25: Choosing Sides
Our eyes locked, so many emotions running across his eyes. One of the many emotions which was noticeable was anger.
His eyes shifted to our intertwined fingers, anger emitting from his body in waves as he glared at us accusingly.
Or more specifically, Roderick.
"Hands off my woman, Roderick." He calmly stated, trying to control himself from lashing out at him.
I gulped. A furious Chase was never good.
Roderick sat down first while I stood by his side. He shifted his attention towards me and motioned me to sit beside him.
As much as I hated him so much for making me do things that I was reluctant to, I still complied.
I took my seat beside him and was suddenly pulled towards his body. His arms wrapped around my waist as he picked up a glass from the table and took a few sips before placing it back down.
I could have sworn that a growl escaped from Chase's lips as he glared at us with hate and jealousy.
This made Roderick's smirk widen even more. This angered him as he slammed his fists down on the table in front of him.
Cracks were visible as he had broken the glass table in a fit of anger.
I gulped, not liking where we were heading to right now.
"Easy there, Chase. No need to get so worked up." He coolly stated, deliberately trying to annoy him at the same time.
"What the f*ck do you want, Roderick?" He demanded, snarling at him as each seconds passed with his arm still wrapped around my waist.
"Simple, I just want to strike a deal with you." I looked at him astonished, wondering what the hell he was thinking right now.
What deal would he want to make with Chase? I literally have no idea what he was scheming.
"Do you think I would give a shit about this deal? Before a war breaks out between us, hand me back my woman." He growled through clenched teeth, his face twitching with anger.
"I am unable to do that since she is mine now." He hissed, solemnly looking at him as a wicked smirk spread across his face.
He looked towards me and smiled, leaning in as he kissed my neck. Sucking, biting gently as he attacked the same spot.
I gripped his shoulders tightly, trying my best not to slap him. I felt so dirty and weak just like how I was five years ago.
I felt like I could crumble so easily in front of him. Five years later, he still had me beneath his feet once again.
I can never rise to be stronger because I have Chase in the past. Now, I have Leo which made me even harder to resist against him.
Roderick, you have won.
They say love conquers everything. But now, I think that is just plain bullshit.
Clenching my fists tightly, I could feel my fingernails piercing into my skin as I squirmed uncomfortably.
My eyes met his as he gritted his teeth in anger. Tears welled up my eyes, all I could do was to sit and do nothing as I stared at him with guilt.
His eyes, however, widened as though he had found something in them.
All I felt was pain as Roderick continued to leave hickeys on my neck in the presence of Chase.
Uncomfortably, I set my hands on his shoulders and gently pushed him away. "Roderick, back to serious business." I whispered, wanting to kill this monster in front of me.
He wiped his lips, staring at the amount of hickeys he had left behind as his lips lifted up into a satisfied smirk.
I, on the other hand, was trying my best not to kill him with my own hands.
"Alright, back to serious business it is." He turned to face Chase with a smug smirk.
"So, how about listening to my proposition?"
