I clenched onto the phone tightly, gritting my teeth in nervousness. God, this was more nerve-wrecking than receiving my exam results.

If I don't tell him now, Roderick might have a chance to turn against us and have the upper hand.

This was a 'yes' or 'no' question, but it was so hard to make a decision. Either I say and get Chase to protect us or I keep quiet about it and let him harm either of us.

Raking my fingers across my hair, I finally confessed. "It's Roderick."

His eyes narrowed into slits as he clenched his jaws tightly. "You're still in contact with him?" He demanded, his hand tugged on my arm tightened.

"Stop, you are hurting me." I wheezed out, suddenly afraid of this version of Chase before me.

His eyes softened for a moment before it turned emotionless. He released his grip on my arm, continuing to stare at me as if I was a traitor.

Swiftly, I pulled Leo into my arms and covered his ears as I glared at Chase hatefully. He has little trust in me and he expect me to believe that he will protect us.

"Why would I even stay in contact with a man who is hunting me down? Furthermore, this concerns Leo's safety." I reasoned through gritted teeth.

I tore my eyes away from him and carried Leo in my arms.

"We are going home, Leo." I dryly stated, wiping away my tears as I began to walk to the nearest bus stop.

An arm stopped me as he blocked my path. "You are not going anywhere without me."

I glared at him hatefully, clenching my jaws in anger. "At this point of time, you're still acting so possessive of me. I don't belong to you, Chase."

He grunted in frustration, carrying Leo from my arms as he tore off down the road. I chased after him, trying to get Leo back but to no avail.

He was too fast and strong for me.

He sat Leo on his car seat and shut the door before turning around to face me.

His eyes turned red in anger while his veins became visible from his skin. He was clenching his jaws and he was one step away from killing someone.

He was now a monster. What have I done to trigger this side of him?

He took a step forward while I took a step backwards. Soon, I was cornered against his car as I panted in fright.

"Chase-" He cut me off with a growl. "You belong to me, you are my woman. What makes you think that I will simply let you off for what you have said?"

"W-What? What are you going to do to me?" I gasped, feeling his body pressed against mine.

He simply smirked, his eyes twinkling with mischief. "Punish you."

I gulped, not liking the sound of this.

After I have tucked Leo to bed in his own official room which was a baby blue theme, I returned back to my room only to find myself being lifted off the ground.

I felt myself being thrown onto the bed as Chase towered above me.

He lowered himself onto me like a predator, pinning me against the bed.

I swallowed anxiously, not knowing what he was going to do next.

"Still remember what we have discussed earlier?" He reminded, slowly sliding his fingers down my arms.

I shivered upon his touch, feeling goosebumps all over my skin.

"Chase-" I was cut off by his lips pressed against my temple. "Hush, babe. I will make this less painful for you."
