"You seem a little off today, Taehyung."

Taehyung shakes his head, forcing himself to smile a little at Seokjin. "I'm just tired. That's all." He says waving a dismissive hand. "How are you? Did you talk to Namjoon?"

To say that Taehyung seemed a little off was an understatement, the brunette seems way more than 'a little off.' His eyes were sad and distant as he sat across from Seokjin at the ramen place they were at. His hair disheveled and his outfit thrown together.

Everything about him today was so unlike him.

"I did, he was way more excited than I expected him to be." Seokjin chuckles softly. "He thinks we should keep it."

"I knew he wouldn't be upset." Taehyung nods, still trying his best to keep a small smile on his face. "You guys are going to do great together as parents."

Seokjin smiles sadly at Taehyung, tilting his head in concern. "What's going on with you, Taehyung? And don't say it's nothing, I can tell it's something."

"Please, hyung, I'm fine. I promise." The brunette says rolling his eyes slightly. "I'm just feeling a little under the weather I guess."

"Oh no, why didn't you say anything?" Seokjin pouts before he starts gathering his things. "Come on, I'll take you home so I can take care of you."

"No!" Taehyung says quickly, his eyes widening as he stops Seokjin. "I-I mean, no come on, hyung. It's the only day we have to ourselves. I'm fine enough to stay."

"Okay, if you say so." The older says setting his keys back on the table with a suspicious look in his eyes. "You're just not yourself today."

"I know, I'll be back to my regular self in no time." Taehyung smiles, but the thought of ever feeling normal again felt so out of reach.

He couldn't explain what he was going through to his friends. He couldn't even explain it to himself. He didn't understand why he felt so violated by what Joohyuk did, especially when he did nothing to stop him. He just laid there and let it happen, even though it felt all wrong. He didn't say 'no', he didn't protest anymore after Joohyuk first ignored him. So why did he feel like he had been taken advantage of?

It's like it was happening all over again, he felt powerless. Somehow even more so than he did when Jaehyung was taken from the hospital, which he was ashamed to admit.

The powerlessness that he thought he was finally going to overcome was suffocating him all over again. To the point where he felt like he couldn't breathe when he was with Joohyuk.

How does he explain that to anyone?

"...so we're going to sit down together and break the news to Saebin." Taehyung hears Seokjin say as he zones back in. "I have a feeling he already suspects that I'm pregnant."

"Really?" Taehyung asks pushing the remainder of his ramen around the bowl, he didn't have much of an appetite.

"Yeah, I've been telling him that we have some exciting news for a few days now. He guessed that we were getting a puppy but I told him it was even better than a puppy." Seokjin chuckles. "I hope he's happy."

"I'm sure he will be. He's obsessed with the twins, he'd love having a baby around the house." Taehyung smiles, his smile quickly dropping when his phone chimes with a message from Joohyuk asking him where he is. "Uhm, I'm sorry to end things so abruptly, hyung. I actually have to get going."

"Okay, I'll take you~"

"No, it's fine. I'll just call a car." Taehyung says standing quickly. "It was nice seeing you, I'm sorry to cut things short."

"No, it's fine. Are you sure I can't drive you?" Seokjin asks hugging the brunette. "I don't mind.

"I'm sure." Taehyung says pulling away from the hug. "I'll, uhm, I'll call when I get home."

"Okay. Be safe." Seokjin says before Taehyung rushes off looking down at his phone.

Something was definitely off about his behavior.

~Jeongguk's house...~

Jeongguk laughs as Jimin tries to show him the proper way to pipe a cupcake, he was failing miserably.

"Oh my god, Jeongguk, no!" Jimin laughs in frustration as he tries to guide his hands properly. "I swear, you're worse than Jaehyung at following directions."

"What, I'm doing exactly what you said!" Jeongguk laughs in his defense. "It looks exactly like yours."

"Don't insult me like that." Jimin says looking up at Jeongguk. "Yours is literally a wreck."

Jeongguk takes some icing on his finger and smears it on Jimin's cheek. "There, now you're my masterpiece."

"Asshole," Jimin laughs pushing him away as he grabs a paper towel to wipe the frosting off. "You're actually the least artistic person I know."

"Least artistic? I'm artistic, you're just being too technical." Jeongguk says picking up the piping bag.

"Just let me do it." Jimin says reaching for the bag.

"No, I'll do it." The ravenette says focusing extra hard to make the cupcakes look nice. "You shouldn't tell me I can't do something, Jimin. Haven't you learned that by now?"

"Whatever." The older chuckles as he goes to wash his hands. Looking out into the living room to check on the twins. "I think Jaehyung's getting bored with the piano."

Jeongguk looks up from the cupcakes to find the one year old cruising along the coffee table reaching for the tv remote. "Why can't he be as calm as Hanjae?"

Jimin chuckles softly at Jeongguk's remark before turning to the sink.

"Mama," Jaehyung babbles as he waddles over to Jeongguk with the remote.

"Thank you, baby." Jeongguk says taking the remote from him and sitting it on the counter.

Jaehyung crawls back to the living room to find something else to bring Jeongguk. The one year old recently made a game out of bringing Jeongguk items from other rooms, which seemed harmless until he had to put every little thing back in the proper place.

He returns to the kitchen after a few minutes, crawling with the second remote in his hand. "Mama,"

"Thank you, baby." Jeongguk says taking the remote.

"I'll stop him." Jimin laughs drying his hands. "It's almost time for them to eat, huh?"

"Yeah, I'll fix it in a second." Jeongguk says without looking away for the cupcakes.

Jimin smiles as he scoops Jaehyung up, taking him to the living room and sitting him down next to Hanjae on the ground. "Are you okay, Hanie?"

Hanjae continues to play with his learning mushroom garden without a care in the world. He was such a calm baby compared to Jaehyung, it worried Taehyung and Jeongguk sometimes but his doctor told them that it was nothing to worry about.

Jeongguk's phone vibrates against the counter as he's making the boys' dinner. Taehyung's number popping up on the screen.

"Hey, Tae, what's up?" He answers, he was confused about why the brunette was calling on one of his days with the twins. They usually don't talk unless it's about pick ups or drop offs.

    "Hey, Jeongguk, are you busy?"

Jeongguk immediately notices the strange tone behind Taehyung's voice, it wasn't hard to hear the difference between Taehyung's usual tone and the one he had now.

"No, what's wrong?" The ravenette asks. "Are you okay?"

"I'm fine." Taehyung says quickly. "I was just, uhm...I was wondering if you could keep the twins tomorrow night. I-I know you have to work but if you could leave them with Jimin, that'd be great."

"I don't think he'd mind." Jeongguk says looking over at Jimin, who is busy trying to entertain the boys. "Are you sure you're okay? You sound strange."

Jeongguk hears a muffled voice in the background before Taehyung responds.

"Y-Yeah, I'm fine. A-Are you sure Jimin's okay with watching the twins?"

"Yeah, I'm sure, but what's wrong?"

"Nothing, Jeongguk. Thank you for keeping them, I'll be there for them after school on Tuesday."

Jeongguk is unconvinced that everything is one hundred percent okay with Taehyung but he doesn't question him anymore. "Okay. I'll see you then."

"Thank you."

~Taehyung's apartment...~

"Thank you."

Taehyung ends the call with a heavy sigh. Clutching his phone in his trembling hands as he looks down at the pregnancy test sitting on the edge of the tub.

"Taehyung, seriously, I'm about to leave!" Joohyuk says banging on the bathroom door. "What's your fucking problem?"

"Then leave, Joohyuk!" Taehyung snaps with tears in his eyes. "I don't want you here anyways!"

"You're so fucking stupid, Taehyung!" The older says punching the door. "Be that way if you want, I'm gone! You hear me?"

Taehyung cries as he sits down against the bathroom wall, covering his face with his hands.

"I didn't come all the way here for you to lock yourself in the goddamn bathroom and ignore me!" Joohyuk continues to shout. "I'm gone!"

Taehyung sobs into his hands, trembling as his tears flowed freely. He couldn't take a proper breath no matter how hard he tried. Every time he looked at the pregnancy test it felt like his life was ending.

This couldn't be happening, there's no way this was happening to him. He's been so careful with Joohyuk, he's been taking every necessary step to avoid this situation. How could this have happened?

"No...god, please no." He sobs into his hands. "This can't happen."

The positive pregnancy test stares back at Taehyung almost mockingly, making him feel even more sick to his stomach than he already did.

It wasn't the fact that he was pregnant that was upsetting him this much, it was the way it happened. He knew that it had to happen that night, it had to have happened that night.

His phone rings against the bathroom floor, Jeongguk's name showing up on the screen. He reaches for the device but he doesn't answer, he can't. The phone rings out after a few more rings, a voicemail notification popping up after a couple of minutes.

Taehyung opens the message with trembling hands, his breathing still uneven as he cries.

"Hey, Tae, it's me. I know we just talked but something didn't seem right about you before so I'm calling back. Just text me or something so I know that you're good. Call me if you can, I'm worried about you. Just let me know that you're okay."

Taehyung replays the voicemail as he tries to gain control of his breathing. He didn't know why, but it was easier to breath when he was focusing on the Jeongguk's voice.

He pulls his knees to his chest and lays his head down on them, breathing in through his nose and out through his mouth.

"...I'm worried about you. Just let me know that you're okay."

He wants to call Jeongguk back just to tell him how not okay he was, but he refrains. Calling Jeongguk would be selfish of him, especially now that the ravenette was finally finding his own balance in life and his own happiness.

He couldn't turn his life upside down because of his own stupid decisions.
