A/N_ Please prepare a box of tissue before you read this! Don't say I didn't warn you...

The little girl with two pigtails ran around, making me race after her through the fresh meadows.

"Alyssa!"

She stopped running and turned around, smiling widely. "Mama."

I panted, finally catching up to my little Alyssa as I opened up my arms to hug her. However, I found myself hugging nothing as she silently disappeared into thin air.

"Alyssa? Alyssa!" I screamed in horror, jolting awake as I sat up. Sweat trickled down my forehead as I clenched onto the duvets tightly.

A hand caressed my cheek, my name being called out by someone familiar.

"Gemini baby? Gemini baby?" I looked up blankly, finding myself staring at Chase.

My heart slowly steadied itself as I took in deep breaths. I looked around to find myself in a white robe, assuming that I was in the hospital right now.

It must be a dream. A bad dream.

"It was just a dream." I whispered absentmindedly until he grunted in response.

I looked towards him to see his head hung down with guilt. "It's all my fault." His voice cracked as he looked as though he was crying.

My eyes widened instantly in realization. "Did something happen to my Leo?" I demanded, clenching my jaws in anger as I thought of all the possibilities.

"No, he's safe with Laura now." He paused, looking up at me with emptiness in his soul. He then stared at my belly longingly.

"It's the baby in you. Our unborn baby is dead." My whole world crashed upon his statement.

I found it hilarious and ridiculous. How was this possible? I was pregnant with a baby and I lost it so easily.

I gripped his collar and glared at him with hatred. "Why didn't you save our baby? Why did you watch it die?" I screamed, thrashing around when he embraced me.

"I'm sorry, babe. I had no choice. Either I save the baby, or you. You know I can't live without you, so I chose you over the baby."

I stopped moving, feeling tears running down my cheeks as my heart was torn into million pieces.

"Why?" I wheezed out, crying my heart out as I woke up, only to find my baby taken away from me.

"I want Roderick dead. He caused my baby to die." I screamed with indignant, pushing him away as I tried to get up.

He stopped me and forced me to look at him. I ignored him and looked away, about to move again when his words stopped me.

"He's dead."

I froze instantly, feeling his arms tightening around my waist as his chest was pressed tightly against my back.

"How did he..." I trailed off, not remembering anything at all.

"He was about to shoot you, but Laura came just in time with my men. They mananged to shoot Roderick and his men before you were shot."

I slowly pulled away from him, spinning around to look at him as I digested the information.

"He's dead." I repeated his words with a sense of relief. "So, she was with us right from the start?"

He nodded. "She agreed to continue her act by staying on his side, carrying out his orders. When she was tasked to kidnap Leo, she informed me and staged the whole kidnap well."

"Leo hasn't been kidnapped, he was only being protected by her for the time being. Those who helped her were all under my wing."

I sighed in relief, pleased to hear something good this time. As long as Leo was safe, nothing matters anymore.

Although it was a huge pity that I lost my baby who could have been my daughter in my dreams.

Alyssa.

"But, our daughter..." I trailed off, feeling disappointed with myself that things happened this way.

He raised a brow. "Daughter?"

"Alyssa, the name I kept calling in my dreams is our daughter. She came into my dream, smiling happily even though she has been taken away by that sick Roderick."

Upon my words, he paled and slumped against his seat. He leaned forward, his head colliding into his palms.

"It's all my fault. If I hadn't turn into a monster like that man, I wouldn't have almost lost you and lost our daughter."

"That man?" I questioned, staring at his remorse self. He looked up, tears blurring his vision.

"I have turned into the person which is the last thing I want on Earth. That man is my father." He said through gritted teeth.

"When I was young, I vowed never to turn into that man who abused his own wife and vented his frustration on his child when his wife is too broken to deal with his beatings."

He closed his eyes tightly. I could feel the air slightly changing as it became dark. He was hating himself for turning into a monster, I could see it.

I caressed his face and felt my lips touching his. He tensed for a moment before reacting to the kiss.

It was slow and full of love and passion. He pulled me into his arms tightly as though he would lose me if he loosened his grip.

As we molded our lips together, I felt that we were perfect for each other. We were flawed. He was broken and I was weak.

But it was the power to overcome it that made us stronger. Nothing can break us apart anymore.

I pulled away slowly, leaning into him as I caught my breath. "It isn't your fault, Chase. It's the fact that you have seen and experienced too much that makes you think that you're broken." I whispered, feeling his hot breath against my neck.

"But you can change as time goes by. Time will heal all wounds, I am sure of that."

"I hope so." He replied with little confidence. "Don't worry, I will be there for you no matter what happens."

"And me too!" Leo's voice made us look up as he came charging towards us. Chase laughed as he picked up his little bundle of joy before setting him down on his lap.

I caressed my cheeky little boy, leaning in as I kissed his cheek. "Have you missed mama?"

He simply replied with a loud, 'yes'. I burst out laughing, loving how things eventually turned like this.

What matters is that we are reunited and we are one happy family now. As for Chase, I believe that he will heal from his past as time goes by.
