Chapter 3
We arrived inside the star, and I looked around.
Captain Hook's pirate ship, the crocodile that goes 'tick-tock', the Lost-Boys hideout, Mermaid's Lagoon, the Indian camp, anywhere from the storybook, you name it. It was here.
"Peter," I gasped. "This is amazing!"
He laughed. "Seriously. Wendy. Are you sure your alright? You normally aren't like this when we always visit..."
"Yes," I breathed. "But I need to tell you something."
"What is it?" Peter gave me a worried look. "Are you hurt?"
"No... I-I- I'm not- not Wendy. This won't make much sense, but I'm not Wendy. I know I'm in her body, but I'm not her. My actual name is Alexia Court, and I'm not from England. I'm from America. Delaware, to be exact.
"If what I just said made any sense to you, that explains why I was behaving the way I was. Do you understand, even just a little?" I rambled.
"Yes," smiled Peter. "I understand. Well, at least I think I do. So you don't look like Wendy in person?"
"No, but I wish I did," I sighed. "I have waist-long golden blonde hair, with shimmering emerald eyes." I'm pretty sure I made myself sound prettier than I actually was, considering the fact that I used Esmerelda's description instead of my own.
Suddenly, I felt my hair surprisingly grow much longer, and my eyes burned.
"Woah," breathed Peter. "T-t-that's y-you?"
"Yes," I mumbled. I felt my cheeks grow very hot. This was embarrassing.
"Wow, Alexia. You're so much prettier than Wendy," Peter gushed. "You're so beautiful."
"Thanks." A smile crept onto my face.
I looked down and saw we were most certainly plummeting to our death, because we were dropping down so fast.
"PETER! WE'RE GONNA FALL!!!" I screeched.
"Glad someone noticed," huffed John, rather smug. "It's about time. We've been falling for quite a while. Since we're falling down at a 90 degree angle, I'm pretty sure we are going to crash-land straight into Captain Hook's pirate ship. So Peter, you might wanna pay more attention to your surroundings, rather than staring at... Sorry, didn't quite catch your name."
"That's because I never told it to you," I snapped. "I'm Alexia. Michael, John, I don't look much like your sister anymore, do I?"
Michael stared at me dumbstruck. "But- how- what?"
I sighed. "Look, I'm not actually your sister. I'm actually from a different time period also. What year is this exactly? Around the 1970's, correct? Well, that's when the movie was made anyways. I guess you could say this. I- I'm from the future. 2015, to be exact-"
"Woah, woah, woah. Slow your roll princess. You're from the future?" questioned Peter.
"Yes," I replied. "Now I will most certainly vanish from the future if you don't save us now! Peter, help! Save us!"
"That would be pleasant," mumbled John.
"Shut up, John. This is a bad time for a smart-️️️Alec remark," I snapped.
"Mother's always taught us 'shut up' is a bad word! How dare you, Wendy!" cried Michael.
"Oh. Wait," realized Michael. "You aren't Wendy. So nevermind."
I laughed. I couldn't help it. Michael is so adorable!
"PETER!!!" I screeched, louder than the first time.
"Um. You didn't look down, did you, Alexia? We are further upwards, and we aren't over the pirate ship anymore," laughed Peter.
"Oh." I blushed. "No, I didn't look down. And please, give me a nickname."
"A nickname?" Peter asked. "What's that?" He laughed. "Just kidding. I'm not that much behind."
I also laughed. "Good. I thought you were being serious at first. So. Where are we flying to precisely?"
Peter smiled at me. "To answer your question, Lexa, we are flying to my hideout. Not the Lost-Boys one. Its a hideout only for me."
Lexa. Peter's nickname for me. I like it. A lot. I like it a lot.
"But- that's not in the storybook or movie-" I mumbled. Peter shot a confused look at me. "Nevermind," I finished saying.
"Wend- sorry- Alexia, have you seen movies, in color?" gasped Michael.
I laughed. "Michael, I sure have! You'll probably see a colored-movie sometime soon. You'll most likely still be alive."
"Enough foolish talk," snapped John. "We need to take shelter. I swear I just saw a cannon ball behind us. Captain Hook may be unto us. So c'mon, lets go."
Peter led Michael, John, and I to his own hideout. It was amazing. There were bear skin hideouts on the floor, currently being used as carpets.
"Wow. Peter," I breathed. "This is amazing."
He smiled. "I know."
"Wow. Didn't think you were so arrogant," I sarcastically remarked.
"Alexia, please. Peter isn't arrogant. He's simply conceited. Get your vocabulary worked on," corrected John.
"Look, John," I hissed. "Do you have friends? Because in my time and place, you wouldn't have any. No one likes a know-it-all, so good luck finding someone who'll wanna be your friend. So I would change it if I were you. Sorry if that came out a little wrong!" I made sure I said the last part very cheery, so all of it didn't sound very mean.
John gave me his hardest glare, and to finish the mean look off, he rolled his eyes.
"Jeez. So rude," he grumbled.
Peter laughed. "Cheer up John! You'll never get anywhere in life with such a sour attitude. Hey guys, feel free to make yourself at home, since we'll be staying her for a while I presume. The bathroom is down the hall to your right, and it's the last door. There are four bedrooms total in my hide-out, including mine. Lexa, yours can be the last room on the left. It was originally designed for Tinkerbell, but since she... you know... died..." His eyes watered with tears. Then he cleared his throat. "Hm. Like I was saying, that's your room. Michael, your room is right across the way from Lexa's. John, your room is across from mine. Hope you all sleep well. Tomorrow we've got a quest to start."
I gasped. "W-what quest?!? I never heard of a quest! John, Michael, did you know of this quest? Peter, if you told me before, I could've already been close to finishing this quest! Just tell me the quest already, would you?!?"
Peter whispered, "Alright. The quest is..." He looked away. "Well... it's not really a quest. I want to figure out why you're here, and what ending you meant."
