Night shift. The shift everyone hates. And since I'm the new guy, I have to do it. "Builds experience" they said.

I hate this.

A door made a long, ominous creeeaaak sound. I jumped at the sudden sound.

Pinksilver isn't real, Pinksilver isn't real...

I tried to convince myself.

It all happened so fast.

In a heartbeat I was pinned to the wall, a knife at my throat. I wanted to scream, run, do anything to get away, but a voice darker than shadow spoke, silencing me.

"If you scream, I will kill you in the slowest, most painful way possible. Got it?"

I shut my mouth in fear of being torn to shreds.

It was silent for a moment before I was teleported to another room. I coughed as a rancid smell filled my senses.

The knife wasn't digging into my throat any longer, and the presence in front of me had disappeared. I turned on my flashlight, and what awaited me would most likely stay with me until I die.

Five macabre dead bodies, littered around the dark room.

One had a large stab wound in his head, and one of their eyes a bloody mass. Both of his arms were gone, somewhere in the dark corners in the room.

The second had no eyes or arms, and a deep slit ran across their throat. 

The third one had a giant X across their head and again no arms.

The fourth one had X's on both of their eyes and part of their neck was gone, and there was a stab wound in their heart area, and, to top it off no arms. 

The last one was decapitated and no arms or eyes.   

I looked away and threw up, leaving a bitter taste on my tongue. I fell due to the vomiting and looked up to see none other than Pinksilver standing over me.  

Fear took icy hold on my body. "A-are y-y-you g-go-going t-to k-kill m-me?" I shakily asked 

 "No," she smiled, her grin anything but friendly. "I'll use you to get me more people down here...and don't worry, if they try and kill you I'll protect you" 

 Knowing that if I say no I'll be a sixth body down here so I said the only available answer 

"Ok, I'll help you."
