Something landed on me as I stirred in my sleep. "Mhm." I mumbled incoherently, shifting to the side.

Peeling my eyelids open, I almost screamed when I noticed Chase sleeping beside me. His arms were wrapped around my waist while his legs tangled with mine.

I huffed, pushing him away, only to have myself being pulled towards him.

"Ahh~ Chase!" I grumbled, looking up to see a smile on his lips. This bastard was awake and he was playing a joke on me.

Deciding to get back at him, I shifted and climbed on top of him. His smile grew wider as he leaned in and pecked my lips.

I rolled my eyes and groaned internally instead. I lifted myself up slightly and shifted forward, adding weight on top of his body as he groaned. "What are you doing?"

In an instant, I grabbed his nose and began pinching on it. "You're so naughty, just like your son."

He barked out a laugh with an ungodly sound as I continued to glare at him.

His hands rested on my hips. In a second, he had me flipped over as he laid on top of me.

"Naughty?" He cocked his head to the side with a hint of mischief in his eyes. "I will show you what naughty means."

And with that, he leaned forward and claimed my lips. His hands held onto both sides of my face as he kissed me with no care for the world.

"Eek! Mama and papa are kissing!" The sound of Leo's voice made us break apart as we panted.

I pushed Chase away from me, quickly sitting up as I adjusted my hair. "Come on, let's go and wash up for breakfast."

I carried Leo in my arms, turning around to see Chase staring at me with lust.

I smirked, carrying Leo out of the room as I swayed my hips this whole time.

I knew that he has noticed that as a groan escaped from the room a second later.

A smile stayed on my lips as I bathed Leo. He was playing with his rubber duck in his bubble bath absentmindedly.

His eyes looked up, meeting mine as he stared at me inquisitively. "Mama, why are you so happy?"

I cleared my throat immediately, shaking my head at myself. I panicked, quickly coming up with an excuse. "Because we are going to have a family outing today."

His eyes lit up upon my words. He shot up from his seat and cheered in delight. "Yay! We are going out today!"

I shook my head at his reaction, setting him down on the stool as I dried him.

After that, he ran off, repeating the same sentence again and again.

"We are going out!"

Hand in hand, we walked down the path with Leo in our hands. It felt so great to go out with my little boy, without caring about other people's judgements.

It was time for Leo to go through the feeling of a complete family. And, I won't take this opportunity for granted.

My phone rang as I picked it up and answered the call. "Hello?"

"It's me, love." A low voice was heard from the end of the phone as I shuddered involuntarily.

"Who are you?" I asked, furrowing my brows as I felt my guts twisting in fear.

I have a bad feeling that this was not going to end well.

"You should know who I am, love. Have you forgotten me?" I gulped instantly, realising that it was Roderick.

I turned to look at the ones I treasured before me. I will never let him come in between us again.

"I don't know who you are, please don't call me again." And with that, I ended the call.

"Who is it?" Chase asked while I swallowed a lump in my throat nervously. Should I tell him?
