Taehyung sighs as he walks into the house, stepping out of his shoes as he announces his presence.
He frowns in confusion when he doesn't receive a response, half expecting the boys to tackle him at the door like they usually do. He follows the silence into the living, finding it empty as well before going to check in the backyard.
He hears the kids before he sees them, their voices shouting excitedly from the backyard. When he steps outside he discovers the source of this excitement.
"Tae," Jeongguk says standing when he hears the door open, the smile on his face barely faltering when he sees Taehyung's bewildered expression. "I can explain."
"Jeongguk," Taehyung says, forcing a smile when he notices the kids watching his reaction as well. "Let's talk inside, hm?"
Jeongguk nods. "Be careful, guys," he says to the kids before following Taehyung inside, shutting the door behind himself. "Before you get upset, I can explain~"
"You got them a dog?" Taehyung asks, crossing his arms. "What were you thinking?"
Jeongguk's smile fade completely, his expression immediately becoming apologetic. "I'm sorry, Tae, I just~"
"You're such an asshole," The brunette pouts. "You promised I could help you pick it out."
"Wait, that's what you're upset about?" Jeongguk asks, sighing in relief. "Good, I thought I was going to have to give it back."
"You couldn't have waited until I got here to give it to them?" Taehyung asks. "I really wanted to be there when it happened."
"I tried waiting for you but I couldn't hide him anywhere," Jeongguk says. "I didn't want to leave him in the car. We picked your name if that makes you feel any better."
"Really? Jaehyung hated the name I chose." Taehyung says, cracking a small smile.
"He changed his mind when he saw him," Jeongguk says. "He doesn't really look like a Rex or a Lucky."
Taehyung laughs a little at that. "Well thanks, but I'm still upset that you took all the credit."
"I didn't," Jeongguk says. "I made sure they knew he was from both of us. And they know the rules, he's one hundred percent their responsibility."
"One hundred percent?" Taehyung asks knowingly, raising his eyebrow.
"Fine, ninety-five percent," Jeongguk shrugs before taking Taehyung's arms and making him uncross them before draping them over his own shoulders, wrapping his arms around his waist. "Stop being a crybaby now. I'm sorry, okay?"
"Incredible apology, wow, definitely top five," Taehyung says rolling his eyes, smiling despite himself when Jeongguk kisses his cheek. "Where's my baby?"
"Somewhere being a baby,"
"You're on fire today,"
Jeongguk laughs as Taehyung pushes him away. "Are you calling me hot?"
"Yeah, burning up," Taehyung smiles sarcastically. "Do me a favor? Once you put yourself out get your shit and move into the guest room for tonight."
"Really? It's like that?" Jeongguk asks clutching his heart. "I don't think I'll get over this, Taehyung. We might seriously have to go pick up those divorce papers."
"Divorce?" Jaehyung's voice asks, cutting off their bantering. "Y-You're gonna divorce? But I thought you weren't married?"
"What?" Hanjae asks coming in behind him.
"Dada and Appa are gonna divorce," Jaehyung says. "Even though they aren't married."
"We are married, okay?" Jeongguk says. "And we aren't getting divorced, Appa was just joking, wasn't I, dada?"
"Yeah, he was joking, you guys," Taehyung chuckles. "I'm sorry, we won't joke around about that anymore. Right, Appa?"
"Right," Jeongguk nods. "What are you guys coming in for anyway?"
"Yeontan wants to leave the yard so we need his leash," Jaehyung says going to get it from the living room.
"You guys have to be really careful with him, alright? He's just a puppy." Jeongguk says looking at Hanjae. "Down the sidewalk and back, then he needs to rest."
"Okay," Hanjae pouts before walking back outside, Jaehyung following after him with the leash.
"Watch your sister, please?" Taehyung calls after them.
"Okey dokey!" Jaehyung calls back before slamming the door shut.
Taehyung shakes his head at them after they're gone. "You have to stop joking about us getting a divorce. What if you jinx it?"
"I don't believe in jinxes," Jeongguk shrugs. "Plus, the only way we're getting a divorce is if one of us dies."
"Idiot," Taehyung chuckles. "I'm going to change."
"Alright, try not wake Hyukjae, I just managed to get him down for his nap."
"I wont."
Taehyung goes up to their room to change. His phone ringing against his nightstand as he pulls his pants up his legs. He smiles to himself when he sees Namjoon's number on the screen.
"Namjoon-ah," He answers enthusiastically.
"Taehyung-ah, don't make me drive three hours to kick your ass," Namjoon says back jokingly.
Taehyung laughs as he sits crisscrossed on his bed. "Hyung," he corrects. "I called you yesterday and you didn't answer."
"I know, I was working," Namjoon says. "I only work four days a week now, so I had to get a lot done in a short time."
"Yeah, yeah," Taehyung sighs. "What are you doing now?"
"Nothing, I was going to cook but I don't think I feel like it," The older says. "Seokjin went to pick Saebin up from soccer tryouts."
"Oh? He's playing soccer again?" Taehyung asks, he couldn't even remember the last time Saebin showed any interest in sports.
"He's trying to get into it," Namjoon says. "Some of his friends from middle school are trying out too, so maybe he'll stick with it if he makes it."
"I hope he does, he used to love it so much." Taehyung says. "I really miss you guys, hyung. I miss seeing you guys so often."
"We miss you guys too," Namjoon chuckles. "You're still coming down for the summer, right?"
"That's the plan," Taehyung says. "We have a new addition to the family and you guys have to meet him."
"Oh?"
"We got the kids a dog. He's a little Pomeranian."
Namjoon laughs on the other line. "You finally caved, huh?"
"I couldn't help it, they've been begging me for months," Taehyung huffs. "If they don't take good care of him he's gone."
"Yeah right, you're gonna fall in love with him too," Namjoon says. "Its impossible not to. When Saebin stopped taking care of his rabbit I said I was going to get rid of it. But she's so fucking adorable, I couldn't."
Taehyung laughs, shaking his head. "I have four kids, I'm not adding a dog to the list."
"Who's that?" Jeongguk asks walking into the room.
"Namjoon," Taehyung says looking up at him.
"Hey, hyung," Jeongguk says climbing on the bed next to Taehyung.
"Hey, Gguk, how's it going?" Namjoon asks after Taehyung puts the phone on speaker.
"It's going," The ravenette answers. "You?"
"Same here pretty much," Namjoon laughs. "I can't complain."
"That's good," Jeongguk responds. "I hate to cut your conversation short but I have to have a serious conversation with Taehyung right now."
"About what?" Taehyung asks looking at him in confusion.
"That's fine, I was just calling to check in," Namjoon says. "Call me back whenever you're free."
"He will," Jeongguk says taking the phone and ending the call.
"What was that about?" Taehyung pouts as Jeongguk puts the phone on the nightstand. "I haven't heard from him in over two weeks, I wanted to talk for a while."
"You don't want to hear what I have to say?" Jeongguk asks. "I said it was important."
"If it was that important you would've told me when I first got here," Taehyung says, watching Jeongguk stand and shut the door. "What the hell are you doing, Jeongguk?"
"We need to talk," Jeongguk says locking the door. "It's about your attitude lately."
"What?" Taehyung asks, his expression falling blank as Jeongguk walks over to the bed.
"I can't help that you've been a bit agitated lately," Jeongguk says kneeling on the bed in front of the brunette. "You don't think so?"
"What's up with you?" Taehyung asks looking up at him. "I can't tell if you're serious or not."
"Oh, I'm serious," Jeongguk says grabbing Taehyung's ankles and uncrossing his legs. "Don't I look serious?"
"You're full of shit," Taehyung says, laughing when Jeongguk's serious expression falters and he smiles. "What, Jeongguk?"
"I just want to help you relax," Jeongguk says leaning forward until Taehyung is laying all the way back. "You're so tense lately, so high strung."
"I'm not sure what you're going for," Taehyung says looking up at him with humor shining in his eyes. "But right now, all I feel if offended."
"Here we are, with this perfect opportunity to screw, and you're talking about being offended?" Jeongguk asks making Taehyung laugh. "What?"
"I didn't take you as the shameless type," The brunette chuckles, putting his arms around Jeongguk's neck.
"Am I being shameless?" The ravenette asks, his eyes purposely lingering on the brunette's lips.
"Very," He responds, purposely licking his lips in a sensual manner. He can't help but smirk at the way Jeongguk's eyes darken.
"I guess it's just hard for me to hide how bad I want you," Jeongguk says, forcing his eyes up to look at the brunette. "You do that to me you know?"
"Where are the kids?" Taehyung asks.
"Watching a movie," Jeongguk chuckles. "Hyukjae's down for another twenty."
"Hm, twenty minutes, huh?" Taehyung smiles. "What can you do with twenty minutes?"
"Oh, I have a few ideas," Jeongguk says leaning in and finally kissing Taehyung. "You know I work best under pressure."
"Times ticking," Taehyung says tangling his fingers in Jeongguk's dark hair. "Relax me."
Jeongguk kisses Taehyung passionately, humming into the kiss when his hair is tugged at a bit harshly. Taehyung knows how much he loves that. He pulls away from the kiss, placing a few open mouthed kiss on the brunette's neck. "These next twenty minutes are about you, okay? Just you."
"Don't hold back,"
"Believe me, I won't."

"Matilda gave him a big hug and apologized for what she called him before. He was not odd, he was a hero and her new best friend, Hank, who was still unused to a lot of attention, turned pink and popped into a ball as all his new friends cheered him on. The end."
"One more?"
Taehyung shakes his head as he closes the book Jaein chose for bedtime tonight. "No more, guys, that's the third one."
"Please," They all start to beg in unison. Each of them trying to convince him to read one more.
"No, no, no," He laughs. "Come on, to your rooms boys. Say goodnight to your sister."
Jaehyung and Hanjae pout as they say goodnight, hugging Taehyung on their way out.
"I'll be there to check on you two in a minute," The brunette says blowing each of them a kiss. "Alright, Jaein-ah, in you go."
Jaein doesn't complain too much before climbing into bed, her eyes already getting heavy as she lays down.
"I love you, pretty girl," Taehyung says kissing her cheek. "Call me if you need me, okay?"
"Okay, love you too." Jaein says, yawning as she pulls her blanket over herself.
Taehyung leaves her room, leaving the door cracked before going to make sure the boys were laying down.
Once he's sure they are down he goes to his room, finding Jeongguk bouncing Hyukjae in his arms. "Don't rock him so much, Gguk," he whispers.
Jeongguk nods, rocking him slower. "I think he's out." He whispers. "Finally."
Taehyung smiles as Jeongguk sits down next to him with Hyukjae, looking down at the baby. "He's such a pretty baby."
"He takes after you," Jeongguk says looking up at him.
Taehyung pouts at the endearing compliment, leaning in and pecking Jeongguk's lips. "I love you,"
"I love you," Jeongguk says back. "I'm gonna try to put him down again."
"Good luck," Taehyung chuckles softly as Jeongguk stands, desperately trying not to wake the restless baby.
He returns a few minutes later. "He should be down for the count for at least seven hours."
"Great," Taehyung says checking his phone before locking the device. "Come lay with me."
Jeongguk laughs when Taehyung holds his arms out to him expectantly. "I thought I had four babies, not five."
"Come on," Taehyung says patting Jeongguk's spot in bed. "I just want to be close to you."
"Fine," Jeongguk says closing the door before joining Taehyung in bed. He smiles as Taehyung cuddles into him. He puts a secure arm around is waist, holding him close as they relax into each other. "Better?"
"Mhm," Taehyung hums, closing his eyes with a sigh. "Can I ask you something?"
"Yeah, what's wrong?" Jeongguk asks.
"Nothing's wrong," Taehyung says, his eyes still shut as he continues. "I just want to know if you're happy. With us, with the move, y'know, with everything."
"I am,"
"Really?"
"Yeah, I really am."
Taehyung nods, sighing softly. "I'm glad. I'm happy too."
Jeongguk smiles softly. "This is all I ever wanted, Taehyung. You, and this family...I used to dream about times like this."
"Me too," Taehyung chuckles. "I'm so happy we're finally here."
"Me too," Jeongguk says. "I wouldn't rather be anywhere else."
Taehyung sits up to cut his light off, Jeongguk doing the same before they cuddle back up to one another. Taehyung smiles to himself as he focused on the sound of Jeongguk's breathing, matching his own to his.
His mind wonders back to the night he met Jeongguk, before his entire life changed. He often wonders what would have happened if he would've let Namjoon stop him from going out that night.
He wonders if he would've have still, somehow, crossed Jeongguk's path.
He never thought about what would happen if they never met, because for some reason it felt like they always would.
Jeongguk was his meant to be, the universe would have brought him into his life regardless of how that night went all those years ago. And that truly made him tingle with joy and happiness.
He would always be eternally grateful for whatever beings that brought them together.
"I love you, Gguk."
"I know. I love you more, Tae."
