Chapter 23

ADILYNNE'S POV

Before we have any time to react, Father lifts up his shirt revealing a gun at his waist. Austin looks at me obviously scared but quickly wipes the fear off his face grabs my hand.

Why would he do that if Austin's here? He doesn't know that Austin knows!

Fuck!

"Come along quickly now," father says mentioning for us to get out the bathroom.

We quickly gathered our things. Austin grabbed his phone and his charger when father wasn't looking and put it in his pockets.

We exited the hospital after father signed me out, against medical advice, might I add. He pointed to his beat down little Ford truck.

"Adilynne in the front, and you in the back," we didn't move.

"NOW!" Father yelled and placed his hand on his waist that has the gun.

I quickly climbed into the passenger side of his silver dirty truck, and Austin got in the back behind Father's seat. Austin coughed at how strong the smell of alcohol was. I was used to it, so I didn't react.

"Put them on," Father demanded handing Austin and I a blind fold.

We heard a 'click' which was most likely the doors locking. We sat in complete silence. Tears starting rolling down my cheeks.

Why would I even get Austin involved. What did I do?

I couldn't help it I started sobbing. My crying filled the silence. O cried even harder when I felt Father place his cold hand on my upper thigh. I cringed and froze when he squeezed it.

After what seemed like a hour, the care finally came to its destination.

"Take them off," Father commanded.

We did as we were told.

"Out now," Father said unlocking our doors then getting out himself.

I gently shut the door, but Austin slams it shut. I look over at him he has a smirk on his face. I stare at him my eyes wide.

Why would he even do that! Does he think this is some kind of joke!

Father quickly turned around and walked towards Austin.

Being an inch away from his face he said, "slam my door again, and I might just make you my target."

Austin still had a smirk on his face. It only made Father angrier. He drew his hand back ready to slap him in the face.

"NO! Please!" I yelled before he could.

Austin looked over at me and his smirk went away, like he just realized this wasn't a joke. Father walked over to me and slapped me hard across the face, making me fall over.

My face immediately started throbbing. I could feel a bruise already start to form. Pain went through my cheek so much I started getting a headache.

I could tell he was drunk, really drunk. He smelled like a mix of vodka and beer.

"DON'T TOUCH HER!" Austin yelled from five feet away from us.

Father quickly turned around and pulled out his pistol. He loaded it and pointed it at Austin's head.

"Please stop. Please," I begged my father, but he didn't listen.

Austin pulled out a knife from his back pocket. It was all black, long and really sharp. He threw it, before father had a chance to see it. It stabbed father right in the hand that was holding the gun.

The knife went all the way through his hand showing on both sides.

Father screamed out in pain and dropped the gun. He didn't just drop the gun though. He dropped it on his foot. He started crying out in pain, and I wasted no time. I quickly got up and grabbed the gun.

I ran to the truck and Austin followed.

"I swear, I'm going to kill you!" Father yelled attempting to run after us.

I'm guessing his foot was broke because he was basically hopping on one foot and falling over at the same time, considering he was drunk. He winced with every movement he made. Blood dripped from his pale hand, making a blood path in the grass.

Should I kill him?

No I can't, I'll be just like him.

Austin and I quickly hopped in the truck. I got in the passenger side and Austin got in the driver's side. Father left the keys in the ignition. Austin's turned the car on and pulled out of the woods.

Let me tell you something. He cannot drive.

Leaving Father behind and finally getting out the woods Austin hands me his phone.

"Call the cops," he says with a smile.

I dial 9-1-1, and smile as well.

This just might be the end.

"This is 9-1-1, what is your emergency?" The operator asked.

I gave her a brief story of everything. I also told her what he was wearing and where at in the woods he might be. I gave her our address too. After I finished I could hear pity in her voice. I hate when people pity me.

"Oh sweetie we are tracking your location now, I need you to go to the nearest police department for your own safety. "

"Yes ma'am, " I replied.

Should I tell her about my mom? I consider this for few minutes beside against it

I'll just tell them at the police department.

"The police are on the way," she said.

I hung up the phone.

My mind could only focus on one thing.

I'm pregnant.

We finally got on a highway and, I was honestly scared I was going to die.

"That's it I can't it, I'm sorry but pull over, " I said in a panic tone.

"Uh," Austin chuckled nervously , "I can't were on a highway ."

Every five seconds he would swerve outside of our lane. He could NOT help his speed steady at all. He was too fast one minute then too slow the next.

Unfortunately there was no police around to catch him. Honestly I'd feel a while lot safer with a police officer.

When we got off the highway Austin and I switched spots.

*****

We arrived at the police station and I told. I told them about my mom, but I didn't tell Austin. I told them he raped me and that I was pregnant, I also didn't tell Austin that. I would do that on my own time.

I told them about all the years of abuse he did to me. I even mentioned the baby pig. I told them all the times I tried and thought about killing myself.

When I told them about the time I recently tried drowning myself they got worried.

"You can drown weeks after water has entered your lungs."

They had me checked out and treated at the hospital. Austin had to wait in the waiting room. It turned out I was about a month pregnant.

There was something they didn't understand. My father raped me which means the genetics would cause problems with the baby. But so far there are no complications.

It's only been a month, so there's not much to go off of. They told me when the baby gets big enough they want to draw blood from us both. But for now they need my blood.

My pregnancy might just reveal even more lies I've been living.
