bed and reach for the food on the table.
The table was next to the bed while the chair was around the corner. He would put his hand on the metal frame lean, over the corner of the bed, and grab his drink.
"You can see her soon. I've been talking to the doctors. but,"
There is always a but.
As he spoke about to tell Izuku why there was a but he put his hand on the bed to lean to get his drink.
Izuku saw the pain that overcame Aizawas face. Then confusion.
The electricity wasn't enough to knock him out, but it was enough to make his muscles clench in his hand wrapping it around the metal. The energy making it impossible for Aizawa to let go of the bed.
It was painful and Izuku could see it in his eyes.
I'm sorry, I'm so sorry.
Izuku was too scared to say anything. He didn't want to hurt the man, but it was the only option.
The one problem with his plan was Eraserhead was now in between him and the door. But Izuku had come up with a simple solution. He threw the wet at Aizawa's face along with the food.
It was luck that it hit his eyes making him close them. Izuku scrabbled over the bed and rushed to the door.
"Kid," Aizawa said through gritted teeth.
Izuku was scared. He hadn't tried to escape in a long time. Overhaul had figured out pretty fast that he wasn't allowed to have anything. These people didn't know yet.
He looked back and saw the pained face of the nice man. This time Izuku was the bad guy, and the guilt filled him.
He was in a normal hospital gown. The ones he had worn his whole life.
He opened the door and the guilt was drowning him. The fear is always there
He's going to hurt me when he catches me. I can't hurt him, but he can heal. This won't hurt him? But it is hurting him.
I am horrible.
A plague.
Izuku turned left. The way Aizawa walked every time he left his room.
He could feel that there weren't people around him, but people are where Eri is going to be. He stood still and focused, the quirk cuff on him doing nothing, he sensed people. He took a staircase down, and then a left.
His feet slapped on the tile as he ran.
There is someone around the corner.
He felt it. He stood still and crowed down. The person walked right passed him.
Izuku grabbed his chest.
His thumping heart wasn't something he was used to, outside of a doctor's check-up, he hadn't felt it in a long time. He felt unbelievably weak.
He was getting closer to people.
He could feel their energy.
He had to walk his legs already shaking. He was also still injured, but healing.
His chest pounded in his chest the more people he sensed. Still have not seen another except that one person. He couldn't stop thinking about what he was doing.
Aizawa is still in pain right now. What if he can't get out?
But if he gets out he will punish me.
No, he won't he is a Hero. Heroes don't do that.
He will lock me away. If I don't find Eri I will never see her again. They know I'm a plague. They will lock me away so I can never hurt anyone again. I. I just need to see her one more time. One last time. I need to see. Eri.
Then they can take me away.
Izuku's legs shook, but he pushed forward. He saw two more people and this time they saw him. They gave him a weird look but didn't stop him.
There were so many people in the hospital that Izuku could have never been able to tell which energies was Eri's.
He knew that she was weak right now. So her energy would be hard to find, and dim.
He passed a room with very dim energy. He stopped and opened the door.
A man with an oxygen mask was on a bed. He looked at Izuku with sad eyes.
Izuku closed the door and tried another one. This person was very weak. It wasn't her. He started walking faster as he felt one getting weaker and weaker. He rushed to the door opening it.
There was an old lady. Sitting in a chair. She was looking out the window.
Izuku couldn't see her eyes. He closed the door walking a ways before he felt her energy vanish.
He faltered.
He went into more rooms. None where ever Eri.
His legs gave out on him when he opened another door.
"Hello! Are you okay?"
There was a red-headed boy about Izuku's age on the medical bed. He looked like he had been extremely injured. Despite this, he got out of his bed and limped to Izuku, who was trying to get up and run away.
"Need a hand?"
Both of them had injured arms and they were wrapped up. The read head extended his arm, then switched it to the uninjured one. The problem here was the hand he reached for was Izukus's injured arm.
He chuckled and said, "So much for a helping hand."
Izuku hadn't even moved to take his hand. He didn't know what to do. But the head-head didn't care he grabbed his wrist and pulled him to his feet with a grunt of pain, having to pull up Izuku's whole weight.
Izuku wanted to help him but he was pulling him up with the hand he couldn't grip him back with.
"Thank you. Sorry I got the wrong room."
"Don't worry about it, but you don't look like you should be walking around."
Izuku who released that this kid didn't know him didn't care if he was honest, "Yah, I'm not."
"Dude that's not manly. You need to listen to your doctors." He said, but he still laughed at the end.
"Sorry..."
Izuku felt an energy that was moving fast. A person was running. He focused closing his eyes. They were running in the direction he came from.
"Sorry?" The boy asked.
Izuku weak turned and closed the door. Hoping Aizawas quirk didn't tell him where people were.
"Sorry, I came into the wrong room."
"Are you getting Hospital sick? I know I am. Wanna talk? What is your name?"
Izuku wasn't listening to him. He was focusing on the energy slow down and started checking every door.
He is going to find me. I haven't found her yet. What can I do?
Izuku went to hide but his legs collapsed on him again.
Did Overhaul take more of my blood? I don't remember it. But not being able to stand? Maybe it was when they saved Eri, and found me my legs got injured.
But I feel weak from blood loss. He had to take too much again.
"Woh, Dude should I go get help?"
"No please don't."
It was already over. Eraserhead was on the other side of the door. Izuku failed.
The door opened.
"Sensei!" The boy said.
"Have you seen a green,"
He stopped talking when he saw Izuku.
Dark thoughts passed in Izukus's mind. He started shaking in fear.
He tried to get up but failed.
"Sensei?"
Tears split down Izuku's face. He couldn't help it. They just came.
He was scared and all three of them knew it.
"Izuku."
He started sobbing, "Please, I just want to see her."
Aizawa crowed down and looked at him in the eyes. "You can't see her yet. You can barely walk. You both need time."
"I don't understand. I haven't seen her in months. Why can't I see her? You can lock me away, but please let me see her one last time."
There was an awkward silence and the two other people looked at each other.
"Izuku," Aizawa said, "We aren't going to lock you away. We have to start slow."
Izuku had heard this before, but he could tell the man wasn't lying, but that didn't stop him from not believing him.
"Please let me see her. Then you can lock me away."
They looked sad as they gazed down at Izuku.
Something small pricked Izuku in the neck and in the next moment, his eyes felt heavy. His weak body accepted it and darkness overtook him once again.
"Sensei, what is going on," Kirishima asked.
"Kirishima get back in bed. You shouldn't be walking around."
"Who is he?"
"He is the other kid. The one we didn't know about."
"But he barely looks younger than me."
Kirishima was shocked he heard there was another kid they saved, but he didn't know this kid was a teenager.
"I thought you were watching him? How did he run away?"
Aizawa scoffed and looked down at his still shaking hands.
"He's smart."
He bent down and picked up izuku putting him on his back. He looked back at the concerned readhead.
"You helped save this boy never forget that."
Eraserhead left the room. His mind couldn't help but think of how the boy escaped from him. He was able to do that in the twenty minutes he was gone.
Doctors started walking around them asking questions.
He still felt the pain from the electricity, but it was outweighed by his thoughts as he walked back to the boy's room.
