Jackie stared up at Anti would looked as insane as ever. Just like  he did when he first saw him. But really, he couldn't be happier.

Anti chuckled, "What's the matter sili-cunt? Not gonna call for dear Darky?"

Google glared at the man and huffed, "I know Dark will be just as happy if I take you out myself"

Anti's sparks radiated off of him and he clenched his jaw in a snarl, "We'll see about that"

Google went to attack, pointing his fingers at him to laser off a limb but Anti glitched out of the way to suddenly kick him in the face, shoving him away from Henrik as he still tried to work on the giant cable.

Google grabbed his leg, however, and twirled Anti around to throw him into the wall only for Anti to glitch again, disappearing in the darkness. Google tried to find him with his heat sensors but it was useless.

"Awwww" Anti's voice echoed in the plant, "Are you having trouble? Are you maaaaad~? At dear me?" 

Something sparked nearby and Google rushed to laser it only to it not to be Anti.

"So on edge" his voice called out, "Is it because I fucked around with your motherboard?? Poor little pocket calculator~"

"I'll kill you" Google's eyes glowed red in his anger, "Show yourself you useless, pathetic glitch! You're nothing but a disgusting virus while I am actually useful! At least my fellow egos haven't constantly tried to shut me down!"

Anti appeared behind Google and roughly latched himself around him, an arm around his neck.

 Google was thrown off and tried to wriggle out but Anti's grip was tight, "You should be thanking me. Without me, you wouldn't have found the need to upgrade so much quicker. Too bad your silly lasers are useless on me"

Google managed to elbow him in the gut, making Anti let him go, "Well then maybe this will work" a large knife slipped out of his wrist and he went to swing it an Anti.

He dodged out of the way leaving Google to slash at his shirt, ripping it a little, "Fucker! This isn't even my shirt!"

"Duck, Anti!" Jackie's voice rang out in the plant a little ways away from them and Anti just barely dodged before Google tried to decapitate him.

"Jaysus! Someone's pissy! At least Bing has a sense of humor! Always thought he was the better android!"

"Fucking-" Google tried attacking him once more with a swift lunge only for Anti to shove his hand through his chest, having glitched suddenly behind him. 

Google gaped in shock, twitching roughly before finally shutting down, falling limp in Anti's arms.

Anti shoved him to the ground, "Great. There's another thing for Dark to be pissed off at me for"

"Anti" Jackie was still on the ground, having watched the whole fight.

Anti cautiously came over to him to examine him but there wasn't anything he could do to help, really. That wasn't his expertise.

Henrik cursed as another spark lashed to stop his work, "Dammit it all!"

"What's the problem? Can't you fix it?"

Jackie sighed, "Henrik, do you need help?"

"Not from you! Lay back down!" the doctor snapped at him, "You are in no condition to do anything now!"

Anti hummed as Jackie growled but said nothing.

"How much in a hurry are we?" Anti asked.

Jackie clenched his jaw, "The longer we mess with this damn cable, the more crime will happen in the city causing a lot of damage to it's economy and the people in it. The generators are down. Google did his job well."

"Zhe lasers made clean cuts so it is difficult to put back together" Henrik supplied, "I honestly don't know if I can fix it. Electricity snaps at me when I try and put it back together"

"Why'd you come?" Jackie asked him.

Anti stared at him for a while until he leaned over and tapped his walkie, "It turned on while you were fighting rust-bucket"

" . . .oh. You heard, then"

"Yeah"

Jackie swallowed as they locked eye contact and finally the hero gave in, "It's true, you know. I wouldn't have said all that if I didn't think so. Sorry I've been giving you a hard time"

Anti shrugged, "I don't blame you, red." he stood and rolled his shoulders, coming up to the cable, "Not let's turn the lights back on, shall we?"

Marvin held onto Chase when they entered the depths of Dark's mind. Exactly where Dark would probably expect them. But surprisingly enough. . . . there was dead silence.

They were in the middle of what seemed like a frozen lake, snow drifting around them and barren trees creaking in the wind. It seemed like night but then again it was probably always like this.

"Fooking hell." Chase mumbled, "This is in his head? No wonder he's so uptight."

"Hm" Marvin hummed, "I believe this was where Dark was actually born. In the void, I mean. This is how this part of the void took shape according to Host"

"Well maybe he just has a hard time letting go of things. Would make sense"

"Let's walk around and see if we can find something that'll lead us to the kids. Keep your mind silent if you can."

"Wait vhat are you doing?!" Henrik stood to try and stop Anti, "You can't fix the cable! It is  a lost cause!"

"You're saying you're giving up already, doc?" Anti teased but the doctor wasn't having any of that.

"I'm SAYING you'd probably only make it worse with your glitching! No offense."

"The city's already fucked, Schneep" Anti countered, a snarl on his face as always, "What's the harm in trying?"

"Vhy would you vant to? You are the one who . . . . . " he stopped himself and sighed, seeing Jackie's glare from behind Anti, "Fine. . . . . give it a shot then."

Anti walked past Henrik to the cable to examine it. The cable was about the size of an arm in diameter filled with complicated wiring that had been cut clean in half by Google's lasers. 

"Why not ductape?"

"Are you kidding me!?" Henrik snapped at him again, "If I could have used that shite then I vould have! It keeps sparking trying to kill meh!"

"But if it wasn't sparking at you then you'd be able to fix it?"

Henrik glared at him, "Vell of course but tis not that simple!"

"Sounds simple enough to me" Anti snorted, loving seeing the doctor so worked up.

"You are so infuriating! UGH! I cannot-!"

Jackie was almost amused by their interaction but stayed quiet. It seemed as though Anti had a plan.

"I can change the current of the sparks using my own body, doc. It'll keep the sparks away from you for long enough so you can ductape this mess. Think you can handle that?"

Jackie's eye twitched, obviously not expecting THAT as a plan, "Are you insane!? I was with you at first but seriously!? Even YOU can't handle that much energy, Anti! That cable is what keeps the generators going in the ENTIRE city! You could-"

Anti snapped him a look, "Shut up, hero. You think I can't handle it? Fook off. I'll show you what I can and can't do" he smirked, only making look more unhinged.

Marvin and Chase hid behind a snowbank  in front of their destination. The cabin was just up ahead and they could see Dark's silhouette from the window.

"How do you know the kids are in there?"

Marvin grunted, "I laced their suckers, remember? I KNOW they're in there. I can feel it"

"So what do we do then? Barge right in quick or wait for a good moment? I don't think we have a lot of time, Marv. Dark didn't seem like the patient type, really"

"I know but the cabin is just one big room. Nowhere to sneak in and just grab the kids. Not while he's in there at least."

"So what?" Chase grumbled, "We just wait for him to leave to take a piss or something?"

The magician rolled his eyes, "Normal bodily functions don't work here, Chase. But I imagine if we can distract him with something then perhaps he'll leave the kids to check it out"

"Right. You create the distraction then and I'll go save my kids"

"uH . . . ." Marvin bit his lip, "Easy there, champ. We need to think this through better than that. Dark is smarter than we give him credit for, after all. He's always a couple steps ahead"

"So he could already know we're here?"

"Probably"

"Well this just keeps getting better and better, doesn't it? What do we have to lose then?"

"Stop it" Marvin hushed him, "I might have a plan but you can't just rush in, Chase. Remember to chill out, alright? A blank mind"

"Trying" he huffed, "Not exactly easy when my kids are being held hostage by a psychopath"

"You dealt with Anti being around them. Surely this isn't too much different"

"Anti's a softie with them, I've come to find out. Static man, they've called him. Dark, however, I have no idea if he would hurt or kill them and it's infuriating. So, Marv. . . what's the fooking plan? Better think of one before I charge"

"Alright, alright. . . . here's what I'll do"

They stared at each other for a few seconds, neither wavering from their decisions. Anti sighed, "You can't stop me. You've never been able to. Just let me do this, cape-boy"

Jackie clenched his teeth but didn't say anything more. He knew Anti was right.

They could only watch as Anti took hold of both ends of the cable. He shivered and clenched his eyes tight at the surge of power coming from them. He knew Jackie might just be right. . . . . but that didn't mean shit to him. He was too stubborn for his own good and he knew that if Chase was here, he'd point blank tell him that.

He started to flare up, glowing and sparking, the power coursing through him back through the transformers.

"Guh. . .ah!" he let out a few whimpers and grunts but wouldn't back down, growling with full-on stubbornness.

Henrik snatched his ductape to get ready as Anti started to glitch, the energy snapping off of him like lightening.

"Grrrrrrrrrrrraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaahhhhhhhahahahahah-hah-haha!!!!" Anti screamed out. The pain was there, nearly unbearable but he kept hold of the current, lightening radiating off his back like wings.

Jackie shuddered as he swore he saw Anti's skeleton through the light show.

The power plant turned itself back on and lights switched back up.

Anti's eyes turned charcoal black, his teeth looked beastly and over all. . . . .  he just looked fucking scary, overwhelming power running through him.

"Aahahaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa!!!" he glitched madly, "Fucking hell! Henrik! Fooooooking hurry now!!!! DO IT NOOOOOOOOOWWWWW!!!!"

With the current running securely through him, Henrik jumped to action quickly, taping the cable together tightly and properly so hopefully the power would stay on even after Anti let go of it.

"Zhere! Let go, Anti! I got it! Let it go!" Henrik moved out of the way as well over to Jackie just in case something terrible happened instead.

The glitch gasped, trying to let go but had a hard time like he was paralyzed, his muscles not knowing what to make of it all. Luckily with his glitching, however, he was able to snap away, letting the current flow properly through the cable.

They were all silent for a while, Anti on his back on the floor, huffing deeply, "Gasp! . . . .guh. . . .  Sssss-s-s-s-s-ee? W-worked" his voice sounded like it was going to error.

Jackie snapped out of his shock with a smile cracking on his face, "Shit. . . . . you actually fucking did it"

Anti gave him the middle finger as Henrik rushed to examine him. He had to be careful, however, since he was still zapping with leftover energy in his body.

"We should get out of here" Jackie tried to stand, only to fall back down again with a grunt.

"Marvin and Chase should get here soon with zhe children. Ve need to wait"

Marvin cast a warming spell on the surroundings, carefully making sure to keep himself hidden. He heated the area, forcing spring to unfold in the dark, cold void.

Meanwhile, Chase was on the other side of the cabin, ready to charge in as soon as Dark went to check out what the hell was going on outside.

A few moments passed and Marvin hid nearby in the forest, growing leaves and fresh grass on the land and trees. As a beacon, Marvin shot an orb into the sky to create an artificial sun and it worked WAY too well almost too quickly.

Immediately, Dark rushed out of the cabin to look at the surroundings. He seemed to have a scowl on his face, searching for the cause.

"Magician!" he called out, "I know this was your doing! You think I don't know!?" he walked out a bit more away from the cabin and Chase took his chance to sneak in.

Dark just smiled, though.

"I know everything here" he shut down Marvin's spell in a blink, making everything change back to the way it was before. No illusions, "And you can't hide from me."

He glanced back at the cabin with a knowing grin, "Just like you can't hide HIM from me"

Chase closed the door behind him and expected to see his kids but it wasn't what he thought.

As soon as he shut the door, the inside of the cabin showed him a familiar design. Him and Stacey's old home.

Taking a step inside, he called out, "Kallie!? Sammy!! Are you in here! Kids!"

Nothing.

The halls were dark but there was a light coming nearby from a TV that had a broken signal on it. Chase walked down the dark hallway, his breathing picking up.

"Kids! It's me, dad! Kids please!"

He started into a run, breaking through door after door, panic starting to flood through him.

"No, no please!" he whimpered, "You have to be here. You have to be! Kids!"

He suddenly heard the faint sound of giggling in another room nearby and bolted for it.

'You don't deserve them. Look what you've done. Letting that thing corrupt you'

It was clearly Dark's voice but Chase tried not to listen to it.

'Everything would be easier if you'd just give me what I want. Don't you want your kids back?'

"Dammit, you bastard! Where are they!? What do you want from me!?"

'You know that answer'

"FUCK YOU! Give me back my kids you son of a bitch or I swear I'll fooking do EVERYTHING I can to kill you!!"

Dark's voice made a strange sound almost as if he were impressed with Chase's anger, 'Why not just give me what I want? What do you care what happens to him? He'll come back eventually'

"That's not the point!" Chase shouted angrily, "He's changed and you're too fooking caught up in your own huffy self to see that! You're too close-minded to let it go! Too goddamn self-absorbed!"

Dark's soft chuckle hung in the air, 'If only that were true. You don't know anything about Anti. You think he'd actually do anything for you like you would him? He wouldn't give his life for you, he just got his own body. And I don't see him around taking your place. . . .  Looks like you're wrong'

"He saved us all from you earlier!"

'Because he wanted to come after me. Make me angrier as usual'

"You're wrong"

'And you're running out of time'

"WHERE ARE MY KIDS!?"

'You'll see what I mean, Mr. Brody'

A flash of red light lit up a room  nearby and Chase ran for it, breaking open the door to see Kallie and Sammy huddled together hugging themselves.

"Daddy!" Kallie charged to him with Sammy behind her.

"Kids!" he hugged them to him but now wasn't the time for a reunion, "Come on, we've got to get out of here! Let's go!"

Chase ushered them in front of him as they ran out of the house. 

Marvin was at the front door inside as if holding it closed so Dark couldn't break back in.

"Come on, guys! Come to me! Hurry! Hurry!"

They ran as fast as they could to Marvin, "Grab onto me! Quickly!"

The kids latched onto their uncle and Chase did too.

But just as Marvin teleported, Chase was yanked back.
