[Gold PoV] (Doing povs now to lessen confusion)

"Hey, sis! Wake up!"

I could hear my brother getting impatient as he spoke to me. I slowly got up.

"Alright, alright, I'm up... what do you need?" I asked him.

"I could hear the workers nearby," he replied, "I woke you up just in case."

He was right. I could hear human chatter not too far off.

"That's okay," I told him, "Imma go see what they're doing, okay?"

"Kay!"

I stood up and stood by the door of our containment, where a window looked out into a hallway. A small group of humans were dragging someone.

Huh. Wonder who that have now...

As they got closer, I could see that it was a girl with silver-gray cat ears and small wings.

Wait... WAIT IS THAT QUICKLIGHT?! How did they get her, I thought Bir-

My thoughts were interrupted by a human pounding on the cell door.

"Time for testing," he said, annoyed with me even though I did nothing. "And get your idiot brother, too."

I sighed. "Alright..."

I looked over my shoulder, where my brother was sitting.

"Blacklight, time for testing!" I said. Blacklight stood and walked over to me. I heard him mutter something along the lines of "I hate tests" or something.

Some humans came in a grabbed us, some kind of taser device digging into both my and Blacklight's backs. On the way, we passed multiple other cells, most containing a creature, or "abomination" as the humans like to call us, of some kind. Some were aimlessly pacing back and forth, others were furiously scratching and clawing at the doors or walls of their cells.

Once we reached the testing chamber, the humans left us with two other abominations, most likely decoys brought to life by Prism.

A voice was heard over the speakers.

"You know the drill. FIGHT!"

I rushed forward as the decoy attacked, and I turned it immediately into emeralds. I heard an explosion nearby, most likely the fate of Blacklight's decoy.

Some humans came in and grabbed us, guiding us out of the chamber.

"New one's next," one of them muttered to a guard at the testing chamber door. I assumed that was Quicklight. I made a mental note of that in my head.

As we got to Blacklight and I's cell, the humans shoved us in, saying something along the lines of "dangerous freaks" as they closed the door and locked it.

I sighed. Tomorrow's gonna be a long day...

After a few minutes, sleep finally took me in its calm, relaxing arms.
