"It's going to be sad to see you guys go,"
"I know, I'm sad to leave, but it has to be done. We've been here for eight years now."
Jeongguk sighs as he searches through the bathroom cabinets for the shampoo that Taehyung was asking for.
"Appa, can we leave now?" Jaehyung asks popping his head in the bathroom. "You said it was time to go, like, a long time ago."
"I know, Jae, I'm just getting the stuff Dada asked for." Jeongguk says looking at him. "Go wait downstairs with your brother and sister."
Jaehyung huffs as he leaves the room. They've all been anxious to get to the hospital to see Taehyung.
"You're taking them now?" Seokjin asks.
"Yeah, they've been bugging me since I picked them up from school," Jeongguk says putting the last of Taehyung's toiletries in his toiletry bag.
"I won't keep you then," Seokjin says. "Congrats on buying the house, and good luck with everything."
"Thanks, hyung. We'll see you soon, okay?"
"Okay, bye-bye,"
Jeongguk checks over the bathroom once more to be sure he isn't forgetting anything before heading downstairs.
"Alright, let's file out," He says waving them to the door. "Dada's expecting us."
"Finally," Hanjae says as they all get up from the couch. "Are we going straight there."
"Yep, straight there," Jeongguk says picking Jaein up. He puts her in the car, making sure Hanjae and Jaehyung are buckled in as well before heading to the hospital.
He makes sure to give them a rundown on how to behave when they get there, knowing how boisterous they can get when they're excited.
"Okay, remember what I said?" He asks when they're right outside the room. "Be gentle, with the baby and Dada, and use your inside voices."
"Okay," Jaehyung and Hanjae nod in understanding, Jaein following their lead and nodding as well.
Jeongguk nods before opening the door, letting the kids walk in first. Taehyung immediately smiles when he sees them, the baby nestled in his arms when they walk in.
"Easy," Jeongguk warns as Jaehyung and Hanjae rush over.
"It's okay, Gguk," Taehyung says looking at him. His eyes falling to Jaein, who stands behind Jeongguk with an apprehensive expression. "Do you want to see the baby, Jaein?"
She nods but she doesn't move any closer, clinging to Jeongguk's shirt.
"Look, Jaein," Jeongguk says picking her up and stepping closer. She looks at the baby, a small smile forming on her face.
Jaehyung and Hanjae look at the baby in awe as well, they couldn't believe it was finally here.
"You made that?" Jaehyung asks looking at Taehyung.
Jeongguk laughs at the question. "Yeah, he did."
Taehyung cuts his eye at him before looking back at the baby. "Do you want to hear his name?"
"Yeah," Hanjae says looking down at the baby.
"His name is Kim Hyukjae," Taehyung says. "Do you like it?
"Hyukjae," Hanjae says testing the name out. "So, Hanjae, Jaehyung, Jaein, and Hyukjae?"
Taehyung nods, chuckling softly. "He's the last one, might as well keep the theme going."
"Why isn't it crying?" Jaehyung asks. "Babies usually cry when they're born, right? They do on tv."
"Yeah, he cried a little. But he's happy now because you guys are here." Taehyung says smiling up at Jeongguk. "Hi,"
"Hi," Jeongguk chuckles, leaning down and kissing him, earning a chorus of groans from the kids.
"Please, how do you think you got here?" Taehyung laughs.
"Kissing makes babies?" Hanjae asks.
"Wait, does that mean you just made a baby?" Jaehyung asks with wide eyes. "Again?"
"But this one just got here~" Hanjae starts.
"Alright guys, pipe down," Jeongguk says putting Jaein down. "Do you want to hold him?"
"No," Jaehyung says looking down at him. "I'll just watch."
"I don't want to," Hanjae says shaking his head. "Will you come home now?"
"No, I have to stay until tomorrow, bubba." Taehyung pouts. "But I'll be home after tomorrow."
Hanjae deflates a little. "Oh,"
"We'll come see him tomorrow, Hanie," Jaehyung says looking at his brother. "Plus we can sleep in the bed with Appa."
"Not again," Jeongguk says. "Our bed wasn't made for four people."
"Don't be mean, Gguk," Taehyung pouts.
Jeongguk shakes his head. "Whatever, alright, I don't care."
Jeongguk stays for the remaining of the visiting hours before deciding that they should head home. Expectantly, the three of them protest against leaving so soon.
"School tomorrow, guys, come on." He says taking the baby from Taehyung. "Say bye to dada."
"Give me a hug," Taehyung says opening his arms to the three of them. "I'll see you tomorrow, okay? I love you guys."
"Love you too," Jaehyung says hugging Taehyung along with Hanjae and Jaein.
"You'll be alright?" Jeongguk asks putting the baby in the crib beside Taehyung's bed.
"Yeah," Taehyung chuckles. "I'll call if I get lonely."
"Okay, I'll be here for you after I drop them off tomorrow," Jeongguk says kissing his forehead. "I love you, take care of yourself."
"I will, take care of my kids," Taehyung says. "Make sure you sign their reading logs, and don't forget to tuck Jae and Hanie's shirts in, they got already got a mark last week."
"Who knew elementary school teachers were so anal about tucking in shirts." Jeongguk says rolling his eyes as he picks Jaein up. "I won't forget, I promise."
"Okay, bye you guys." Taehyung chuckles. "I love you."
"Love you too," Jeongguk says before leading the kids out of the room, shutting the door behind him. "What do you guys think?"
"He's quiet, that's a good thing," Jaehyung says holding Jeongguk's hand.
"He was only quiet because we were there," Hanjae says. "He's probably already crying right now."
"Yeah, like a baby," Jaein laughs.
"It is a baby," Jaehyung says narrowing his eyes at her. "And so are you."
"Not really, Jae, she's gonna be six~" Hanjae starts in her defense.
"Alrighty, let's play the quiet game," Jeongguk says interrupting them. "Whoever stays quiet all the way home gets to stay up an hour after bedtime."
"For real?" Jaehyung asks with wide eyes.
"For real, starting now," Jeongguk says pressing the button for the elevator. "Zip it, lock it, and hand over the key."
The boys immediately zip their lips and hand over their keys, looking at each other with competitive looks in their eyes.
"Jaein?" Jeongguk says holding his hand out. She smiles as she hands over her key. "Alright, let's see who wins."
"It's gonna be me," Jaein says.
"You just loss," Jaehyung laughs.
"So did you, Jae," Hanjae says, resulting in the three of them bickering all over again.
Jeongguk sighs, leading them to the car in defeat.

"You got married!?"
"Oh my god, hyung~"
"Do not 'oh my god hyung' me, are you serious?"
Taehyung laughs at Seokjin's expression as he pulls his pants up his legs. "Don't make me laugh, it hurts."
"When? Wha~ how? Where the fuck was I?" Seokjin asks looking at him in disbelief.
"I was going to tell you, everything just got busy and the baby came," Taehyung says. "I'm sorry."
"Hyukjae just puked all over my favorite shirt," Jeongguk says walking in the room. "What are we sorry about?"
"I told him we got married," Taehyung says sitting on the end of the bed.
"Oh," Jeongguk says with a nonchalant shrug as he pulls his shirt off.
"Why are you guys acting like this isn't a huge deal?" Seokjin asks. "I'm your best friend, how could you not tell me?"
"I thought Yoongi or Hoseok would've told you by now," Jeongguk says from inside the closet.
"You told them before me?" Seokjin asks.
"It just came up," Taehyung says pulling his socks on. "I was going to tell you."
"I'm seriously wounded," Seokjin says dramatically as he clutches his chest.
"It was really lowkey, and it wasn't a huge deal," Jeongguk says walking out of the closet in a new shirt. "We only did it so I could ditch my surname."
"Yeah, so we all could have the same one," Taehyung says. "We literally signed the papers in like ten minutes. I promise it wasn't a big deal."
"Where's the sentiment?" Seokjin asks. "I can't believe you two."
"You were the first to know about the house if that makes you feel better," Jeongguk says as the doorbell sounds from downstairs. "That's Yoongi and Hoseok."
"I'll get the baby," Taehyung says so that Jeongguk can go greet them.
"Are you still in pain, Taehyung?" Seokjin asks after noticing that he was limping slightly.
"I'm fine," Taehyung says dismissively. "I'll meet you downstairs."
"Alright, be careful," Seokjin says before splitting off and going downstairs.
Taehyung walks past the boys' room on his way to get Hyukjae and finds Hanjae sitting on his bed with Jeongguk's phone. "Are you alright, bubba?"
"Mhm," He nods without looking up from the phone. "Appa said I had five more minutes."
"Okay, Yoongi and Hoseok are here so come say hi when you're finished." Taehyung says, waiting for his response before going to get Hyukjae.
When he gets downstairs Yoongi and Hoseok are sitting down with everyone in the living room.
"Oh my goodness, look at him," Hoseok smiles, already standing to take Hyukjae off his hands.
"Aren't you happy to see me at all, hyung?" Taehyung laughs as he hands him off.
"I'm always happy to see you, baby," Hoseok smiles, looking down at Hyukjae. "He's adorable, and he has that new baby smell."
"Okay, Hobi, stop being a fucking weirdo," Yoongi says. "Come here so I can see him."
Jeongguk laughs at them from where he sits on the ground with the girls, letting them paint his nails with the kit Seokjin brought them.
"Hyung?" Taehyung starts as he sits down beside Seokjin.
"Yeah?" The adults say in unison, lifting their heads and looking at him expectantly.
"Me?" Jeongguk asks looking at him.
"When has he ever called you hyung?" Hoseok laughs at the ravenette.
"Seokjin-hyung," Taehyung clarifies with a smile. "How far are Namjoon and Saebin again?"
"Oh, they were fifteen minutes away last time I checked." Seokjin says. "They should be getting here soon."
"Dada, can I have your phone?" Jaehyung asks looking at Taehyung.
"You already played on it earlier, paint your nails with your sister." Taehyung says nodding at Jaein and Yebin.
Jaehyung pouts but he doesn't protest as he joins them on the ground. "I want blue,"
"Appa already has blue," Jaein says holding up Jeongguk's hand.
"I think you want red, Jae," Yebin says handing him the red polish.
"This better be dry in five minutes," Jeongguk says looking down at his hands.
"Daddy said it was quick dry," Yebin says adding another color to his left hand while Jaein works on the right.
"You're going to be stunning, Jeongguk," Seokjin jokes from the sidelines.
"I better be, I been sitting here for like ten minutes." Jeongguk laughs.
The front door opens getting their attention as Saebin and Namjoon walk in with the food they order.
"There was a fifteen dollar up charge for not calling ahead," Saebin says to Jeongguk as he hands him the receipt and his debit card.
"That's fine," Jeongguk says nodding for him to hand it to Taehyung.
"Thank you," Taehyung says. "Jaehyung, can you get your brother, please?"
"But I just~" Jaehyung starts to protest.
"Hey," Jeongguk says. "Dada asked you nicely."
Jaehyung sighs as he stands, making sure he doesn't smudge the polish on his nails. "When I have kids, I'm not gonna tell them what to do. I'm just gonna let them do what they want."
"You've got a long time to think about that," Jeongguk laughs.
"What are you doing?" Saebin asks taking Jaehyung's spot beside his sister.
"Making Appa pretty," Jaein says. "You should do black, oppa,"
"Go ahead and eat guys, come on," Seokjin says. "There will be plenty of time for that after."
"Okay, don't move, Appa," Jaein says as she stands with Yebin and Saebin.
"What if I want to eat too?" Jeongguk asks but they're already gone.
"I'll get it for you," Seokjin says standing. "You don't want to ruin all their hard work."
"I'll take him, hyung," Taehyung says holding his arms out to Hobi. "He should be hungry too."
"Do you want to eat now?" Yoongi asks looking down at Minseok who sat quietly in his arms. He shakes his head in response. "No?"
"No," Minseok answers. "Wanna paint too."
"You can ask Yebin and Jaein when they get back," Yoongi says. "I'm sure they'll say yes."
Jeongguk smiles at Yoongi and Minseok's interaction. Standing from the ground and taking the free seat next to Taehyung. "Are you okay?"
"Yeah," Taehyung says looking down at Hyukjae as he feeds him his bottle. "He's probably going to fall asleep after this."
"Are you okay, Tae?" Jeongguk asks, putting his arm around him.
"I am," Taehyung says looking up at him. "What?"
"Nothing, I'm just making sure," Jeongguk smiles. "You were upset earlier."
"I wasn't upset," The brunette sighs. "I was just emotional over the move, that's all."
"I understand, I am too." Jeongguk says. "It'll be worth it though. I promise."
"I believe you," Taehyung says, offer him a small smile.
Everyone gathers in the living room with their food, finding a spot even though it's slightly crowded.
Jeongguk takes Hyukjae upstairs after his bottle before he and Taehyung join them with their food.
There's a moment when the conversation isn't directed towards him and he takes the time to look around at all their friends. A fond smile forming on his face as he watches them interact with each other.
He thinks back to when he first met Taehyung and his friends, and a nostalgic feeling washes over him. He never thought that he'd be so close to these people, not in a thousand years.
It's bittersweet, thinking about moving over two hours away from his friends. The distance seemed drastic, especially since they all currently lived within fifteen minutes of each other. But he knew it would be worth it to get out of Seoul.
There were too many memories attached to this city. Though most of them were good, a lot of them were terrible. And they continuously loomed over their life, even if they went unnoticed most of the time.
Taehyung and Jeongguk both agreed that they could use a fresh start. The timing wasn't great, considering the new baby, but if they waited they'd probably just talk themselves out of leaving.
Even though they'd miss their friends, and they'd miss this house, and this town...it'd be worth it.
