"You're putting too much pressure on yourself."

Taehyung sighs as he looks down at the pregnancy test in his hand. Not pregnant. "I felt so sure this time."

"It's okay, Taehyung." Jeongguk says sitting next to him on the bed and putting his arm around him. "It's only February, there's still March and April."

"We've been trying for months now." Taehyung says looking up at him. "What if I already missed my window, like Dr. Song said."

"She said we had a 85% chance." Jeongguk says. "Our odds are good, better than most."

Taehyung nods, looking down at the test with a disappointed look in his eyes. "I should make sure the boys are asleep."

"Are you sure you're okay?" Jeongguk asks, already knowing the answer just by looking at Taehyung's face.

"Yeah, I'm fine." Taehyung says, offering the ravenette a small smile. "Really, Gguk."

"Okay," Jeongguk says. "I love you."

"I know, I love you too." The brunette says, his smile growing when Jeongguk kisses his cheek.

The doorbell rings, bringing confused expressions to their faces.

"Who could that be?" Taehyung asks as Jeongguk checks the time on his phone.

"I don't know. I'll get it." The ravenette says standing. "Make sure it didn't wake up the kids."

They both stand and leave the room, Taehyung going to check on the kids and
Jeongguk skipping down the stairs to get the door.

When he pulls the front door open he finds Hyungsik standing there, backpack hanging off his shoulder. "Hey, uhm, what are you doing here?"

"Sorry for coming so late, did I wake you?" Hyungsik asks instead of answering his question.

"No, what's up?" Jeongguk asks, looking behind him to see if Taehyung was coming before turning back and speaking in a lower voice.

"Nothing, it's just that Jihyuk said it's going to take a couple days to process all the paperwork. And he doesn't want me leaving the country until everything's final." Hyungsik says. "I don't have anywhere else to go."

"You can't go to your parents' house?" Jeongguk asks in the same low voice.

"We aren't really on good terms." Hyungsik says. "After I blew all the money they saved for me to go to college."

Jeongguk sighs, thinking for a second. "I'll give you money for a hotel for a few nights. Taehyung's not going to want you to stay here~"

"The kids are still down, Gguk." Taehyung says walking down the stairs. "Who's...What's he doing here?"

"Uhm...His flight got canceled so he's here for a few days and he needs a place to stay." Jeongguk says. "I was just saying that I'd put him up in a hotel until his flight was rescheduled."

"Did you sign the papers for Jihyuk?" Taehyung asks standing beside Jeongguk with his arms crossed.

"Yeah," Hyungsik nods.

"There's no reason to spend unnecessary money when he can stay here, it's fine, Jeongguk." The brunette shrugs. "The guest room is still set up."

"Are you sure?" Jeongguk asks.

"I don't care." Taehyung shrugs again before walking to the kitchen.

Jeongguk follows him with his eyes, sighing softly before gesturing for Hyungsik to come in.

"Is he okay?" The older asks as he follows Jeongguk upstairs.

"Yeah, we're just dealing with some personal issues right now." Jeongguk says shortly as he leads him to the end of the hall where the guest room was. "Towels and everything are in the bathroom, and extra blankets are in the closet if you need them."

"Okay, thanks." Hyungsik says shrugging his backpack off. "As soon as everything is finalized I'm gone. I swear."

Jeongguk nods. "We're having breakfast tomorrow with our friends so be up to help us cook. Let me know if you need anything, try not to bother Taehyung."

"Got it." Hyungsik nods.

"Alright." Jeongguk sighs as he leaves the room, pulling the door shut behind himself before going downstairs to the kitchen. He finds Taehyung sitting at the kitchen table looking down at his phone. "You okay?"

"Yeah," he says locking the device as Jeongguk sits down across from him. "I accidentally agreed to get Jaehyung a dog if his next report was satisfactory."

"We can worry about that later, I want to know what's going on with you." Jeongguk chuckles. "What're you feeling?"

"I don't know." Taehyung sighs, looking down at his hands. "I just feel like my life is all over the place."

"Why?" Jeongguk asks, putting his his hand out for Taehyung's.

"I don't know..." The brunette says putting his hand in his. "I'm falling behind on my lesson plans at school, Jaehyung's struggling academically and Hanjae's struggling socially. Jaein's not on the same maturity level as the other kids her age in school. I can't get pregnant...and on top of all of that Hyungsik's back in my life and I'm adopted."

"I thought it didn't bother you." Jeongguk says, he was happy that Taehyung was bringing up the situation.

"I try not to let it. But I can't help but wonder who my real parents are." Taehyung sighs. "And why they didn't want me, y'know? I-I want to know if it's a good reason or if they just didn't want me to disrupt their lives."

"It doesn't matter, Taehyung. Just know that they really screwed up by giving up the chance to raise someone as amazing as you. And your parents are lucky to have you." Jeongguk says squeezing his hand. "If you did wanted to find them, I'd help you."

"I don't, there's no point," Taehyung says. "Thank you for saying that."

"It's the truth. And when it comes to the kids, they'll all get better. Jaehyung's really desperate for a dog so I know for a fact he's bringing home a satisfactory progress report. And Hanjae's doing the best he can, so is Jaein. They're little still, just give it time."

Taehyung nods, he smiles but it doesn't meet his eyes. "You're right."

Jeongguk pouts at the brunette when his sad eyes meet his. "Taehyung,"

He nods again, pulling his hand away as tears flood in his eyes. "I'm sorry~"

"No, it's okay," Jeongguk says standing and walking around the table. "Everything's okay, I promise."

"I know," Taehyung sighs, standing as well and stepping into Jeongguk's open arms and letting him hold him close. He closes his eyes, taking a deep breath to control his breathing. "I hope my brother doesn't ruin breakfast tomorrow."

"He won't," Jeongguk chuckles, running his fingers through Taehyung's hair gently. "You don't have to worry about getting up early, I'll get everything done in the morning."

    "No~"

"You're stressed out, you should sleep in for once." Jeongguk says kissing Taehyung on the cheek before pulling away from the hug. "Go upstairs, I'll bring you some tea to help you relax."

"Okay," Taehyung sighs, wiping away the remainder of his tears. "Thank you."

"You're welcome." The ravenette says as he walks over to the cabinets.

Taehyung sighs as he climbs the stairs, stopping to peek inside the kids room before going to his own. He stops short before walking into his bedroom, sighing to himself as he walks to the guess room at the end of the hall. He knocks lightly on the door before Hyungsik answers. "Hey~"

"Hey, Taehyung." He says. "I was hoping I'd get to thank you for letting me stay~"

"It's not a problem," Taehyung says quickly. "I just~ I wanted to apologize for being so upset when you first got here~"

"You don't have~"

"I do," Taehyung starts. "I didn't know you were...I didn't know we were adopted. And I didn't know that you ran away because they told you." He says, swallowing hard before continuing. "I didn't realize it until earlier that I kind of ran away too when I found out. Not for four plus years, but still."

Hyungsik cracks a small smile. "I wanted to tell you why I was leaving, Tae, but they made me promise I wouldn't. They wanted to tell you when you were leaving for school too. But they were scared to after what I did. And I'm sorry about that."

Taehyung shrugs, shaking his head. "It doesn't matter. All of that is in the past and we both know now so the least we could do is be there for each other."

"Yeah, totally." Hyungsik nods. "Thank you."

"Yeah," Taehyung nods. "And just know that I wouldn't've been pissed at you if I didn't love you."

"I love you too, Tae." The older nods. "Always."

Taehyung nods again. "Goodnight, hyung."

"'Night," Hyungsik says back before Taehyung leaves the room. Shutting the door behind himself.

He sighs as he goes to his room, climbing into bed and sitting back against the headboard. He grabs a book out of the small pile on his bedside table to read as he winds down. Jeongguk brings him his tea and reads until he's finished it.

Even though he was stressed about a lot right now it felt good to at least try to relax. He just had to trust that everything would work itself out for the better.
