Chapter 11 {Fail}

"Nice save!" you yelled out and hid behind a pillar as Axel and Jinx fired weapons all around the building. After the majority of the people at the party were dead, you went out to knock Arthur's bodyguards out. You then took Ash and ran out of the building.

"Well, that didn't go according to plan, did it," Ash said, disappointed. You told him, trying to boost his spirits, "It's fine. I'm pretty sure that we'll do better once we come up with another plan." "I'll be right back." He said, then went off. You feared that he would do something drastic while he was away. Since you were now separated, you had to meet him at the bridge at sunset. Ash went to a place that would calm him down, the public library.

There was a man, reading the newspaper as he sat in front of Ash. "So, Ash." The man said. Ash gasped, got up, and left immediately. Ash wondered anxiously, shakily stepping out of the building just as fast as he could. "What is he doing here? What does he want from me?" "Don't worry, I don't want to fight, I just want to talk." He said. The man pulled down his hood, revealing his identity. Arthur. Just as Ash knew. "What do you want from me?!" Ash yelled. "I just came to you to tell you that you should get rid of that girl," Arthur whispered threateningly. "You can't tell me what to do!" "Oh, I see... You don't get it... You're gonna get her killed. I suggest you leave her if you don't want that to happen." Arthur walked around Ash in circles.

Yes, Ash wanted the best for you. But he didn't want to leave you. He begged you to stay with him that other night, crying and laying his head on your shoulder. He needed you. And without another word, Arthur stepped away. "I'm winning this one for sure," Arthur said in his head, scarily smiling as he left.

You arrived at the bridge, late as always. "Huh? Ash?!" You called out. He was nowhere to be seen at the bridge. "Hmm... He's probably late. Haha! I'm early this time!" You exclaimed in delight, jumping around the bridge as strange stares came upon you. You waited and waited. And waited... No Ash. He didn't show up. An hour has already passed by. You got worried and ran back to your house.

"Y/N! Where have you been?" Your sister screamed, putting her arms around you. You pulled her off of you disapprovingly and asked Jinx, who was playing tennis with Axel: "Hey, have you seen Ash? He didn't show up at the bridge today." "Oh, yes, he just returned. I think he went upstairs to the guest room or something." Jinx replied, clinching another round of tennis.

"Ash?" You knocked on his door. He looked really stressed out and snapped at you. "Go away!" He cried. You heard him screaming in fear, so you attempted to help out. "Ash, what's going on with you? You didn't show up at the bri-" "Shut up! Leave me alone!" Ash's angry and frightening words were like a blade striking you. After understanding his feelings, you left his room without saying anything else.

You put on your black denim jacket and let everyone know you were going on a walk. The only person you didn't inform was Ash. He didn't want you to talk to him anyway. Ash picked up a pillow from his bed, screamed into it, and began saying all sorts of stuff. "Why?!" He screamed.

On your walk, you looked up at the bright stars and the moon. It made you smile quite a bit. When you sensed two people behind you, the smile vanished. You grabbed both of their heads and mangled them together. You were sure that it would kill them, then ran away.

Once you turned the corner, a tall buff man took hold of you. You wriggled around in the man's arms like a worm. "Stop it at once." ordered that horrible blonde man, Arthur. He smacked you in the face. It barely hurt, but you were angry. Whoever hurt you, you needed to hurt back. "What's up with these guys? They're stronger than the ones I encountered back then!" You thought. Arthur seemed to have sent out those who were most weak first.

You also noticed that as Arthur sent more men, they got stronger and stronger.

You had no idea where Arthur would be taking you after he shoved you into his car and started driving away. "What are you going to do with m-" That buff man punched you across the face, leaving a blood mark strolling down the corner of your mouth. As expected, it didn't hurt.
