    "I don't get it."

"What?"

"He didn't smile once the entire time we were talking."

Jeongguk looks at Namjoon and Taehyung from where he and Seokjin are standing in the kitchen. After receiving the call that Taehyung wanted to speak to him Namjoon rushed right over. The two have been talking for over an hour now and Taehyung's entire demeanor was different.

"Namjoon's his best friend." Jeongguk shrugs before going to sit down, focusing on his laptop.

"He's my friend too though," Seokjin says looking at the two once more before following him. "I want him to open up to me."

"He'll come around." The ravenette says optimistically. Taehyung had barely spoken to him either since he's been back, he wasn't taking it as personal as Seokjin.

"Has he talked to you about Joohyuk?" Seokjin asks sitting across from Jeongguk.

"Not really." He shrugs. "I asked about him but he wasn't open about what happened. He just isn't ready."

Seokjin nods, he knew that Taehyung would open up when he was ready.

"You're ridiculous." Taehyung laughs at Namjoon. "Does he know?"

"No, he thinks Saebin's the only one that knows." The older chuckles. "He's never going to expect it."

"That's going to be great. He's gonna love that." The brunette smiles. "You're so thoughtful, hyung."

"I try to be." Namjoon nods with a smile. "I really do want to do everything right. Especially for Saebin, y'know."

"I get it," Taehyung says. "Is he excited about the baby?"

"I think so. He keeps saying he'd rather get a dog but I think he'll feel differently when the baby is here." The older says. "But that's enough talk about me. I feel like we've been talking about me this entire time. Tell me how you're doing, really. How's the baby?"

"The baby's fine. The last time I went to the doctor they said everything was normal." Taehyung sighs softly. "I'm not keeping it, so..."

"No?" Namjoon asks after Taehyung trails off.

"No. I don't think I can take care of it." The brunette says. "I know it's probably shitty of me~"

"No, of course not," Namjoon says quickly. "As long as you're one hundred percent sure about your decision then I support it."

"Everyone keeps saying that but it doesn't feel like they do," Taehyung says glancing off with a sigh.

"I do support your decision, Tae. It just doesn't seem like you support your decision." Namjoon says honestly. "What do you really want to do?"

    "I don't think I can have this baby, Namjoon~"

"I didn't ask what you thought, I asked what you wanted."

Taehyung sighs, looking down in thought for a moment. "I don't know...I just don't want to keep it and regret it. What if..."

"What if what?" Namjoon asks, listening intently to the younger as he continues.

"What if it looks like him?" Taehyung asks without looking up. "What if it has his eyes...or his smile? What if it reminds me too much of him?"

"It doesn't matter how much they remind you of him, Taehyung, they'll never be him," Namjoon says firmly. "And even if they look like him they'll still look like you too. It's a baby, your baby."

Taehyung keeps his eyes down, avoiding the look he knew Namjoon was giving him.

"It's still one hundred percent your decision." The older says when Taehyung doesn't respond. "And I support whatever decision you make."

Taehyung sighs softly, offering Namjoon a small smile. "Thanks, hyung."

"I'm really sorry any of this ever happened," Namjoon says, a somber look settling over his features. "I wish I could've done something."

"Don't apologize, Joon, it's not your fault," Taehyung says, it seemed like everyone wanted to apologize for something that he let happen. He let Joohyuk into his life, he got pregnant, and he let Joohyuk take control of his life.

"I hate to break up the party but we have to take Saebin to the dentist," Seokjin says walking into the living room with Jeongguk.

"Oh, shoot I completely forgot about that," Namjoon says checking the time on his phone as he stands. "Sorry to run, Tae, we'll talk more later. Maybe we can go out or something."

"Sure." Taehyung says forcing a small smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes.

"Come on, Sae, we're going to be late," Seokjin calls before he says goodbye to Taehyung. "It was really good seeing you, Tae. I'm glad you're alright."

"Thank you, it was good seeing you too, hyung." The brunette says as Saebin rushes down the stairs.

"Walk, dude," Jeongguk says. "I'm not paying your medical bills if you fall."

"I don't have medical bills, dude," Saebin says jumping off the last step. "Daddy, can I come back after the dentist?"

"No, Jeongguk and Taehyung are going to be busy later," Seokjin says helping the seven-year-old into his coat.

"Are you gonna be busy later?" Saebin asks looking up at Jeongguk.

"Yeah, kid, I'm sorry. We can hang out again another time." Jeongguk promises as Saebin walks over to hug him. "Take it easy on your dad, alright?"

"Alright." Saebin pouts as he hugs Jeongguk, skipping over to Taehyung and kneeling on the couch to hug him too. "I missed you, hyung."

"Aw, I missed you too, Saebin," Taehyung says hugging him back. "It was nice seeing you."

"Jk, take it easy on Taehyung," Saebin says as Seokjin ushers him out. "Since he has a baby too."

"Alright," Jeongguk says, laughing a little at Saebin's use of his words. "See you guys."

"See you," Namjoon says as he closes the door behind himself.

Silence settles over the room for a moment before Jeongguk speaks up.

"You okay?" He asks, walking over and taking a seat across from Taehyung on the couch. "You look like you have a lot on your mind."

"I'm fine." Taehyung shrugs. "I just have a lot to figure out in a short amount of time."

Jeongguk nods in understanding. "What was Namjoon saying?"

Taehyung sighs softly, avoiding Jeongguk's eyes. "He just made me realize that maybe adoption isn't really what I want to do."

"Yeah?" Jeongguk asks in slight shock. "You think you want to keep the baby?"

"I don't know." The brunette says. "I just don't want to feel guilty about it for the rest of my life."

"You still have time to think about it. The baby isn't due until when?"

"December 27th."

"That's a decent amount of time," Jeongguk says, mostly being optimistic for Taehyung's sake. "If you do decide to keep it you know I'll~"

"No, Jeongguk~"

"I wouldn't mind~"

"I know you wouldn't mind, but I couldn't accept that," Taehyung says shaking his head. "I'm going to get my shit together if I decide to keep the baby."

"Why wouldn't you let me help?" Jeongguk asks. "If you keep the baby it'd be Hanjae and Jaehyung's sibling so it would be reasonable."

"Not to me," Taehyung says fidgeting with his hands. "This isn't something you can just fix, Jeongguk."

"I think that's kind of stupid," Jeongguk says, he didn't understand what the harm was in helping Taehyung until he got back on his feet.

"What happened to supporting my decisions?" Taehyung asks looking up at Jeongguk, hurt shining behind his eyes. "Now you think I'm stupid?"

"I never said you were stupid." The ravenette says. "It's just that you've been through a lot. And it's going to be hard to just bounce back in a couple of months. Especially while you're pregnant."

"I know it's going to be hard, that doesn't mean I need you to swoop in and save me," Taehyung says looking down at his hands again. "You can't make this your problem like you do with everything else."

"You are my problem, Taehyung. You've been my problem for over two years now." Jeongguk says with a bit of annoyance in his tone. He wasn't annoyed with Taehyung, he was just annoyed that he was too stubborn to let him help. "You're Hanie and Jae's dad, that should be enough of a reason to let me help you."

   "I don't need your charity~"

"Honestly, Taehyung, you do," Jeongguk says, sighing when he sees the tears forming in Taehyung's eyes. "There's nothing wrong with needing help."

"I don't want to depend on you for everything, Jeongguk. I've spent the last six months depending on someone else for everything and I hate that feeling." Taehyung says holding back his tears. "You just don't understand how useless, and out of control that makes me feel."

"I'm not offering my help to control you, Taehyung. I'm doing this from a place of love and because I care about you." Jeongguk says trying to meet Taehyung's eyes as he speaks. "I'm not trying to hold anything over your head here."

Taehyung is worried that if he responds the flood gates will open, so instead he remains silent as he holds back his tears. He genuinely didn't know what to do, so much was up in the air for him at the moment. He didn't know if he was keeping the baby, he didn't know if he still had a job after the baby came, and he had no idea how he was going to even start getting back on his feet. It took him four and a half years of college to get on his feet, and his parents were paying his rent half the time.

"You don't have to make any decisions right now," Jeongguk says after the brunette falls silent, standing with a sigh before walking to the kitchen. "I'm here for you, Tae, even if you don't want me to be."

That was the thing with Jeongguk ever since he met him, he just wanted to fix everything. It was endearing at times and it was very much appreciated, but he couldn't fix everything. He couldn't take this situation and work it out like he's done in the past because this wasn't his problem.

He would just have to understand that.
