Chapter 12

"Hey do you want to go swimming?" Austin asks me when we finally finished our game of monopoly.

All day we've been watching Netflix and playing board games. I won monopoly, which took at least two hours for me to win, chess, and jenga. Austin only won candy land.

"I didn't bring a bathing suit," I told him while putting away the games.

"Okay then, how about a walk?"

"Yeah, sure!"

I finished putting the board games in Austin's closet and went to my bag to grab some clothes. I pulled out a pair of black ripped jeans, socks, and undergarments

"Hey Austin, can I borrow another shirt," He just put on another shirt that was exactly identical to the one he gave me yesterday.

He took off his shirt and handed me it, "I like that shirt on you, wear it," leaving him once again shirtless.

I took the shirt from him and went into his bathroom to change. I remembered that I need my different and perfume so I just take my whole bag with me and set it on the sink.

Before I could shut the door Austin said, "Adilynne, wait. We should wear black and white but opposite of each other, it'll be cute."

He tosses me a plain white T-shirt then goes to his closet and pulls out white jogger sweatpants, along with black Nike Air Forces. In his dresser he gets a black shirt to finish off his look.

I close the bathroom door and slip off his blue shirt, change into a black bra, then slip on the white T-shirt. When I finish getting dress, touching up my makeup and putting on perfume and deodorant, I open the door.

My shoes are on his floor covered in white and pink rose petals. I brush all the petals off them and put them.

"Let me see," Austin says.

He looks at me and his eyes go wide.

"Uh, well you look amazing, but Adilynne, that shirts pretty see through."

I look down at my shirt and realize my whole bra is showing.

"Do you have a thicker shirt," I ask him smiling at his reaction.

"Yeah let me get that for you," he hands me another plain white T-shirt from out his dresser.

I take the current T-shirt off, and hand it to him.

"Jesus Adilynne! You could at least turn around, " he says laughing.

"Yeah well that's too much work," I say as I put the new shirt on.

"Better?" I ask.

"Yeah, I just didn't want anyone looking at you."

He walks up to me after finishing tying his shoes, and holds my hand.

"Ready to look? " he asks.

I nod my head yes and he takes me to a mirror that's in a bathroom across from his room. This bathroom is a lot smaller than the one in his room. The floor is a light green and white color, the walls are white. This bathroom doesn't have a bathtub or shower.

We stand in front of the mirror and let me to you we look adorable. I'm wearing a white shirt, black ripped jeans, and white nike air forces, and he is wearing exactly the opposite.

He walks in front of me, and holds his arms out for a hug like a two year old. I wrap my arms around him and he puts one hand in my hair and his other on my lower back.

Sometimes I actually think Austin is like my hallucination, because honestly him and I, who would've thought. He's like a gift from heaven itself. Every time he touches me or even just talks, my heart lights up. If I'm being really honest just looking at him is enough.

*****

We've been walking for almost a hour straight when we finally arrive to Austins 'destination.' I think it's sweet I really do, but a hour walk for this! Wal-Mart was literally a 15 minute walk away!

"So, I want you to pick out anything you want," Austin says.

I slide my hand into his and say, "Not without your help."

He brought me to a fancy, swimsuit store. After taking another hour searching and trying on swimsuits I finally settle on one. Plain black bottoms and a top that goes across, has flowers on the side and has slits in the middle.

"How does this look?" I walk out the changing room to show Austin.

He looks me up and down in shock.

"You look," he paused trying to find the right word, "gorgeous and even that is an understatement.

I laugh and hug him.

"I love you baby girl," he whispers in my ear.

I freeze for a split second because I was not expecting him to say that. Instead of saying I love you back I kiss him on the lips and he kisses me back, well until we're interrupted.

"Kids hurry this up there's more people in line," a grouchy sounding old lady says to us.

We stop and look around to see at least ten people in a line staring right at us. Having social anxiety makes this right here hard. I start to panic seeing all these people around me, looking directly us.

I pull away from Austin and hurry back into the stall to change. A tear escapes my eye followed by what seems like dozens more. I quickly wipe them away but careful not to mess up my makeup. Good thing people invented waterproof mascara.

I hold my breath before leaving the stall. Austin pays for the suit and we walk out the door holding hands as always. When we finally step out of the building I slowly, not making any sound, let out my breath.

*****

Austin's  backyard is beautiful and big. He has a bunch of flowers along a wooden fence. He has an underground pool with a slide and diving board. There's pool chairs by the side of the pool. He even has a hot tub and a big garden. The best part? He has it all to himself.

I learned all that by looking out of a balcony that is 3 stories above the pool. Austin has on his dark blue shorts, and at this point I'm a thousand percent sure blue is his favorite color.

The front part of the railing on the balcony opens like a gate, so I had this crazy idea to jump off it and into the pool. So that's where we are now.

"Are you wanting to get me killed!?" Austin asks way over dramatically.

"It goes right over the pool Austin, you won't die."

Apparently he has a thing for heights.

"Well then, I guess I'll just jump off without you, all alone," I say with a fake pout and sad eyes.

"Adilynne that's not fair, you look so cute now!" He wines.

After a minute of him debating he finally asks, "What's in it for me?"

"Maybe more of this," I kiss him on the lips and quickly pull away when he does the same.

With that he caves. He grabs my hand squeezing the life out of it and we jump from the balcony into the pool. Austin swims to the shallow end and waits for me. When I reach him he picks me up and sets me on the edge of the pool.

"Now?" He asks gently.

I place my hand under his chin and tilt his head up. I lean in and press my lips against his. I move my other hand on the back of his head. He moves his hands and rests them on my waist. I hop off the edge in move close to him not wanting to let go.
